All American Pet

This was my third pet food stop the other day. Thankfully I called before just driving across town. I get a specific brand for my girls that very few stores carry, and this is one of them. The price is about the same at all of the stores, so I can't say I am saving anything. I honestly wish the store that is closer to me had what I was looking for.

This is quite the drive. I was how ever thankful they set aside a bag on hold after I called. I was a little disappointed after I asked about their grooming. I have heard great things, and I have one of my girls I like to take in to someone. She has thicker fur than I like to deal with. They said their groomer isn't interested in excepting new clients. Okay! Wow what a turn off of a business to me.

The customer service was great, was happy to have gotten what I needed as far as the food, but very disappointed in not being able to utilize the grooming service. But hey. Maybe it is a blessing in disguise. My Pom probably would have gotten a butcher job that I would not approved of. I like to keep my Pomeranian's looking natural, and a lot of these places like to make Pomeranians looking like Boo Bear Pom.

That is not cute to me. So like I said: maybe I dodged a bullet. I am glad this place provides healthy options of food. I honestly believe what you feed your pet makes a huge difference in their overall health. This place has a great selection of foods. Customer service was just okay. They do seem at least helpful, and knowledgeable about their products.

So if you are in the market for healthy pet food this is your store. Grooming, big fat nope! The store is not the closest one to me, so actually wasn't the first one I would shop at. But when in need of food sure.

EDIT: Well, the day after my dog had his grooming appointment, that I thought went so well, I was so wrong. He now has HUGE scabs all over his face, and neck. Poor guy can't stop itching and I have to keep a cone on him so the scabs don't get infected from him trying to scratch them. They also didn't get his nails trimmed much. The staff and store itself are still all nice with high quality products.

I just won't be taking my dog back to the groomers there. Original Review: I wish I had known about their grooming services sooner! My 11-lb terrier mix looks the best he's ever has! The groomer did exactly as I asked, no nicks or patches anywhere. Plus, the store is full of high quality, clean ingredient treats, foods, toys, etc! All the staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable. Will definitely continue to go back indefinitely!

We have taken our dogs three times and had pleasant experiences. My girlfriend tried to call ahead the first time and was told "oh don't worry just walk in. We do walk ins." So we have always done walk ins. Today, we were treated poorly and were told that we should have called ahead. I tried telling the lady at the register that we have never been told this and she ignored me and kept walking. We will not be going back.

Richie was so so helpful! He asked if i needed help, and when i brought up a medical concern i was trying to alleviate for my dog he proved to be VERY knowledgeable. Besides staff knowing what they're talking about, their food selection is AWESOME! Really good prices on brands i struggle to find because of specific diet needs. When it comes to quality food options (including raw!), good advice, and a grooming station in-store you GOTTA check it out. I basically immediately decided that this store will be my go-to for my general AND very specific needs. Amazing local business!

Great place! Happy to drive over from Eugene anytime and found exactly what I was looking for. Always nice to talk to a small business owner who lives in the community and knows his stuff.

Best service! Very clean Excellent selection of food, mic products. Very professional with our animals. They sell some awesome locally made cat scratching posts. Highly recommend this place!

Having a dog with allergy issues can be such a challenge, and your selection and knowledge about dog food was exactly what we needed. I look forward to coming back for our food and supply needs for our two dogs and our cat.

I made an appointment to have my cat groomed about 3 weeks ago. The 1st available appt was for today, December 22nd. I asked if they had a wait list in the event that someone canceled and I could bring her in sooner. I was told that my name would be put on that list as well. 2 days ago I called to verify my appointment. I got the voice mail message and left my name and number and the reason I was calling.

Someone called me back promptly and confirmed my appointment on December 22nd at 11:00 So far, all good and well. I called about 10:am this morning to say that my son would be bringing my cat in. Was placed on hold and then told that there was no appointment in my name and was I sure i was calling the right store. Then I was hung up on. I called back again, This time I was told that my name was on the wait list with an appointment scheduled for January 22nd and did I want to bring my cat in on that day.

