It is with deep sadness and a good dose of frustration that we are announcing the closure of Allen Heights Veterinary Hospital. The economic and labor forces brought about by the pandemic and the 'great resignation' have pushed this business to its breaking point. We have tried to hire and we have worked with a broker to try to sell/merge practices, but nothing has panned out. When we are constantly under staffed we can't offer the appointments and surgery services that keep us a vital practice. That is why we are closing the hospital.
Services
In our ongoing effort to make your pet's health care as convenient and easy as possible, you can now request a refill for your pet's prescription by submitting the following form. Please be sure to fill in all the requested information. The prescription refill must be approved by a doctor. We will notify you via email or phone when your pet's prescription is approved and ready to be picked up. We will also inform you of the total cost of the prescription, and will request a credit card number by phone at that time.

The staff at Allen Heights are so compassionate. I had taken in a dog who had some problems and they were just wonderful and provide many options for care. When the time came to put him down during the covid-19 crisis, they were there. By our side, every painful step of the way. The staff there are amazing people. Highly recommend.
