Although there's been some staff changes, Dr Curley continues to give stellar aid to my fur babies. The staff has had a turnover but the current ladies and gentleman have always been kind and attentive. Very thorough as they explain the puppy plan as we start fresh. And everyone was absolutely supportive in helping us say goodbye to our 11 yr old English Bully. They even blessed me with a mold of his paw Thank you Acacia staff! Y'all have a tough job and my respect

I don't know what is going on with this vet lately but i took both my dogs here for years & within this last year literally days after taking them here, my dog died & a couple months later my second dog died both were seen here 1-2 days before they died. At first I didn't blame them because i figured it was old age in my dogs but, i have family members that also take their furry friends here & every single one has been having issues with this vet.

It breaks my heart to know my family & i brought all of our pets here thinking they'll help them when in. reality they have been either dying or getting worst in health. I hate to be the one to write this review but if you love your pets, please do not bring them here. --also, i called to ask for both of my dogs vet charts to know what happened on both of their last visits & they have not gotten that to me.

When my last dog died, they had done test on him & i was told i would get a call the next day to know what was found & i never received a call. i had to call the office myself to ask for answers & the person i spoke with didn't know anything so she asked the dr. & he didn't know anything either. mind you, they were both fine until i bright they here. same with my families pets.

Monster assistants at acacia pet clinic. My name is Magdalena Suchan and I have cat that got sick. I have called acacia pet clinic and they told me to come before 12. I was there at 12:05 due to traffic. I was told by two assistants one with tattoos and one new with blond long hair I can't admit my sick cat anymore because I am late and they are going to lunch.

I stood there for twenty minutes outside crying as they laughed gossiped and did nothing then third female assistant joined them. They told me I can come another day trying to prove point I was late. What an evil they did nothing just laughed. Dr Curly was on lunch. I went there for years Dr Curly is the Best but that young selfish ladies kids have no idea about customer service and any empathy to animal life. I would be scared to leave my pet with them. 4088543252

I decided to switch to Acacia Pet Clinic since it's in my neighborhood and had my first appointment today with my two dogs. The workers both on the phone and in person were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Curley came out to greet us after seeing our dogs. Our first overall experience was very good and we are very happy to have Acacia Pet Clinic as our new place for our dogs to be taken care of and I highly recommend them!

I was visiting from out of town and my diabetic dog was having some issues. If I could give Acacia Pet Clinic 10 Stars I would. Everyone is as kind and courteous. They really helped me and my dog out of a last minute, stressful, unforeseen circumstance. They couldn't have been more helpful, caring, and such a calming force. I can't recommend them enough for being such a source of goodness for me when I was so stressed!

My family & I have literally been bringing our pets here for the last 2 decades! I'm SO disappointed in Acacia Pet Clinic right now. The customer service is terrible, the overall morale of this place has gone down hill significantly. I miss the good ol' days of great customer service, friendly staff members & just kindness in general. I get that we're still in the middle of a pandemic & people are burnt out/stressed (we all are), but that doesn't give you the right to be a complete jerk especially when you work in customer service, OR maybe that's just how this person acts naturally.

I was running late for an appointment this AM & gave the clinic a heads up via phone call, I was told by a staff member named Poncha that if I wasn't there within 15 mins of my scheduled appointment time, that I would have to reschedule. I arrived 13 mins within my scheduled appointment time & called from my car when I arrived, with no answer on the phone.

I called again right after, in which Poncha replied with "Well unfortunately it's too late now, you have to reschedule" I'm like wait what you just told me like 10 mins ago via phone that if I get there within 15 mins of my appointment time, that I'm ok, it's literally 13 mins without my appointment time. Poncha replied with "Well 30 seconds doesn't really make a big difference, you've already taken up half of your appointment time, we have other appointments after you" I kept trying to explain that when I had called earlier, I was told if I didn't get there within 15 mins of my appointment, I had to reschedule & in fact I was there within 13 mins, literally with 2 mins to spare!

Why would she tell me this initially & then completely flip the script?! Why wouldn't she just tell me on the initial phone call to reschedule, like why would you even say that at all & give our false information? It also didn't help at all that she was straight up RUDE with a huge attitude problem. Don't get me wrong, there have been some really amazing staff members that I've dealt with at Acacia, but today's experience completely ruined it for me. Acacia, you really need to work on correctly training your staff members in customer service. It's sad to say this but I'll be on the lookout for a new vet for my pet.

They do a great job with either our cats or dog. The vet techs are always helpful and communicative as well as the vets themselves. Always feel very confident and safe bringing our loved ones here

December 30, 2021 We have been going to Acacia pet clinic for almost 25 years and have always been satisfied with their service but today was different, as I have never been insulted like this before from this establishment or any other place. Summary of my calls, drop of and pickup of my GSD (German Shepherd Dog) to Acacia Pet Clinic We noticed our 10 year old GSD was licking her paw and was limping now and then this past week.

