The canine hydrotherapy session can really benefit your dog. The session is held in our soothing, heated swim spa, where we combine warm water massage with swimming. Each session is tailored to your dog's needs. Hydrotherapy is great for so many issues because the water gets the weight off your dog's joints and lets them move freely in the water. And we have fun!

If your dog loves to swim, doesn't like the water, or has never been in the water, we can work with your dog to make the session an enjoyable experience for both you and your dog.
Services
NOTE: Update 04/01/22 New clients: Please email Aquadog Spa for information on scheduling your first appointment. There is currently very limited availability for new clients. Note: online scheduling is not available for appointments within 24 hours of the current time. If you would like to check appointment availability for the current day or the next day, please call or email, and I will let you know if appointments are available. A licensed and certified massage therapy practitioner will work with your dog in the warm water to combine the benefits of massage and swimming.
Thank you so much for helping Tiz. We are already seeing the
benefits of the massage and swimming. On the way home he slept like a baby. I was watching him while
he slept and his breathing was finally normal and relaxed. It
has not been that way for 2 weeks. When we got home, he was a little wobbly when he got out of the
car, but walked much better. He had a late lunch, pills and
water and then we walked down the road to my neighbors. He has
not walked to my neighbors since last week.
We are located outside of Kent, WA in South King County with easy access from either Highway 18 or Highway 167. Don't forget to look for the dog bone house number sign with the Aquadog logo at the end of our driveway!
I have towels, harnesses, collars and leashes available for use during the session, so you won't need to bring anything special with you. During cooler weather, please bring towels or blankets with you for the ride home to ensure that your dog doesn't get chilled. This is especially important for older dogs.

Cindy is a wonderful therapist for my 12yo black Labrador retriever who has hip dysplasia and arthritis. Cindy is professional and very gentle with my lab and guides him into the hydrotherapy session. I chose the 30 mins hydrotherapy and massage sessions. This therapy helps my lab to be able to walk longer and not afraid of jumping. In addition, the website is very clear and easy to book appointments online. Overall, I strongly recommend Aqua Dog Spa!

Cindy takes great care of our Welsh Terrier getting therapy after leg surgery. She takes the time to understand the problem and develops a plan that definitely works. On the plus side, my dog LOVES it. Like, best thing in the entire world.

Cindy was excellent with Rhaegar, my Shepherd mix! He was a little fearful at first, but she was very patient with him and he ended up enjoying his first therapy session immensely! We give 5 Paws!

Cindy completely makes time for my dogs needs totally in tune with her injury also helped me diagnose an issue the vet couldn't even figure out. I'm. MOSTLY really thrilled w/the difference/ progress Em has made re: her pain level, her muscle tissue rebuilding, the absolutely amazing way she can now use all 4 legs again, instead of her back leg just hanging there. Literally.a few in off floor, or maybe occ touch ground for balance but NOW ITS IN FULL USE AGAIN!

No not full capacity, probably never will see that again. Its been 6 sessions now so def will keep going w/ Cindy at Aquadog Spa Therapy in Kent. But a Bloodhound still here at 10 yrs. I'm just Blessed.

I don't often review, but Cindy deserves it! We initially took our Aussie boy Jasper to Cindy over six months ago, after we began to have suspicions that he had hip dysplasia and were looking for low-impact exercise options for him. She was very nice and Jasper seemed to have a good time, so we decided to bring him back. At the next visit she remembered Jasper's name and our concerns, asking us how he has been moving around on his hip. Now, months later, we have been bringing Jasper to Cindy regularly and he always has a great time swimming with her.

She is always friendly and open to discussing any new concerns we have had with Jasper's movement. I also think he greatly appreciates the intermittent massages he gets during his swim session, and I know he benefits from the warm-water and low impact exercising of his joints. Cindy is great and I would highly recommend bringing your furry friend to her business.

I just finished the first session with Cindy for my 14-year-old Shiba Inu and could not be any happier with how it all went. If you know Shibas, you'd know that they typically are not fans of water, unless they're thirsty and its in a bowl for them to drink. Well, my boy is no exception to that rule. Despite it having been his first time in the pool and never having met Cindy before, (both of which are factors that made me worry that he'd be a headache to deal with) my boy seemed as much at ease as I could ever hope in such a situation.

He did verbalize some disapproval at me not saving him from the water, his arch nemesis, here and there. By the end of it, he was considerably calmer than he had been to begin with and was swimming like a champ. I'm looking at coming back soon and often and with my other old Shiba boy too! Thanks, Cindy! Your patience and gentle touch helped my boy heal and strengthen his body in a new way!

I took my 15 year old dog to the vet recently, who said her back legs are starting to atrophy a bit, but otherwise she's in good shape. Aside from watching her more, the vet suggested I have her swim. Since she is a water dog, I thought I would look up Dog Swim companies. Aqua dog was the closest to where I live, and had good pricing. She just came back from her first swim, which included massage.

She was a bit nervous at first, but quickly got used to Cindy's gentle touch. I think it did her a lot of good, and I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful service, and being so kind and gentle with my little old lady

We have been taking our FrenchBull dog here for almost a year and a half. Cindy is amazing. Our Frenchie had complete paralysis in her back half do to IVDD. We did a few other treatments (acupuncture, cold laser therapy and physical therapy at home), but found the swim Therapy has been the most beneficial. Our dog thinks Cindy is the cats meow, we love her and would recommend her to anyone who's dog could benefit from aqua therapy. She truly cares for the animals. Her prices are really the best around.

I've been coming to see Gretchen for awhile now. Fantastic service. She's amazing with my dog and knows her stuff and is always learning more and continuing her education on what she does. She's very professional and passionate. The facility itself is very cozy and always clean. I've been very happy with it and my dog always gets so excited when we turn down the road so she loves it too!

Cindy is so good with my dog Milton, he is 14 years olda border collie/ astralian cattle dog mix. Before going to aqua dogs, his arthritis was so bad he had trouble walking very much. Now after two visits his gait is even and looks less stiff. I feel this has added time with him. By all means if you are considering doing this, DO IT! It is worth every penny.

Cindy, at Aqua Dog, really helped our 8 lb dachshund recover from her neck injury. After seeing several specialists we decided to try a more holistic approach to see if Vienna could be helped before resorting to surgery or a lifetime of prednisone etc. Cindy helped her on the first day. Although Vienna was pretty nervous at first, she trusted Cindy immediately and let her massage her painful neck and then take her into the pool for some warm exercise and deeper massage.

Each week Vienna improved. She has become quite the swimmer. She is still a bit stiff in the morning for several hours, but by 10: she is back to getting in trouble and ready for her walk. I cannot recommend Aqua Dog highly enough.

After our beagle had back surgery, we looked into various places to swim her to aid in her recovery. Other places in the area charge you for a 30 minute swim, but only actually swim the dogs for 20 minutes. Cindy swims your dog for an entire 30 minutes, and massages the dogs during their session in the water. Our beagle didn't really care for swimming until she started swimming in Cindy's warm pool, now she loves it. Cindy is really great with our beagle, kind and gentle, and genuinely cares about her.

Our beagle has been fragile since she was about 3 years old, and we've seen our fair share of mediocre veterinarians or dog services over the years. Cindy is one of the few people I trust to even lift or work with our dog. I definitely recommend taking your dog to Aqua Dog.

Aqua dog is a place of healing. The warm water spa and Cindy's massage therapy are hard to find. I first brought my old dog, Gracie to Cindy many years ago for her arthritis. Cindy taught her to swim with a kind and gentle touch, I believe that Gracie's quality of life was greatly improved by the swimming. I know others that use her service and feel the same.
