Many of these pets have a normal physical examination and their abnormalities would go undetected without a Wellness Health Screen. The process of disease development can be slow and insidious. When an organ system starts to fail, the organ will try to compensate to bring function back to normal. Over time, this compensation mechanism will fail and the pet will become very ill.
Belleville Animal Clinic carries a variety of products for your pets. Listed below are some of the products we carry for Heartworm and Flea prevention. Please call or email the clinic for more information on these and other products we carry.
It is important to get your dog a heartworm blood test at least once a year. In accordance with FDA recommendations, our doctors highly recommend yearly blood tests even if your pet is on the preventative medicine year round. If the preventative was missed for one or two months, it is possible that your dog became infected with heartworms, therefore the blood test is imperative. Ask your veterinarian for more information. A mate does not need to be present for a pet bird or reptile to ovulate and produce an egg.
As a new client of Belleville Animal Clinic, you can expect our full attention to your pet's needs. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we will usher you into an examination room as soon as we have one available. Our goal is to see all of our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays.

I called this place ahead of time to find out how much it would be for a physical for my dog who was very ill. She told me $55 when I was done with the vet they told me it was $243 I didn't have that much money that's why I called ahead to make sure I had enough they threatened to have me arrested because I couldn't pay the bill till tomorrow when I called to make sure I had enough they stole from me it was the other way around and the lady kept threatening me telling me I needed to come down but she was threatening me don't ever go to this place stay away from there hateful

Today was my first time here. I went on a referral from a co-worker. My puppy and I had a great experience! They listened to my concerns and were knowledgeable. I can't remember the vets name but it was a man. Very down to earth, knowledgeable, a real animal lover and patient. The vet tech was great too she explained everything and wasnt in a rush. We will be back!

I went to Belleville animal clinic for a quality of life exam for my 20-year-old dachshund. Very happy with the honest results and evaluation by the staff.

The staff and vets here are amazing. We had two very sick dogs and they meet with us each time we came in with compassion and treatment options. When we had to cross each one over the bridge the compassion they showed helped. We will always recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.

I switched to this vet after a well funded vet office (rhymes with oar jaws) wouldn't see my dog after a trauma incident, even though we had multiple visits and two loved animals put down there. They treated my Violet like a princess despite the fact they were busy as hell! I praise all of the women working here for their professionalism, hard work, and love of animals that they have. You rock BAC!

I specifically requested to get the next 3 months of shots and tests done for my dog and was told she was up to date. I did this because I am out of state. I was told "they're fine" Now I find out one is a month behind for her rabies and the other has to start her bordatello process all over again because this clinic failed to tell me what was due, despite me specifically going out of my way to ask. The staffs negligence has cost me time, money, and the safety of my animals.

I love this place and so does my dogs. They are very respectful and kind towards me and my dogs. My beagle has had a lot of issues in the past few months and they have gone far and beyond to schedule him in and make sure he is ok. 10/10 would recommend.

I used them for a few years, and I kept excusing poor service as a staff member having a bad day. Twice they have made appointments and then they disappeared from the schedule, leaving me out of luck when I took off work to be there. In sum, I think they have too much business to care, and they give reliably bad service. I'm taking my pets elsewhere.

We took our dog for a "quality of life exam" due to his declining health. The vet was very understanding and gave us meds for his comfort until we decide our next step. I appreciated their time and expertise. I also appreciated that they could get me in quickly as I called Friday for this appointment.

We took our puppy Here 3 days ago when she wasn't feeling well. When they took her they said she had Parvo even though she was showing no symptoms. We didn't question it because we believed they knew what they were doing. Unfortunately that was not the case. They left her in A cage covered in her own filth, and did not give her water or take care of her.

When we did get the chance to see her two days later, after them telling us that she was doing good, her arm was three times the size of her other legs and infected from them messing up the catheter so many times and not cleaning it and she could barely move. They continued to take more than $600 a day and lying to us about her condition. Our 2 month puppy died the next day and they had her cremated before we could even get pictures. Please please please do not go here I will regret taking my dog here for the rest of my life.