I contacted Acacia yesterday and made an appointment to drop off the dog this morning. I walked in with a list of my concerns and they took the dog in and informed me that they would call me with the results in the afternoon. I called about 2 o'clock and was left on hold even before asking me what I was calling for, then someone picked up the phone again, and once again put me on hold.

I was then transferred to the back to speak to Angelisa but put back on hold for a few minutes and then finally got connected. There were a few calls to them and from them and I was again placed on hold multiple times and I waited. I was not going to mention any of the above inconveniences as it happens in business. This was the straw that broke my back.

I returned to pick up my GSD and waited patiently at the counter for about 5 minutes as Billy was explaining to a customer on the phone about their concerns. He was the only one in the front at this time. It looked like they were closing but it was 4:30 and the sign said 6 pm. I finally excused myself and asked Billy if there was anyone else working and if I could be served. Billy barked at me and said to wait outside and that I should have not been in there in the beginning. (that is what the sign does say outside, my fault that I did not read) This is where I stood, at the same spot this morning and filled out the papers, where another customer was also and where I returned to pick up my dog and waited without being told differently.

I was so insulted by him that I had to count to 10 not to lose my temper. I went outside and waited another few minutes. I was so frustrated that I was going to leave without my dog, but I could not. Billy brought out my bill of $ 999. and I paid and then waited again for my dog. I finally opened the door and asked for my dog to be brought out to me and I left.

I do not understand this change in attitude or management style, but because of this, they may have lost my business. I hope that the owners will look into this and try and correct this situation or maybe it was my expectations of past services I got and was expecting!

My family has been going to Dr. Curley since the late 60's/early 70's. First my Grandmother, then my Mom; and now me. My family has trusted him with the care of all of our four-legged friends, and recommend him to anyone in the area who is looking for a veterinarian. He really does go above and beyond. I adopted a kitten earlier this year, and two times I have had to bring her in due to concerns.

Each time they were able to get me in to see Dr. Curley that day. The office staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, and are always happy to answer any questions I have about my pet's care. I am so grateful for Dr. Curley and his amazing staff. If you are looking for a new veterinarian, Acacia Pet Clinic is amazing!

A friend of mine has always spoke highly of this clinic. I recently rescued a rabbit and was so glad to hear they see rabbits. Very helpful over the phone. A week or so later called to make an appointment for nail trim and I was able to take Panda that day. From the young woman answering the phone 8-09 a.m. to our wonderful, nice technician Bruce.

Over all great experience being curbside. Also they asked if I wanted to set up a chart for Panda to have in their system. Very happy they are taking new clients. Great job to the staff!

HORRIBLE customer service. Called to ask if they have vet rabbit specialist. The most annoyingly rude person, BILL, answered with "idk what you're talking about, we have vets that see rabbits but no rabbit specialists so." Being defensive, I was explicitly said I'm glad he's not the vet, and that I wanted to know the exam cost and earliest availability they had for my rabbit.

He said to give him a minute. He came back a good 5 minutes later after putting me on hold to literally say "we're not accepting rude and disrespectful clients right now" and hangs up on me." Because I was already driving there, I went in to complain only to receive THE HORRIBLE SERVICE. I asked for his manager to which she, Melina, apologized, said that she'd talk to her staff and will assure me she'd call me back as a way to apologize and possibly get me a free vet exam.

She also said they are accepting new clients and they had availability this week and next. BUT SHE NEVER. CALLED. BACK. I went to oakridge vet hospital and they were more pricey. But phenomenal beginning to end. You get what you pay for. My bunny is doing well.

Great vet service at Acacia, called on Wednesday had an appt by Thursday. Curbside service, attention to detail and the doc came out in the rain to answer any questions and to explain that my boo boo dog is doing great, gave advise on products to prevent ticks/fleas. best of all. I had concerns about my dog itching and he didn't try and push any drugs at me, told me unless it was causing visual bald spots or skin irritation to continue with the products I've been using ie. benadryl, topical itch relief.

My cat and dog both had dental cleanings during their 30%off promo. they were very well taken care of and the staff did a great job keeping me up to date and informed on what was happening with them. with the promo discount, the price was very affordable, even with the after care meds. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Do NOT bring your guinea pig here. They claim to have experience with guinea pigs but clearly have no idea what they are doing. We brought our super healthy bouncy happy animal here last week with a very minor UTI. they prescribed her very strong antibiotics that made her sick after two doses, after the vet ASSURED us there were no side effects to the treatment.

