First time visit the day before Memorial Day since my old pup decided to injure herself. Was turned away from several other emergency clinics that morning (I get it, it was -of course- a holiday weekend and the veterinary field is in crisis), but AMH not only got me in, they were able to slide me into an actual appointment slot while doing non-stop appointments with other clients the whole time I was there.

The building was clean and staff was lovely, quick and efficient. The prices were definitely not as bad as I was expecting. Would highly recommend to other pet owners for medical care!

My wife said everyone was nice and professional. But Pre-diagnosis - I don't know X-rays only - $800 Conclusion - I don't know, but you may need to return tomorrow for us to do the same thing again. That seems like a lot of money without any answers. Is this normal? Proceed with caution, unless money isn't an issue. UPDATE: In other notes, I have requested a copy of the X-rays in case of emergency and to share with my home vet.

I received them 48 hours later. They told me that they had not been able to access them since BEFORE my dog received his X-rays. I now have further concerns on how my $800 was spent. I received no answers to my dog's health except shoulder shrugs and my X-Rays may not have even been monitored. Is this why they were inconclusive? I feel taken advantage of I am fortunate that my dog's health didn't continue to decline.

Cannot say enough great things about this animal hospital! We brought our pup here for an emergency hospitalization after she failed to get better with treatment from our regular vet. They did a thorough workup and addressed all of our worries and concerns throughout the process. Dr. Mikes and Dr. Allers were both wonderful and made sure to call and update us. Our girl is feeling so much better after her overnight stay and we can't thank the staff enough for taking such good care of her!

My dog and I have been here twice now due to sickness when our regular vet couldn't fit us in. They've taken excellent care of us both times. The wait times get pretty long if you're there during/after close of regular hours, but that's understandable with a smaller staff. All of the staff we've met have been wonderful. We will absolutely continue to use them.

You cannot beat the prices here, which is impressive because there's no sacrificing quality of care or expertise. I have a lot of faith in Dr. Wojo after having him help us navigate severe illnesses with our pets over the years. He's obviously very interested in veterinary medicine and brilliant at it. He is very compassionate and personable, as well.

His colleague (the woman veterinarian whose name I always forget) isn't as friendly when you first meet, but she warms up as you get to know her and is also great. She too is very competent and warmhearted. Whoever your pet gets put in with for their appointment, you will be in great hands at this practice. Also, don't be put off if you deal with the receptionist who's a bit abrasive. She's good at her job and caring too.

I liked this practice for the first couple of years we used them, but it was only when things got tough and went beyond routine care that I discovered and could fully appreciate how good they really are. I obviously don't know, but I suspect that they could see fewer patients and just raise their rates up to what many other area veterinarians charge, but they keep their volume high and rates low so they can prevent and alleviate animal suffering in an area where many households have severely limited financial resources.

After going through so much with one of our dogs, I feel that Dr. Wojo is a brilliant person who could have probably a much cushier life elsewhere with richer clientele but has a higher purpose in being where he's at.

Our dog had a severe, dangerous intestinal block and may not have survived without the comprehensive, thoughtful intervention she received at AMH. The entire staff was compassionate and professional. We were kept well informed at every point in the long ordeal, with accurate cost estimates. The fact they were open and ready to do complicated procedures even on New Year's weekend is remarkable and the price was still very reasonable. Cannot thank or recommend them highly enough. Oh and also, dog owners reading this: please don't ever give your dog cooked ham bones. :

I can't say great enough things about Animal Medical Hospital on Monroe. In my pup's emergency situation, we were taken care of and kept updated. We had the decision of doing surgery and waiting, and Doctor Thomas explained everything thoroughly and let us make the best move. After surgery, we were never left in the dark. Everyone was over the top friendly and helpful. I know our pup was in great hands. I would highly recommend this location if you ever need an Emergency Vet.

Nothing but praise for Animal Medical Hospital. They take such loving care of Louie, our 10 year old West Highland Terrier. He loves coming for check ups, grooming and boarding and we simply adore Dr. Schoenig and the vet techs. The front desk staff are all wonderful and Lacey is especially kind and patient in assisting me. Louie also loves getting groomed by Amanda and we could not be happier with the level of service and professionalism from AMH. They make us feel like family!

Horrible experience. We took our 8 month old cat here after being referred by our regular vet, when we arrived we were told our cat was in poor health and was in need of overnight care for emergency surgery due to her colon being backed up. Even though two weeks prior our regular vet deemed her in good health. We did not have the large amount of money on the spot and was not given the option of a payment plan or referral to somewhere else that would be able to help us.

So they sent us home and said take her somewhere else in the morning, because of that our cat did not make it until the morning. Not only did she have a clear mark and dried blood from where they took her blood (which no place before has EVER had a problem taking her blood) but she had nonstop diarrhea up until the moment she decided enough was enough.

