A.L.L. Dog Training is an Elk Grove and Sacramento area based company. A.L.L. does things a little differently from most other dog training companies. We feel that dog training is about building better communication skills between you and your dog. We do not "treat train" or use harsh methods; everything is based on positive reinforcement and dog psychology.

Our clients learn how to work with their dog through leadership, loyalty and love. Your companion will want to work with you because the training is fun and natural for your dog, rather than treat rewarding, which can teach your dog to only respond when you have food.

We got pointers on walking our dog. She said it would take from a few days to a month, depending on our consistency, the dog's receptiveness, etc. It worked first walk, the next morning. Unbelievable. Thank you ALL Dog Training!

Personally & professionally, I don't like her training methods and can't recommend her. I wish the friends who went to her for dog training services had contacted me first. I don't like the results and techniques they spoke of. Look for Force Free Positive Reinforcement only. Balanced is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment to ethical methods.

In-home dog training that personalizes you'd sessions to your needs. Price is fair and the schedule is very flexible. I really enjoy the training method taught and the trainer is very personable and professional.

Laura is a fantastic dog trainer. I had previously treat trained my super compliant Shelties. Then, I got an alpha Aussie! We were able to accomplish some impressive things with her help! And, I'm using her again with a rescued herd dog. It's incredibly important for your dog trainer to observe YOU and your family in your home environment to help correct mistakes before you have a problem dog. Laura will train YOU to train your dog. Then, you graduate to group classes.

She is consistently placing in the top rankings like KCRA 3 A-List, etc. for a good reason. She's got years of experience and know how. Considering you might have a dog15 years, this training will make it an enjoyable relationship. She's worth your consideration!

Laura is wonderful, and very good at training us to train our puppy! When we first got our little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, we knew we wanted him to be a good companion with polite manners, so we gave Laura a call. The format of several classes in-home was great for us, because our little guy was still young enough that he didn't have all his shots, so we really didn't want to take him out to a group lesson just yet. Also, having that one-on-one time with Laura where she could coach us based upon our dog's specific personality quirks was fantastic.

We accomplished SO much in such a short time! Everywhere we go with our dog now, we receive compliments on his great manners and happy attitude about life. This is exactly what we hoped for in hiring Laura to help us train him! I know from attending several group lessons later on that our experience is not unique. Dogs of all breeds and sizes were at the group lessons with similar results to ours - all of the dogs had great manners and are able to socialize with other dogs and other people politely. In short, if you're adopting a dog, your first call should be to Laura. I don't think there's any dog or owner who couldn't benefit from her expertise!

Laura and Teryn are wonderful and helped us out so much. We adopted a dog from the SPCA that was afraid of the ceiling fan, and needed a lot of structure. The format of a few private lessons then group lessons works great. You know you can control your dog before taking them out to a group lesson. The payment options are very convenient as well.

We have had wonderful experiences with Laura and her staff. We called A.L.L. after we got our second dog, a Aussie mix who was very very high energy, didn't seem to have any attention span to speak of, and several bad habits. Our older dog (Border Collie mix) was well behaved, but had a tendency to bold when given the chance. More than anything, Laura taught how to effectively communicate with our dog - and she managed to do this without the use of harsh tactics or treats.

Her "snap" technique with the leash - when done properly; it is much more effective and much safer than using a traditional choke with a large dog. As another reviewer stated, she can recommend the right products and techniques that will be the most effective for your dog and their issues. Laura helped us with basic commands, socialization, emergency commands, and general good behavior.

Our two dogs did really well with both the group and private classes and with their "homework" - they also seemed to adore Laura. We moved up the hill so we haven't been able to go in a while, but I would definitely recommend the full private and group class series! It's not inexpensive, but well worth it.

We have a lab-mix that has super high energy, even now at 5 years old. Laura was fantastic as our trainer. She really tailors the training to your dog and their specific needs. She puts an emphasis on training the owner, and not just the dog, so when you get back home or you finish the classes the dog is still well-behaved. Our goal with our dog was to be able to take her with us anywhere - camping, downtown, friends houses, to the river, etc. and we're absolutely able to do so. Our friends and family are amazed at how well behaved she is, and we've definitely referred some of them to Laura.

Wow.that previous reviewer had the exact opposite experience than I did! We have a German Shepherd pup, our friends have her littermate, and another friend has an adult dog. We hired Laura to train all 3 dogs (or more accurately, train us!). I cannot begin to tell you how much we have learned and how awesome our dogs are doing! Laura is very laid back, friendly, and funny.

She is strict with the dogs, but in a loving way. The dogs love her. Our dog was pulling on the leash so hard she was choking herself, and Laura told us to STOP this right away, as she could damage her trachea. She recommends the right products for each dog, and teaches you the corect way to use them (all 3 dogs are unique, and she tailored lessons and product suggestions to each dog's issues).

Now out pup walks NEXT to us, and never pulls! Our over-active, hyper, busy-body puppy now gets compliments EVERYWHERE we go about how sweet and well-behaved she is, and how well she listens! She was driving us CRAZY prior to Laura, and now she's the best dog, and a perfect companion! I can't imagine all the headaches and problems we would still be dealing with without her. A+++!

Laura has been great helping us train our dog. She gave us great direction, explained the reasons for not training our dog with treats, told us when we were correcting our dog too hard, and gave us proper techniques so we would not harm our pup. The group classes she offers are wonderful because our dog learned how to listen to us with other dogs and distractions around. Now we don't worry about our dog jumping on people, pulling our arms off when we walk, or making a mad dash out the side yard when the gate is open.

DANGEROUS! PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE REVIEW! This training works by instilling fear in your animals by using harsh and painful corrections. I paid for the most expensive package (I think it was around $650 but I don't remember exactly), and I stopped going after I realized what it was doing to my dogs. (I have two labs; one was 80lbs during the training, and one was 45lbs).

The first meeting should have been my sign. I had a puppy who was 6 months old and jumped on people when they entered the house. Typical puppy behavior. The trainer (there is only one trainer) kneed him in the chest so hard he got the wind knocked out of him, and was heaving for a few minutes. He later threw up. Did he stop jumping on people? Yes! Immediately! Was there a better and safer method to teach him to stop? ABSOLUTELY.

My second concern revolves around the corrections the trainer has you do. To correct the dog, you have to yank the leash REALLLLLLY hard three times. I never did it hard enough according to her. She kept telling me to do it harder, even when I was using all my strength while my poor dog flinched. It hurt my dogs, literally. My puppy developed a cough and I took him to the vet.

The vet asked if there was anything that happened to him that could have caused damage to his trachea (it appears that he had a collapsed trachea and the coughing was helping to open it up temporarily). I told him about the training and yanking the leash and he told me to stop it immediately. I told him he had a flyer up in the other room for this trainer, and he said he had no clue that these were the methods she used - he removed the flyer immediately.

He suggested I check out www. AskDrYin.com, a website created by one of his vet school colleagues. My suggestion to you is to find an alternative training method for your pets. Training that works through fear and pain is not humane! If you are spending this much money to train your dogs then I assume they are more than just animals to you. Check out www. AskDrYin.com (I am in no way affiliated and I don't know Dr Yin!).

There are many videos on her website that show how she trains animals without force. There are so many more options out there for training without force, so please pass this one up and keep looking!