Now she's lethargic, wont eat and isn't going to the bathroom. We called the clinic and sent an email to complain and they were completely unhelpful. We will not be returning and can only hope our sweet animal gets better.

Unfortunately we're not their clients (too far). We adopted a new puppy which was serviced at their clinic and they were kind enough to send us it's records via email in a matter of minutes. Very professional and pleasure to deal with. Thank You!

Until I moved from the area, Acacia was my go-to veterinary clinic for many years, providing excellent service to my extended family's multiple dog and cat rescue animals. The Acacia vets and staff feel like family and I will miss them so much.

We've been taking our fur babies to this clinic for over 15 years. We've always received exceptional care and have never had any complaints. Unfortunately our 13 year old French bulldog passed away a few months ago and as you can imagine our family was devastated! Not only did the staff at Acacia Pet Clinic mail us a beautiful sympathy card with hand written sentiments, they also gave us ink paw imprints of our baby girl and a clay paw imprint as a keepsake when we had her cremated. This kind gesture was unexpected and greatly appreciated. Thank you Dr. Curley and team for always taking such great care of our fur babies!

We've been sending our pets here for about a decade now. Amazing vets- though a bit in the chatty side. They seem fairly priced and both of our fur babies have been in good health!

Dr Curley is the best. We take our three guinea pigs to him. He and his staff go above and beyond to accomodate us and give us peace of mind. I can't even count how many times Acacia has come through for us at the last minute to help us in any way we need. I could not recommend them strongly enough.

I just adopted a puppy and I needed to find a good vet to update her vaccinations. I emailed them with a few question and they replied really quickly and super politely and helpful! I just brought my puppy in for her first check up and the doctor was great, very professional yet friendly with the dog, she answered all my question patiently and gave her the shots she needed. Overall a really positive experience. Thanks so much guys! :

I've been bringing my pets to Acacia Pet Clinic for years and have always trusted and appreciated the care and attention they've received. Dr. J always takes time to ask detailed questions about my pets (and even remembers certain issues and follows up). She's even called after hours and over the weekend to make sure my dog was responding well to her med! Dr. Curley is super sweet and gentle.

It makes a difference when you see and feel the extra effort a vet takes to build a relationship with the pet as well as the owner. I always recommend Acacia and TRUST them with the lives of my beloved fur babies! Also, Billy has like some super power over my dog. she just LOVES him!

I am begging everyone not to bring their pets here, and here's why: I adopted my beloved jack russell mix, Little Dude, about 11 years ago when he was 9 months old, and Dr. Curley had been his vet from the very beginning. However, in April of this year (2019) Little Dude's liver began failing, and he was placed on a liver support drug prescribed by Dr. Curley, however, in an act of gross negligence and veterinary malpractice, Dr. Curley failed to inform us that this liver support regimen would damage Little Dude's pancreas.

After months of keeping up with the medication, my mother and I noticed Little Dude's weight start to drastically decline, so he was brought back in, and Dr. Curley simply told us to "feed him whatever he wants", while completely ignoring the obvious signs of (what we now know) was pancreatitis. After weeks of everyone in this office ignoring our pleas of "please help, our dog is dying", Dr. Curley FINALLY had the common sense to transfer Little Dude over to an emergency clinic, where we were IMMEDIATELY informed by the E.R. vet that our precious baby was suffering from diabetic Ketoacidosis, a condition that could have been completely avoided if Dr. Curley and his staff had informed us of the deadly side effects of the liver medication.

In the end, Little Dude passed away in my arms on Friday, and my life has been turned completely upside down; all because of Dr. Curley's blatant incompetence and failure to provide us with what could have been life saving information. Please, don't risk your animal's life, take them to a different vet.

Both the receptionists have too much attitude & rude. We have been paying $45/month on the plan, and have not used it much. But in the recent visit, !they think they want to charge full amount withiut looking into the computer. I was very disappointed in the recent visit. They Think they there to make money & not care about your pet. There are other better vet places out there. They make money by adding lot of medications to the list and charging money to pet owners without looking at real symptoms of the pet.

Really appreciate how great Dr. Curley was with our German Shepherd, she was nervous going in but he put her at ease and made her comfortable with him! He was able to identify the issue without having to do billions of tests which was GREATLY appreciated and just shows he knows what he's talking about. We will never take her anywhere else!

We have been served by Acacia since 2000. They are one of the few Vets that embrace my bullies. They have tended 2 of our loving pit bulls, 1 bulldog & our 3 cats. Two of our cats are 16 & 15 years old, so they have been seen here since they were born. One is a diabetic and the other is blind now. Our 2 year old rescue kitty, was just days old when we found him, alone in the backyard.

