Baseline Animal Clinic

Great veterinarian clinic. I've had to put 3 cats down there over many many years. They are so friendly and caring, and calming. If you need help. This is the place to come. They legit care about your animals and their wellbeing. And as someone struggling financially. They are the most affordable place around.

I took my 9 year old lab in a few months ago for sudden lameness. The doctor told me "he's fat and at the end of his life" and that my dog probably just had arthritis. He wouldn't listen to me when I told him this dog had been running and playing a week prior and suddenly was not able to get up on his own. I took my dog to another vet and it turns out he had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.

After treatment my dog returned to normal. I delayed treatment for my dog, listening to the doctor just telling me he was old, and my poor boy suffered with this terrible disease. I found the whole experience here lacking of compassion and communication. The doctor bulldozed over me trying to explain my dog's behavior prior to his illness and barely examined my dog before giving his opinion. I would not recommend taking your pets here, unfortunately.

I had an emergency and had to bring my boss his dog into his place they do not take emergencies usually bit they made and exception and got the dog in right away. The dog was attacked by 3 other dogs who live with it, she had to get staples on one leg. The staff there are awesome!

Gave me bad advice for $300 bucks! I don't trust them now. Took to another vet, and found out "the tests" were fine- not what I was told at Baseline.

We love Dr. Josh Finch and the staff! He has been taking care of our two dogs their entire lives. His teeth cleaning prices are the most affordable I have found in the East Valley. His recommendations are always based on experience, research, patient history, and what is best for the animal (and not for the upsell). I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a reliable, personable vet!

They were so kind and patient with my dogo. He's a 4 month old husky mix and they were so patient even when he was trying to bite the poor tech's hair. He has a lot to learn.

We met Dr. Finch and he is the most caring Vet we have ever encountered. He was on the floor with my dog getting kisses during the exam. He is very experienced, knowledgeable and he answered all of our questions. We did not feel rushed and we did not have to wait long for the appointment. His pricing is reasonable and his love for animals is evident. I am so happy we found him. The staff is also very kind and efficient. 5 Stars for this entire office

I have been coming here for 10+ years with my pups. Everyone is always as nice as they can be! Dr. Finch and Dr. Oberman (I think that's his name) are wonderful and extremely caring! I'd give 10 stars if I could!

I have used Baseline Animal clinic for 24 years and multiple pets. They are amazing.

Dr Finch is an incredible person. He is not in business to make money as it feels so many other vets are. He truly cares and wants to do what is best for you and your pet. Unfortunately sometimes that means no treatment at all but it means the best quality of life yourself and your pet. He's not a salesman, he's an truly honest medical professional.

Update: Dr. Finch is still my all time favorite Vet. Recently our min pin was having some issues, and Dr. Finch quickly got our dog diagnosed and on medication. He gave us several options, and effectively communicated with us what each option looked like. It's been about a month since we got Hank on the meds prescribed and he has been doing a million times better.

We couldn't be more thankful to have BAC in our lives. These people are the only ones I trust with my pets. We were referred to Dr. Finch 4/5 years back when our older dog was beginning to have eye problems. Dr. Finch helped us make the decision to have his eyes removed and after a flawless procedure (and healing time) our 11 year old dog was acting like a puppy again.

We never went anywhere else afterwards. Recently, my boyfriend and I rescued a puppy from the streets and we discovered the poor thing had no owners, was infested with ticks, and sick. Dr. Finch made time out of his busy schedule to get us an emergency visit to help our new pup every time I called in crying about how our puppy was getting worse. He's understanding, caring, professional, and very knowledgeable. The type of person you can tell really cares about the animals he's helping and not just in it for the money. 100% recommend him.

I took my BFF/Dog to BAC in March of 2020. The exam and notes were minimal at best, the actual vet was present for less than five minutes. I left with several unanswered questions. We had to return for a second visit to get his vaccinations and were 'assisted' by a small, spastic man. His approach to my dog was fast and nervous, which of course made my dog nervous.

He quickly shoved a muzzle on my dog's face and refused to allow me to stay with him during the visit. A few minutes later the man stuck his head out front and yelled for me to come help with my dog, who was frantic by then. The guy shoved a syringe containing one of the vaccines in my dog's nostril so hard and fast that it sprayed all over me. That man traumatized my sweet dog with his fear and impatience. I hope he's found another job since then that doesn't involve anyone vulnerable.

I've taken my dogs here for years. They have a great and caring staff. I trust them to put my pets best interest first with fair pricing for their care.

This is a great group of people. Dr. Finch is an amazing vet. I am so fortunate to have found him. I know my pets are in good hands.

Have gone to Baseline for years on all pets. Dr Finch, Teresa and all techs have been friendly, knowledgeble and supportive on difficult decisions. I trust them and recommend them highly.