I said 'no' and hung up. Prior to this, I always had good service at the store. But I will not be returning. Did I mention that my son drove in from Eugene to help me take her in since I do not drive. Not that it would have mattered. Lousy customer service with a capital L

Ritchie remembers my name, they have very high quality dog food and I love that I am supporting local when I shop here. I live in Eugene but it's worth the drive for me. They also give you a free bag after every 10th bag purchased.

Yes have taken my dog to be groomed here twice. The first time the cut was a bit short but I overlooked that because I love locally owned small businesses. But this last time that I took my dog and they did a terrible job grooming her. We have been to the beach and she had gotten sand in her ears. Ear cleaning is part of the grooming that I paid for yet she still has sand in her ears and now I'm headed to the vet to get them cleaned properly. Avoid the groomers here!

I was looking to get a good quality cat food for my cats. Richie is so knowledgeable about the different foods and what is in them. I learned that the expensive food I was using wasn't the highest quality, and found a good quality food thanks to Richie's help.

Great customer service! Love this place. My dog got her nails done (which she hates!) and Michelle was so sweet and genuine with taking care of her. Now my dog is prancing around with her special treat that we bought there. Recommend the Nothin' to hide rawhide alternative. Happy Dog & Happy Mom!

Excellent customer service. I haven't found a question yet that Richie (the owner) doesn't know the answer to. All of their employees are really knowledgeable and super friendly. And their groomers (Michelle!) has the patience of a saint when working with my puppy. And if you try a new treat or type of food and your pet doesn't like it, you can return it! If they don't happen to be the closest place to where you live, it's absolutely worth driving a little farther. Me and my dog (Bert "The Squirt" Reynolds") highly recommend!

I came here months ago but I am still upset about my experience. I brought my older cat there and this was her first grooming experience. I went to drop her off at the window and I wasn't greeted for a while. I felt more ignored than anything. Then The older lady finally acknowledged me and I told her my cat has arthritis in her hips and to please be gentle her response was "ok?" And she told me my cat would be done at 5.

I came at 4:45 to see if my cat was done and I had some tip money in my hand for the groomer. She looked at me and said "can i helped you?" And when I asked about my cat she looked at the clock and said very rudely " I said she wouldn't be done till 5" she's was rude to me I was almost in tears and worried about my cat and how she may have treated her.

The younger woman at the desk apologized for her behavior and she said she's just "old and grumpy" so I put my tip away. The groomer ran late so I sent my boyfriend to pick her up so I could head to work. I will never take my cat back there. You cannot treat pet owners this way.

This store is the best. They have quality products, if you go there enough the folks know you by name. They have a rewards program and are happy to help you out to your car. One thing I love is that they often give you a little extra something like treats now and again at no extra cost. I love supporting local and am glad I found this place. Highly recommended. I've never used the grooming services.

Am new in Springfield and took my cat in today to have her nails trimmed. It was my 1st visit to the store. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the friendliness of the personnel and the vast selection of food and merchandise available. One of my other cats is diabetic and Richie helped me select food for her and gave me some samples to try. Michelle the groomer, could not have been nicer. I am totally impressed and cannot imagine why I would ever want to go elsewhere

Wonderful family owned business. Been going there for years. Prices are great from grooming to pet needs. I highly recommend. Customer service is top notch and very knowledgable.

Super nice and informative people. The groomer took extra time to explain the proper tool to use to groom a cat. The cashier took time to talk about the sample he was providing and gave some advise when I asked for it. Future customer for sure.

This place is awesome! I've been in there before to look at their food/toy/treat selection, but what sold me was their nail trimming. My dog is a super nervous dog, and she hates having her nails trimmed, in ADDITION to having a limb deformity of her front paws. This was her first time at a groomer trying to get her nails trimmed. I was nervous, she was nervous - we were stressed walking into the entire situation.

