Services
Lifelong pet lovers, Jo & Scott, em'barked' on their own pet care business journey in 2008. Jo's hands on experience dealing with most farm animals & house pets, along with Scott's dog training/handling skills have proven to be a great pairing. Their household includes 4 dogs (hound/lab mix, Ridgeback mix, Lhasa Apso, & a Boston Terrier) and 2 cats.
We use top-of-the-line hypo-allergenic grooming products and oatmeal shampoo to cater to dogs of all skin types. As professionals in the grooming industry, we know that many dogs dislike visiting a grooming facility. Over the years, we have discovered that grooming your pet in familiar surroundings offers superior results.
Anal sacs (also called "anal glands") are two small glands just inside your pets anus. The material secreted into these glands is thick and foul smelling. Most animals can empty these glands voluntarily for scent marking or in self defense (like a skunk might do). Domestic animals have largely lost their ability to empty these sacs voluntarily.
Need a pet sitter you can trust? We are the solution! Our mission is to treat your beloved pets as if they were our own. Our pet care services boasts a skilled and talented team that puts your animal's best interests first. We know you can't always be there to shower love and affection on your cats, dogs and other pets, as work and vacations get in the way of that.

A1 Pet Grooming is the only place in the tri-state area (or beyond) that have mastered Japanese scissor styling technique and perfrom it most seriously and flawlessly. To have house call stylist that perform unrestrained dog grooming to standards that are above and beyond every groomer around is not a simple statement. The proof is in my photos. Understand they don't do every animal and there may be additional requirements. Yes, they are that good and only the most discerning of pet owners who really care about absolute perfection in dog grooming should apply. Otherwise you would be wasting both of your time. These people are the unicorns of dog grooming.

Very poorly run service. Cut was very choppy! I had to send her back out to her van to complete the grooming, it was so bad! Would NOT recommend. My appointment was pushed back and then cancelled, late in the day, as the groomer was WAY behind schedule. Appointment made for the following day, Sunday, per groomer's recommendation. She was then 2 hours late.

My phone call WOKE HER UP.she explained she normally doesn't work on Sunday as if it was my fault! If she had come on my scheduled appointment time, Saturday, and not recommended the Sunday appointment she wouldn't have been working on that Sunday! SMH To top this off, her van generator was down so she had to park her large van in front of my condo garage to use my electricity and water. Her parking there angered my neighbor. It was NOT a good experience and would never use again!

Would give a zero if I could. After our appointment was set, John called 4 times to verify the details and I had to correct him each time. He showed up 2 hours late and didn't even spend 2 minutes letting our dogs get comfortable with him. We decided to try mobile grooming since one of our rescue dogs is very nervous around strangers and is very fearful going anywhere in a car.

I explained to John that this girl is very skittish and shy. He brought the 2 dogs back in the house smelling of swamp water. He kept repeating that our dog is not at all skittish. Both dogs were trying to get away from John when I noticed blood all over the floor. He had clipped our shy girl's nails so short they were bleeding. He blamed me for letting her nails get too long that they were growing in to her pads. (The nails had been ground down 5 weeks previously).

Then he blamed the dog because she moved when he was clipping. I promptly invited him to leave our home as quickly as he could. So so angry that our pups were traumatized by this ignorant brute.

I would not recomend this guy to any one who loves their pets. He destroyed our beautiful maltipoo boy. I could of had a 5 year old with clippers do a better job than what was done to him. My dog has been shaking and now has an image complex thanks to "Edward Scissor Hands".

I do NOT recommend. My family's dog had a cut on his belly, on his paw, and a chunk cut out of his ear when John was done. The haircut was very choppy. John offered to come back the next day and fix it, but we opted to take our dog somewhere else to get the haircut fixed.

Worst experience ever! Two 10 y/o dogs (25lb cocker, 80 lab/beagle mutt), both with recent health issues, so thought mobile would be a little easier on them.au contrare! Found my big dog (who has weakness in back legs) stuck/fallen in the foot well of his van when I opened the door, my little dog was extremely stressed out (and these dogs have been groomed all their lives so very used to it), it was a total nightmare.

I ended up staying in the van through 80% of it to help/monitor him, literally taking the sheers from him at one point and doing it myself. I did all the lifting (and calming) of my big dog and essentially ended up paying him simply to stop (which he charged full boat of $85/ea even though I did half the work). I took my big guy away from him wet/soapy and walked him into my own shower to finish cleaning myself; he now looks like a razor back. Told John 5 times not to cut my cocker's eye lashes, only to find one of them hacked when I entered the van. Nice enough guy, but physically and mentally incapable of doing this job; he needs to retire.

Not recommended. Our dog was cut with big choppy marks. Hair was long and short all over. Face was trimmed on right side and not on left side. He looked like a sheep when done. Was 45 minutes late and charged way too much. I had to re-trim the dog again as he looked ridiculous.

My cat loved the groomer. They were professional, reasonably priced, timely and treated my cat with love.

Pros: John was available short notice Cons: John called my dogs private parts his "thingey" over and over again He arrived a day late - and didnt bother calling to tell me - I had to call after waiting for him for 2 hours My dog looks chopped up. there are variations in razor length all over him so you can actually see the clipper marks, His feet were not trimmed and he looks awful with missing hair in some places and long hair in some places. The whole grooming process took like 2 hours. and my dog was returned wet. I will never use this groomer again.

Recently made a road trip to AZ and needed to clean up my Wheaten (who loves to roll in dirt). Found John thru a friend and was happy with the job. Wheaten's are hard to groom and John did a great job. Took a bit longer than I would have hoped but price was fair. And he was able to fit us into his schedule, which was really important to us.

John is such a terrific groomer! He clearly loves dogs and had such a gentle and caring way with my labradoodle. He gave him the perfect teddy bear face and his overall body length was just what I wanted. Will definitely be calling him again.

The worse. He clipped half my dog. I had to tell him he forgot the other half. When people saw my dog they started to laugh the job was so bad.

John Ghiz with Arizona Mobile Pet grooming did a horrible job on my two dogs. He was rather wheezy and tired looking and had my golden and corgi in the van for over two hours and when I called out to him he opened the door and the dogs were only half done. He missed some nails on both dogs, did not clean out their ears, brush them or trim them. He just washed them. Worst and most expensive grooming EVER.