She passed away soon after leaving out of their care, not even a night passed. We're now attempting to figure out where they went wrong but we are 10000% sure this was not our kittens time to go. I am so disappointed and distraught about not only the situation but the way we were treated which I can only assume to be because we weren't financially fit. Never again.

We have used Animal Medical Hospital off and on over the last 3 years only because it is clear across town from where we live. However, our experiences with the vets there has always been excellent. Our beloved Schnauzer of 13 1/2 years was very ill and the vet we were using kept putting off an X-ray and finally we took him to Animal Medical Hospital.

The Vet immediately ordered an X-ray and found a large mass in his stomach- cancer. We had to make the hard decision that we didn't want him to suffer. The vet was so kind and loving to us and our dog. I really appreciated her concern. We did adopt another dog and just took her there for a full exam. Once again the vet was very thorough. We have switched to Animal Medical Hospital for future vet care for our dog.

Brought our Maltipoo, Lexi in when she was having trouble breathing. The team at Animal Medical brought us in right away, assessed Lexi situation and made a treatment plan. They cared for her around the clock for 48 hours. Kept in constant contact and kept us posted regarding her progress. The Drs and staff were so professional and caring. I would absolutely recommend this vet for anyone. Thank you for saving our Lexi. She is like a new dog!

This is the worst so called animal hospital in Charlotte. They don't care about animals they care about money and there friends pets. I brought my dog in for an emergency visit on 7/13/21 and was told we were next to be seen. Well that didn't happen. a friend of there's walks in with a bulldog and doesn't have an appointment cause they said they didn't loud and clear and they took the bulldog back to be seen before my animal.

I immediately called another animal hospital and demanded animal medical send my dogs record to Longs Animal Hospital on South Blvd. If you are looking for caring and compassionate veterinarians and vet techs animal medical hospital is not the place to go. if you truly care about the health and wellbeing of your animal take my advice and avoid this place like you would avoid COVID!

I used to take my dog to All Animals Vet in Dickson until they got a little too pricey for me. I recently swapped my dog to Cornerstone Animal Hospital in Dickson. Friday night, I go upstairs and noticed my dog has thrown up twice on the carpet. I clean it up and let him downstairs while the carpet dries. I notice he was acting weird. Then, he goes to the back door and throws up again all over the floor (about a gallon worth) and I notice a part of his rope toy was in the throw up. Apparently, he had swallowed a part of that toy.

The part he threw up was about the size of my fist. I thought things were going to be okay. I let him sleep in my bed Friday night instead of in his bed so I could closely monitor things. I woke up to him lying on his back with all four paws in the air and he never sleeps like that. I thought something was wrong, it took me two or three minutes to wake him up.

His stomach was making loud gurgling noises very often. I thought he might have just been hungry. Saturday morning, I go about my day as usual. My dog oddly doesn't eat anything. He was still acting a little strange. As the day went on, the noises in his stomach got so much louder and much more often. I could hear his stomach over my TV. That's when I had this strange feeling that something wasn't right. I've never been to Dr Wojo but it was a Saturday - most vets are Monday through Friday only.

I knew the Dickson Humane Society used Dr Wojo so I called him up. He met me at his office in 30 minutes, did an ultrasound of my dog, saw an obstruction. Kept him overnight and did an x-ray the next day. X-ray did not show the obstruction. He kept his water and food down and they gave him anti-nausea medicine and antibiotics in case of infection.

He was only away from me for a little over 24 hours, and this visit was much, much cheaper than I expected it to be. $425 and my precious 2 year old pit bull seems to be doing better. Still not completely out of the woods so I do still have to monitor him and make sure he isn't dry heaving, vomiting, in pain, or straining to go to the bathroom.

If i have to take him back, i will definitely use Dr Wojo. He took care of my dog in an emergency and I am forever grateful. I didn't know if my dog would make it through this or not. Dr Wojo was so kind, as was Mimi (spelling?) - his sister. I highly recommend!

Our chocolate lab was diagnosed with heartworms at ValueVet in Bellevue. Their fee for treating him was $1502.00. We took him to Dr. Wojo and he charged us $610.00 for the same treatment. He and his staff are so caring and seem genuine to me. I called Dr. Wojo about 9:30pm the first night we had our lab home after his treatment because he was vomiting. Dr Wojo told me what to do and was so kind.

He told me to call him back again if I needed to. They have specials each month on spaying, neutering, HW testing, etc. In my opinion they are fabulous! I will be bringing all six of my animals to him now!

After working with and using the services of a larger, city based vet, it was hard to get used to the laid back, small country vets out here. But Dr. Wojo is a good, level headed, sincere veterinarian. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. If, like me, you're used to having someone answer your call right away, or return it right away. You might be disappointed. But, other than that, I'm content to stick with this vet.
