Services
Dr. Towner and her team of doctors have 60+ years of experience providing compassionate and comprehensive care for your family pets. Dr. Towner is a Colorado native who received her Bachelors of Science from Colorado State University and graduated from the University of California, Davis with her DVM in 1991.
Flower was brought to us in 2001 by a client after she had been hit by a car. After an amputation and a long rehabilitation, she had found her forever home with us. Today she is retired from her front office duties and spends her time basking in the sun and being petted by our staff. Ling Ling was brought to us in 2015, as the runt of a litter from a female barn cat.
Erie Animal Hospital have provided our services to low income pets through 9Pet Check for over 5 years. We work closely with Rocky Mountain Cocker Spaniel Rescue, Westie Rescue Network, Rocky Mountain Greyhound Adoption and the Colorado Shiba Inu Rescue. We donated our services to the local community during the historic Colorado floods of 2013.
Our AAHA accredited, busy, multi doctor, small animal hospital is currently taking applications for the following positions. Our Veterinary Technicians are responsible for providing outstanding customer service for our clientele and patients, assisting the team with patient care, client services, maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital and preforming technician duties. We are currently considering both full and part-time candidates. Please send resumes and cover letters to erieanimalhospital@mail.com.

Update: the front desk person I have been working with to get flea and tick chewables for my dog has been very difficult and didn't listen to what I was needed nor give full information. They will not give a prescription for flea and tick chewables through Chewy even though it is cheaper for the same product and free shipping. They will only go through VetSource.

But of course, only that information was given to my husband when he called. I called and went in person and they never shared that information piece with me. 1/5 stars for this experience. For dog care I would consider another clinic if I were you. Very good experience here with our cat, Lorenzo. They do a good job of explaining everything and were great with the cat.

Glad I found them! 5/5 stars for cat care. Didn't have issues with front desk in the fall. But when my cat's rabies vaccine expired in April, I never got a reminder contact via email nor mail. Second guessing this decision.

These people are the nicest to both the people and the animals. I have been coming here for years and have gotten nothing but the best care for my animals and I recommend anyone that loves thier animals to come here.

I am one of those who is very picky when it comes to vet care for my animals. I started using Erie Animal Hospital around '07 or '08. Back then, Dr. Towner was able to properly diagnose and treat a chronic issue in one of my dogs who had been misdiagnosed or left undiagnosed by multiple previous vets, some of whom performed unnecessary and painful procedures.

He had a relatively uncommon condition. Beyond being an excellent diagnostician, Dr. Towner and her staff were always extremely caring towards him and my other animals who became her patients. She was always excellent with all of my animals and I deeply respected her opinion on medical issues. I recently moved back from the Western Slope and tried a vet closer to my new home.

They could not come close to Dr. Towner's expertise and left me feeling very uneasy about the quality of care they would provide my dear service dog. The rates may have been slightly lower, they were much closer to my new home, but I would rather drive a bit farther and have excellent care I can trust. Last week, I took my cat to Dr. Tower with a chronic issue.

No surprise, she was able to quickly diagnose the underlying cause. Although that required surgery, it should prevent future chronic, painful infections for him. During his hospital stay, I got consistent updates from staff who loved on him constantly while he was away from home. She also saw my Pyr last week, who has several issues including joint pain.

Being a typical farm Pyr, she doesn't immediately trust new people but was instantly at ease with Dr. Towner. Erie Animal Hospital has always provided me and my animals with excellent care, compassion, and stellar competence. I am grateful to have found such an amazing vet and always have and will continue to recommend them 100%.

From the doctor to the staff, everyone was very responsive and helpful when I arrived in a panic 15 minutes before closing time with my potentially injured puppy who was underfoot and got stepped on by accident. The staff got us right in, even though we had never been there previously, and seen by a vet-tech and then the doctor, Sally Towner, DVM.

Everyone was very helpful and calming as it was an exciting event for us. New puppy and she is crying and potentially hurt bad. Dr. Towner did a thorough exam and concluded that the puppy is most likely fine and there is no major injury (I was thinking broken leg as they are so little) and only charged a visit without emergency fees added on. Erie Animal Hospital is awesome!

They diagnose dispense medicine without telling you what the cost is until they have already done everything. They want to charge as much as they can and then comment oh we didn't charge you for this test. Gave me the antibiotics without telling me any instructions. Took my pet to the back and didn't communicate. The initial appointment was $56 the total was $177.00. Ridiculous, no communication and unprofessional. I would not recommend Erie Animal Hospital.

The erie animal hoslital team took such great care of my dog and myself through this whole process. I love that I can go in with my dog and they put me at ease too. They explained everything so well to me and what they quoted me was the price I paid which was very nice. I had previously gotten a consult somewhere else and their final price was 1k-2k over what they had quoted me. Their whole team is amazing and I am so happy to have them as my vets :)))) Thank you so much for taking such great care of my dog! They are absolutely amazing :))))

Love love love this place! Their staff made me feel like a competent and valued new dog Mom. They treated me, and my doggos, with respect and care. I am SO glad I am a dog mom at this practice. Grateful for the wonderful staff members that made me feel completely at ease.

Very disorganized, unreliable, and unprofessional. We moved to a new vet- I requested my pets records, did the paperwork sent them over to Erie Animal Hospital. The day of my appointment with the new vet they stated they didn't have the paperwork yet from Erie Animal Hospital. The new office, more organized and responsible, called over to see where it was. Erie Animal Hospital said they never received it.

Even after I had spoken to them, because the called me to find out why I was leaving their office, so I knew the received it. Since I had time I said I would drive over to them and get the records. After the vet appointment I drove over to obtain the records. When I got there the 3 receptionist told me that they just sent them over to the new vet!

I was a bit annoyed, I then explained to them exactly why we were leaving this vet. It was precisely these type of issues that keep occurring here. They front office staff always seemed disorganized, and rude. Not a great way to have your business be represented. I will say at first we were happy at this office- with the other vet that was there, but he then left.

We stuck it out to give it a try with the other vet, but found that we were not impressed. Felt like they were trying to find ways to charge us for every little expense. Wouldn't allow us to use a particular pharmacy to get our dog prescription. Had to use their online pharmacy, which we never were able to get it to work to deliver us our dogs medicine. So many great choices out there, I would check others out. I am sure they have their hearts in the right place, but sometimes you need more than heart to do a good job.