The woman who trimmed her nails got Kenna on the platform quickly and easily - this is a 65 lb Husky / Shepard who was wobbly and nervous, mind you. She very QUICKLY got her nails trimmed and with minimal distress. She also caught Kenna as she tried to jump off the platform prematurely. Overall it was a great experience and great price ($15) and we will most definitely be coming back for full grooming services.

Owners and grooming staff are great. I take my miniature husky and golden doodle there for grooming. They take their time to love on your dog and give them good treats unlike other place who give out the unhealthy treats. Richie and staff make you feel at home whenever you come in.

We absolutely love Michelle. She does such a great job grooming our two dogs. You can tell she genuinely loves working with animals, is kind, and overall a great person. Highly recommend her to anyone.

Love, love, LOVE this place. My dog hates getting her nails trimmed and it's a real struggle typically to get her to cooperate but the girls here are great, super fast and very friendly. They also have great products. You can't go wrong here. Highly recommend!

I was very excited about this place the first time I came here to get my pup's nails trimmed. They are reasonably priced and took me immediately when I came in. The groomer was great, she is one of the only groomers I've had that actually trimmed the nails short enough without being too short! However, since then I have had a hard time making an appointment to come back. I've called to make an appointment and have been told they are too "overwhelmed" or that I must make an appointment in advance.

I have no problem with making an advanced appointment, but when I called back again, I was told they only take advanced same-day appointments and was not able to make an appointment for another day. I also once made a same day appointment, came in, was not greeted and then was asked to leave after waiting around for 30 minutes because they didn't have time for me.

They said the groomer was "swamped". The groomer is awesome, but the customer service otherwise in this store is not up to par and I would much rather take my business elsewhere if this is how they treat their customers.

All American Pet is great! Richie, and all the other staff are very knowledgeable and friendly! The first time we came in, they took their time helping us find the perfect food for our dogs based on their specific needs. The location is small, so they don't have a lot of products aside from pet food and some pet toys, but the products they do have are the best quality, and if they don't have what we're looking for they're happy to direct us towards someone who does.

I ended up spending the night in Springfield and realized I hadn't brought any dog food with me for my puppy. I found this pet store and was amazed at all the different dog foods there. The gentleman there gave me seven or eight large free samples, which was much more than I needed for one night. The store was exceptionally clean and well stocked. I'll be in the area next week and I think I'll drop in again.

My dog hates getting her nails trimmed, she squirms and cries and I always feel I need to let a professional handle it. I moved to Springfield and thought I would give this place a try because it had decent reviews, but I will not be coming back. I got the impression that the groomer doesn't really care about the feelings of the pets, she was quite aggressive with my dog who was obviously scared, and she even clipped one of her nails too short and had to put the qwik stop powder on it.

Poor thing! I've never had this happen at any other groomer. Very careless. I just felt very on edge watching it all go down and I didn't get a good vibe from this lady--I don't even think she said one word to me, just took my dog and did the job. My dog is my baby and it makes me mad when pet care professionals don't treat her as such.

I ended up going back to my usual groomer in Eugene because they are always very welcoming, careful, and talk my pet through the nail trim process to try to keep her calm. Some time has passed since this occurrence and my usual groomer is getting overbooked and unfortunately they're having a hard time seeing me. I thought about giving this place another go, but when I looked up their number on google, i thought I'd check the reviews.

There are several frightening stories about them being too rough with pets and I immediately changed my mind about giving them a second chance. They need a serious change if they want my business.

Wonderful groomer! I recently adopted a long haired cat who was in desperate need of a good bath. When I got him back from All American, he looked like a whole new cat! His mood has definitely improved since the grooming and I am very grateful.

Going here feels like going home. Bobby and Ritchie treat you like family, and have always been exceptional for both my pet product and dog grooming needs.

I have been a customer here for over 7 years. As a disabled customer it is important for me to utilize businesses that are understanding to my limitations. I bring my 18lb cat And my 4 1/2lb chihuahua here often to be groomed. Both of my animals are treated with respect and quality care. I buy almost all of my animal supplies here too. I am so thankful to have a local business take excellent care of my fur babies. In fact, I recommend All American Pet to my friends and colleagues.