My first visit there with my baby, very good! They are so kind. The visit was easy and convenient. The wait for me wasn't bad as we got to sit in the car and wait. The cost was affordable. My baby has some stress issues. The doctor gave him meds and had a thorough conversation with me about helpful tips. They were very kind and I'm glad Marley will be establishing care at this office. We live one street over so that's nice too. I love it! Hopefully one day we can go inside once covid is under control.

I'm writing this after just getting off the phone with my daughter after finding out this place just killed her puppy! She took him in this morning for his vaccines and to be neutered then received a call saying "his labs were all normal not sure what happened but he stopped breathing", what? No this is not ok! I absolutely don't recommend this place at least not for anything important!

Text them and got immediate responses. I text at 8pm for an appointment today December 23, 2020 and I was seen at 8:30pm as soon as I arrived. They treated my puppy with so much care and love and also took so much time in explaining the importance of the many things I needed to do with my new pup. They even went as far as giving my son this beautiful hard cover puppy book that has so many details about pups and how to help raise them.

I have had three cats over the past 10+ years that I have taken to BAC. I have always found the vets, the techs, the front desk and the administrator very, very helpful and kind to my animals. One cat had diabetes, one cat had a thyroid issue, allergy issue and arthritis issue and the third recently had a UTI. The vets always took a personal interest in my animal and I believe that they received the very best care.

The vets have always been good about calling me back when I had any questions and appointments have always been easy to make. The place is usually very busy, at least before COVID, and the prices seem comparable to other vets. BAC was recommended to me over 10+ years ago and I would recommend it to anyone now.

I've brought my pets here 5+ times between the 2 of them over the last two years. I worked at a vets office in MO for a year and a half some time ago so I understand that some appointments run longer than blocked off for and things don't always go as planned BUT every time i have been here they are at least 15-20+ minutes late. I've had to reschedule a couple of times due to never making it back to a room and having to make it to work.

The front desk staff never seems to care or have any empathy for the situation. To me, this is a blatant disrespect of others peoples time and it's extremely frustrating. When the new vet opens in Shiloh we will definitely be making the switch.

I am new to the area and took my dog to Belleville Animal Clinic based on a recommendation. About two weeks ago, my dog had some symptoms so I brought her in, we were seen, and left with some medicine. Now that she is done with the medicine, some of the symptoms have returned. When I called, the person that answered the phone cut me off multiple times and was rude and short with me.

I was told I'd hear back from the vet. About three hours later I hadn't heard back but some new symptoms had developed in my dog so I called back to make a note of that. The same person took my call and again interrupted me multiple times. She read the first note she had made back to me and it was incorrect. I tried to correct parts of it and she accused me of lying the first time I called in.

She was all but yelling at this point, as if my call and my dog's health was an inconvenience to the clinic. By the time I hung up with her I was in tears. I have never been treated so poorly for simply calling to ask questions and out of concern for my dog. I will never recommend this animal clinic and I will not be back again.

I love this place. I have two Boston's, one is a puppy and the other a old man (rescue). I never feel rushed. The docs answer all my questions.

This place is really nice and has that homey feel to it. They normally have appointments available the next day and also is open on the weekends. You have to get your pet checked out first before you buy heart guard but it's worth it. Be sure to ask for the nail trimming as well. The prices aren't too bad but it's not exactly cheap either.

On average you can have a physical, nail trimming, and a 6 month supply of heartgaurd and tick guard for around $200. The waiting room is really small so if your helper is waiting get ready for a bark fest. Be sure to use a leash.

Last night at 7:20 pm my 6month old Pomeranian jumped on the table because my kids left their food out. When he got caught he jumped off, fell and broke his paw in two places. Belleville Animal Clinic immediately took my poor baby in, gave him meds, kept him over night and gave him the best treatment any fur mom could ask for. I am beyond thankful. No amount of dollars are worth my puppy. Thanks So much for your services. Signed, Tucker's mom

Ok vet but pricing is getting out of hand. Besides their vet service pricing going up, their prescription prices are 60% higher than 1800petmeds.com so now they charge $10 per script. A change they don't mention on their website. Still I'd rather pay that rather than an extra 60% (in this case, $137) for my dogs medicine. I've never seen a Dr or Vet charge extra for prescriptions as that is included in the basic charges when they did their annual checkups, so I'll be looking for a new veterinarian.