We would have been lost without having Acacia staff to help us nurture that lil rascal.he grew up to be a reckless Snowshoe Siamese! They also ushered us through losing both of our pit bulls to cancer. They have been sensitive when times are hard, giving us options on a sliding scale, when finances are difficult. Animal care is never cheap, that comes with being a pet owner, but Acacia has always been very caring & understanding. And I appreciate their heart as they always foster rescue kitties for adoption. Thanks Acacia! RIP Bravo RIP Chancho Guapo Lucy Cujo Artemis

If I could give 0 stars I would. We have been taking my puppy to Acacia since she first came to live with us and we did the puppy package with them which was fine but then we needed to get her spayed and microchipped. When we went to get her stitches removed we also asked for a physical exam so we could ask about why my dog was limping they took out the sutures and did a walk test and said there's a small limb but she'll be fine.

We then called back a week later because my dog could no longer stand, they couldn't fit us in for like two days and I wasn't gonna sit there and watch my dog not be able to walk for two more days. I went to a new vet and we have spent thousands of dollars on x-rays and different pills until we found out from a vet neurologist that my dog has an infection called disco-for short. THE FIRST SYMPTOM IS LIMPING AFTER A PROCEDURE.

This infection was caused by an unsterilized environment while my puppy was getting spayed. My seven-month-old puppy has not been able to walk for a month and will now have to be on antibiotics for a year to treat this infection. It's disgusting that my dog had to live through this and that it happened because she was in an unsterilized environment. Anything beyond simple vaccinations is too much for this clinic to handle go somewhere else!

A-OK, nothing really wrong with this clinic, however, the vet will really try to push you food products. (whichever they are sponsored by) Took my puppy there to get the rest of his shots and he didn't trust that he had already gotten the first two shots at the vet in San Diego. I was super annoyed. I ended up buying his puppy shot package ($145? range) which wasn't bad and it didn't hurt to get more vaccination.

I also got judged by saying I kept the same food as the previous owner, Dr. Gary's Best Breeds. Eh, whatever, brush it off. Overall, it is what it is. He does a decent job or getting things done. Nothing specatular or horribly bad.

A very common DEATH among dogs is swallowing a sharp object that is not digestible. COMMON! This clinic missed it. As a result my dog has passed away. Instead it was "Give her two aspirin and call me in the morning" type of response. Dead pet due to poor diagnosis. This clinic is all about making a buck and the hell with your pets health. Please, avoid them and go elsewhere.

I've past by this vey all my life and never thought much of it until I needed a vet for my guinea pig. Emily some how messed up her eye either by her or something in her cage, but it was bad. Her regular vet wasn't available for a week and I was panicked. I called Acacia and they said they would look at her. A five minute drive later, I was there and staff was very sympathetic over her. Dr. Curley was so nice and prescribed eye meds.

He was in no rush and made sure I knew everything about guinea pigs and answered all my questions. A week later, no improvement on her eye, so back to vet. They took her right in. Vet suggested surgery and I cried. Paid a small fee for the day she was kept there. The morning of surgery, the vet called and said a miracle happened and a scab formed which was a good sign. Vet said she's eating and looks happy. Picked her up and Dr. Curley came out to talk.

I was so relieved. Emily is doing fine for the moment. The staff here were extremely kind and sentimental. They know how much you care for your animals and treat them like they are people. I will continue to bring Emily here. I am ecstatic for the care she received and the minimal cost. Thank you Dr. Curley and staff. You saved my Emily!

I just moved to San Jose and was very excited about taking my two 3-month old puppies here because my family members highly recommended them. I made an appointment for 9:30am on a Monday morning. Figuring the initial vet visit would be about a half hour or so, I arranged my schedule so that my other appointments would all line up. At 10:03am I was still waiting.yes, you read that right, I was by myself with two squirmy, hyper puppies and they left me waiting for over a half hour after my scheduled appointment time.

I understand that sometimes things happen, like an emergency that needs immediate attention, but no one apologized or explained what was happening, and why the doctor was running late. It was my first time at the clinic and they just left me sitting there, wondering what was going on. When the tech finally came out to get me (I was waiting in the parking lot to be courteous to the staff and other patrons, since one of my pups is a loud whiner) there was another dog inside. I'd explained on the phone that one of the puppies is leash reactive, and couldn't be around other dogs until he'd had more training, yet that was the moment they chose to try and bring us in.

At that point I was done--I not only had another appointment to get to, I also realized the lack of attention and customer service were not going to work for me. I truly wish they'd made a better first impression, but unfortunately that's not the case. If you decide to try this vet, be prepared to feel like you, your animal, and your business don't matter to them. Good luck!
