I used to work for Arboroads Farm around 25 years ago. Mary is top rate and runs a very tight ship. Dog dishes are washed twice a day, the whole kennel gets bleached down and washed multiple times a week. She's never had kennel cough. Dogs are let out multiple times a day and the runs are cleaned after each use. She loves animals. She is gentle with the dogs when grooming them and always does a professional job.

Most of Mary's customers are repeaters and all dogs look forward to coming back. She only feeds high quality food. When I had worked with her, she had already been in business for years. In order to last this long, you've got to do great work in order to succeed.

Mary is fantastic with our high drive German Shepherd and handicapped Maltese. They care for the dogs very well. They don't socialize them with other dogs outside of their own family members to keep everyone safe. Amenities for the dogs are Spartan but our pups always seem happy when we get them back. Best rates and service we have found in the Ann arbor area.

Really good with grooming too. They do not accept credit cards so remember cash or a check book. The one time I forgot they gave me a business card with the amount and told me to mail a check in. We really like this place and trust them with our girls.

These folks know there doggie boarders! And treat them well during their stays. A great reasonably priced resource where the pets all have individualized attention. As well, their activities and grooming are top notch.

I arrived 20 minutes early to drop my dog off before the place opened and the lady was quite rude about it. I had already driven up from Toledo from work and had to drive all the way to escanaba in the U.P. right after that so I figured she could've maybe been more polite when all she had to do was fill out 6 lines on a piece of paper, put the dog in a cage, and take my money.

Not a difficult task if you ask me, I could imagine many worse jobs. I've met 5 year old who run lemonade stands that have a better sense of customer appreciation. After a 4 day stint I picked up my dog. That place smells terrible, I mean really, really bad, like urine. I didn't even see an area that they let the dogs play except some bigger cages right outside, so I question if my dog even got to go out.

My dog was covered in deodorant, but wore off quickly and he smelled like stale old cigarettes and urine. He basically smelled like he had been a bar downtown detroit and passed out on the floor for the night. Then when I brought my dog home he seemed like he wanted something, I let him use the bathroom and that was fine, then I fed him and he mounded it down.

He ate 6 cups of food on the spot. He normally eats 2 cups a day. I don't even know how many times I refilled his water dish either. So I question how much and frequently they fed him as well. I picked this place because I just moved to the area and it was close. Next time I will be making the 45 minute drive to Pet Ritz again in Brighton. That place is incredible.

If I had to compare the two it's would be like a 5 star hotel and a hotel were cockroaches run rampant. I don't know if I am spoiled from previously taking my dog to pet ritz, but it is well worth the drive and the extra $5/day. This place is called arboroads farm because it is basically a farm with a kennel attached ran by a couple of old hippies.

If you don't believe my review or think that I'm jaded I welcome you to take this place for a trial run yourself. I have nothing against these people, and I am not some yuppy living in ann arbor. I love my dog and I want him taken care of while I am away is all, if you can't offer that service when I pay for it, then I will complain.