My young cat was vomiting and wasn't eating. I decided to take him to Belleville Animal clinic because they had an opening. I wasn't overly impressed with the experience. The staff seemed like they were required to be there. After looking at my cat, 12 months old, the Vet recommended testing him for diabetes and testing his kidneys, $$$. maybe if he were 12 years. the Vet tech and I corrected the Vets assumption of his age and she changed the assessment of his condition.

We did visit yesterday, and my cat is eating today. So this is good news. But I will likely not return to this Vet clinic. I feel the charge was way too much. I paid $167 for my cat, this is two months after I paid $117 to have him fixed up after he got hurt after sneaking out (severe entry and exit wound). Other people are possibly not quite able to pay this much if they have a sick animal. In the end the animal suffers.

If not for the attention and care of the staff and Vets my 13 year old lab would not be walking. They got him within half hour of my phone call. The vet put him of a cocktail of meds and recommended laser therapy. I honestly thought he would not be coming home with us since he collapsed and his back legs would not work. I go In every couple of weeks to get his meds refilled and they are friendly and caring. The vet has even called to check on him.

Absolutely abhorrent experience. My asthmatic and allergy prone cat was taken here because she had a rodent ulcer on her tongue. The vet and vet assistant gave her medications without telling me they were doing them with shots. The assistant held her down like she was going to flip out. Less than a week later my cat was literally dying and I took her in for emergency care.

She had fluid in her lungs and they X-rayed her only claiming her lungs looked hazy. They couldn't even diagnose her and if the vet before had any fucking bedside manner she wouldn't have given her a heavy shot of steroids which triggered this to happen. I had to drive to VSS in Missouri over an hour away to be told she had congestive heart failure.

Why couldn't the vet at bac tell me this? Are you seriously that incompetent that you can't recognize it or are you people too cowardly to tell me the truth? I knew what it was before I was told by VSS, but I had hoped it wasn't. My cat had to be put down the next day and though chf couldn't have been avoided if this vet office had even spent more than five seconds looking her over maybe they wouldn't have basically sent her to her death. If I could give you zero stars I would. Stay away from these incompetent people!

This place is great! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices, and the hours are awesome! I've never had to wait more than a day to get my dogs seen nor have I had to wait more than 10-15 minutes at my appointment time. My dogs usually get nervous and shake when my mom has to take them to the vet back in Pennsylvania but when they're in Belleville with me we go here and both dogs love it! They get excited when I pull in and seem very relaxed in the waiting area. I'd recommend using their services for any of your animals!

Amazing! I have a stray that's been hanging around for some time. Needless to say, he is a bit wild. The clinic did all the right things and was able to give this little guy a good checkup as well as shots. I wad been dredging whole experience and am much relieved that it went so well

If I could give zero stars I would. I just moved to the area and my cat has become ill and needs medical attention. After spending 15 minutes on the phone giving all our information and setting up an appointment I was told since we were a new patient there would be a $150 "new patient deposit" along with the visit fee's. I have never heard of such a thing!

I have a sick feline companion who I want to get medical treatment for and am willing to pay reasonable and customary costs associated with any needed treatment but a "new patient deposit"?! Sounds like price gouging to new residents of the area.

As someone new to "catting, " it's a relief to find a vet that will take the time to explain what your cats need and when. Other places lacked the time or communication skills to explain anything to me. Compared to the other places I've tried, BAC's prices are fair, and their level of service and patient education is exceptional. The vet techs were very knowledgable and welcoming, too. I'm really happy I found this place :

I've come here several times with my mommy-in-law to help me with my furry babies. She suggested this place to me because she's been coming here for years. My newest baby, Khaleesi, was scratching her face more than normal and it was causing her to bleed. I took her in by myself and they discovered she had a pretty bad case of ear mites.

They saw me without an appointment and loved Khaleesi. They were all incredibly nice and attentive. They also give you a free kitten kit the first time your kitty is seen there. It comes with treats, kitten food, tons of literature on raising cats and a folder for your records. I can't imagine taking my babies anywhere else for their medical needs.