Made an appointment for a wellness check for my cat on Oct 28. The cost is $100.00 for the exam and they require a $50 deposit. My job reduced our hours for the rest of the quarter. I called today to cancel. An entire week ahead of time. I can't afford $100 vet visit right now, with work reduced. I was told they will Not refund my deposit and it stays on file for whenever I can bring my pet it. I would NEVER take any of my pets after this! So I'm paying $50 for a service we never get. BS! I didn't cancel last minute. An entire week ahead.

Knowledgable, kind, caring, well organized, and reasonably priced. Never pushy about recommended procedures. Dr. Finch and all of the staff are top-notch. A rapid and accurate diagnosis of our kitten's FIP saved his life. As long as we're in Phoenix, we'll never take our dogs and cats anywhere else.

I would highly recommend this office. My dog had an infection from him being neutered (at a different office- He was a rescue) which we did not know at the time. We took him to the ER the second day we had him and they said it was a possible broken bone, They said we could follow up with our PCVET, which we had an appointment on Monday with this place, but they were able to get me in sooner since they had a cancellation.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Even the vet tech was super sweet. Dr. Finch hands down was great! I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone who wants someone who will care about your dog and the wellness as much as they do, He was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to explaining what we needed to do for his infection! He was able to get my little pup on some antibiotics and a check up in a week.

Very disappointed with the service I received today. I brought my puppy in on short notice and was already very concerned and scared for his health. The veterinarian who examined my dog was disrespectful and did not treat the situation with the class I would expect from a registered vet. He made jokes on several occasions hinting that my puppy would probably die.

He was extremely vague and indirect in his diagnosis and prognosis. He sent me home with a couple things of medicine and unclear instructions on what I should do with my puppy, or what to expect going forward. My puppy passed away later at a different clinic. I was told by them that this puppy should have never been sent home by Baseline. I regret not slapping that vet right

The Arizona Veterinary Board contacted this clinic on my behalf because they refuse to give me my dog's x rays, they have been paid in full, my dog is limping and I need the x rays. They took the wrong x rays, after my doctor explained to them twice what was needed. We had to drive back, a 2 hour trip, for them to redo the x rays. Even after being contacted by the Veterinary Board, they still haven't given me the x rays.

They have 10 days to release my x rays. Their equipment doesn't work, my dog was weighed in 2 times the wrong weight. I don't know how these people are in business.

Worst place ever! Used to be good some years ago but now it's awful! The dude Vet try's to up sale everything and doesn't seem to like animals? Don't waste your money!

Old school vet located off College and Baseline in Tempe. Front staff is helpful, vet is amazing. We took our basset in who had an issue with her back. The vet was open and honest with options to help and we never felt like they oversold their care. Our pet underwent surgery and came out healthy and happy. We are so glad we brought Penny to Baseline Animal.

The facility is modest, the staff cares about your pets, and the doctors are up front with their treatment. We felt the prices were affordable and not extravagant. We will be back with other pets!

Excellent place to take your animal too. Unfortunately this visit I had to put my dog down due to age and other issues with pain. The staff was very compassionate and understanding. I received a card in the mail as well and it just shows how much they care about what they do. Thank you again.

We were very impressed. Our little puppy was throwing up on Monday and we feared the worst. I called our regular vet and they couldn't get us in until Wednesday. They just told us to go to the emergency vet. I waited an hour or so and then the vomiting stopped. I asked a friend where she takes her dogs and she highly recommended Baseline Animal Clinic.

I called them and they got us an appointment the next day. While we were there we were able to get her shots and for the visit and shots they were 1/3 of the price at the other vet. We were very happy with the care we received at Baseline. I highly recommend them.

I had picked up my dog from the kennel and she had a cut eye and was throwing up non stop. All the emergency rooms said I would pay hundreds of dollars just to take her in so I called baseline and they said they would see her right away! I brought her in and they were so sweet and gentle with her. They diagnosed her right away and she was treated and cured within a week. They were so caring and also didn't break the bank. I would fully recommend this clinic!

My family has been going here for as long as I can remember and it was fantastic at first. Than prices started to go up, and they started selling stuff of their website. Now every time I go in there I am talking to the for a hour about how I can buy the same products I pay for in store through them and it will be better. I would rather spend my money getting the same exact items but for cheaper and not be lectured about it when I visit the vet for a nail Clipping or whatever I take my animals in for.

Dr. Finch is great! He takes so great care of my two lab puppies. He is a lab owner himself and has such a soft spot for them! The other vet there has seen us before, not as helpful! He said a bunch of words I didn't understand "just tell me what I need to know for my dogs!" Request Dr Finch and if he is not available wait a few days, it's worth the wait for him.

I love Dr finch and the staff at baseline animal clinic! They really take care of us! Friends furever!

I have been coming to this vet since I moved to Arizona from Kentucky. They have always been so friendly and welcoming. Let's just be serious, when it has to do with anything about your furry family (especially health) we are very cautious. It's convenient and has plenty of parking out in Tempe. I moved to Scottsdale and still drive a few minutes out to make sure I still come here.

The doctors and tech's are always really friendly and sweet with the animals, as to be expected. :) Overall, this place is very clean and well kept - I love it here and so do my pets! :)
