What started out to be just a new groomer has grown to not only a friendship, but also an investment in our dog, Riley. When Jeff and Lesha first opened the Royal K-9 Salon, we were there for the open house. Jeff worked quite a while with Riley while we were there. It had been a very long time since John and I had a dog, and we had just adopted Riley, who is now 4 years old. After a few grooms and informative conversations, we decided to ask Jeff and Lesha if they would take Riley for a week for training. Riley’s issues were bossiness, not heeling on the walk, and escalation/fixation. Also, Riley had never been socialized with other dogs.

When we picked up Riley the following weekend, he was like a brand new dog. He stays now. He’s awesome on the walk. Still tries to take control here and there, but nothing like before. We even purchased a treadmill at the recommendation of Jeff & Lesha to aid in relieving some of Riley’s pent up energy along with his daily walks. He is now a much happier dog.

We think the world of Jeff and Lesha, and would recommend their services – be it grooming, training, or day care – to any pet owner. They are extremely knowledgeable and very talented when it comes to dog psychology and behavior modification. And they are very affordable. Make the investment in your dog and you’ll be a much happier pet owner with a much more calm and relaxed pet.

We have an 80 lb Airedale named Friday. She is fun, playful and soooo full of energy . Because she is so dang cute and we love her to death we let her get way out of control, to the point we were questioning if we could keep her. We sent her over spend a week with Jeff and Lesha really thinking that we would probably be picking up a dog that hadn’t changed much. We couldn’t have imagined the difference we found in her when we picked her up. She was so relaxed and obedient it was amazing!

After we brought her home we just kept saying to ourselves “Who’s dog is this?” We are so grateful for what Jeff and Lesha have done with Friday, because she is a pleasure to live with now. We can keep our Friday and enjoy her without the frustration of an out of control dog. Jeff and Lesha also showed us the things we needed to do to keep Friday going the right direction and sent us home with a video of them training her so we could see the things that we needed to continue working on. We highly recommend Balanced Dog Training!

Jeff and Lesha at Balanced Dog Training did an amazing job training Polar Bear for service. He has been doing great since the night I picked him up from them. He listens so well to me and loves learning new things. Since the night we picked him up he has listened to every command I gave him. He also adjusted so well to living in a new home. Everywhere we have gone together he has been well behaved and focused on me.

We have even gone on the Light Rail together and he sat by my legs the whole time and didn’t even flinch when someone dropped a bag in front of him. I highly recommend Jeff and Lesha for dog training, I have the most awesome dog in the world because of them.
