I'm Dan Tambourine, President and owner of Crossroads Pet Resort, Inc. I have been in the pet industry for as long as I can remember. Animals are my passion and I have always been committed to their care. We have been at our current location since 1996 and since that time, we have worked hard to hire the best staff to provide the best pet care and dog training available in Orange and Los Angeles counties.
Outside grass play yard means your dog will get lots of time in the fresh air, with plenty of shelter, shade and fresh water. Supervised group play means your social butterfly will enjoy the company of other dogs of like size and temperament. Private residence offers the opportunity for your dog to feel more at home - perfect for young pups, older dogs and shy or timid dogs, but all social dogs are welcome.
We treat your dog as if they are one of our own. Our staff knows that activity and interaction with people and other dogs is what keeps dogs happy and healthy. However, each dog is unique and some crave their own little perks during their stay at Crossroads Pet Resort. We've created an la carte menu of perks that you can choose from to enhance your four-legged family member's visit with us. A specialized 15-minute private play time for your dog in our large, outdoor grass play yard with one of our pet care technicians.
So that we may provide the best possible care for your pet, we now offer a Healthy Pet Warranty (HPW). This program has many advantages for you and your pet. Our HPW covers all veterinary care provided by one of our vet partners for non-pre-existing illness up to a maximum of $300. The HPW promotes timely veterinary attention for any pet that is not doing well rather than placing kennel staff in the sometimes difficult position of determining when vet care (and extra expenses for you) are needed. The HPW coverage will extend for 48 hours after departure for kennel related injury or illness treated by one of our vet partners.

Our dog enjoys going here and you can tell their staff cares about your pet and enjoys their job. The only thing I would change is their narrow parking lot, but once you do get parked, your pet will appreciate being there.

We've been taking our dog Charlie to Crossroads for A few years now. He goes to daycare about twice a month and loves playing with other dogs. We've never had issues with him staying here and have gotten comfortable enough to leave him for extended stays for boarding when we are out of town. From weekends to a trip that went three weeks. Staff has always been friendly. The check-in and out process is smooth. I recommend this place if you're in need of dog daycare or boarding.

We LOVE crossroads. They are super helpful and kind. They seem to love our dogs, which we love. And our dogs love going. They get super excited as we pull into the parking lot. They make accommodations for all breeds and temperaments.

My Ginger has been going to Crossroads about 6 years now. It is the only place I would put my dog in. She has been spoiled by her 2nd family of humans. She has been taken care when she has been sick. They have taken her to my vet when they thought it necessary. She has her buddies to play with. She is an old gal, and I feel relieved that she is amongst folks that care. I know she is safe!

We began with Crossroads close to 15 years ago with our first dog. She always loved going for daycare or boarding. Now, we bring our newest girl in for daycare and boarding regularly. She is part of our family and they treat her like she is part of theirs. We truly appreciate Crossroads and their caring staff. Love you guys!

Crossroads Pet Resort is an awesome place for doggy day care or boarding. The staff are very nice and really like their job. They are excellent with my dogs. My dogs are always super excited when they know we are on the way there. They love it! They even have dog training classes. There is a large play area, they put your baby with dogs they get along with based on their personality and temperament. I highly recommend this Pet Resort!

We just had our evaluation for fear/aggression and already I have much more hope for our rescue dog. The owner got her to stop snapping and snarling at him in a about a minute. She behaved and didn't seem afraid the rest of the visit. I was amazed and signed up immediately. I will update after our upcoming lessons but I'm feeling very positive already. The rest of the staff was very friendly and I could tell they were knowledgeable even with my jumpy dog.

We have been customers of Crossroads for quite some time, but hadn't been since the pandemic started. We took our lab in yesterday for daycare to get her used to going again. She was so excited when we got there! She was ecstatic! Lexi helped me at the desk and got us updated with the health and emergency info. She also explained the new protocol concerning drop off and pick up for our pup.

She was kind and efficient, to say the least. When we picked up our pup, she was happy and also tired from playing with friends. They always let you know who she has played with during her stay. We have always had a happy dog coming back from Crossroads.

I do not recommend. Although my parent's dogs looked better after grooming, the next time I went to give one of the dogs a bath she trembled in fear and was so afraid that she threw up! She has NEVER done this before and used to love baths before coming to this place. I'm not sure what they did to her, but we will NOT be coming back.

This is my first review ever on yelp so i hope it stays. Took my 5 mo old Chocolate Lab to Crossroads for training. She was out of control biting and attacking. Our arms and hands were bloody and scratched up. Also she would NOT walk on a leash, she would just flop on the sidewalk and not move. So we figured we would send her away for 2 weeks for training.

It was get her trained or find her a new home. We were nervous to go pick her up when the 2 weeks were up, not knowing if the training worked or not. OMG she was a completely different dog! No random biting attacks! Super sweet and well behaved. She even walks on the leash and we have fun with her now! She even likes to cuddle now, and she never did that before training. We are so thankful for Crossroads! It was definitely worth the money! Call them!

My dog absolutely loves going to Crossroads! We use them for boarding, daycare, grooming, and training. It's a one spot stop for all of our needs which is a huge plus. All the staff are very kind and you can tell that they truly do care about our pets! I always have peace of mind knowing my dog is in good hands. They're also a one of a kind facility that offers dog socialization!

Find another dog trainer! If possible I would have given negative stars. I spent well over $1,000 to have my two rescue puppies trained for a week. (Actually, it was five days because no training is done on the weekend. Something I had not been told.) They came home barely knowing their names, and crate trained (according to them but terrified of the crates at home.) My #1 priority was leash walking.

I was told they couldn't do that because the dogs had "only been there a week". I was given some printed materials that was very difficult to understand and a handwritten evaluation from the owner in absolutely terrible handwriting - impossible to read. It was recommended I purchase two books totalling $20. Why? Shouldn't they have been taught for all that money? I found the owner and many of the staff quite rude. And to top it all off one came home with kennel cough costing me another $400. Stay away!

If I could leave Dan and his team 100 stars, I would. We brought in our large dog who was becoming aggressive for board and train, and he's like a new dog. He still has all the best parts of his personality and is just a new and improved version of himself. We will bring any and all future dogs to Dan for training and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for training. Plus, he helped train us too (not just the dog)! And, it's clear that the dog loves all the staff there too.

What a mistake trusting Dan with our 4-month old puppy. After 7 days and over $1000 we had to take her to a vet for a bad eye infection that got worse thanks to careless training - they wouldn't even return her drops that we gave them and asked them to give to Stella. Our vet also needed to check Stella for a bee sting during her stay at crossroads which swelled her face and required immediate treatment by their vet costing another $2-300.

What kind of facility with a "special" puppy care section allows a young puppy to get near bees. They even forgot to give her a bath! Dan nor any manager called me back to address these concerns, despite their promise to do so. Stay away from this place- your dog deserves better!

My dog has been going to this place since 2014 and he loves it; at that time they offered a tour to the facility prior signing up, my dog got one free day at their daycare since they had to make sure he was feeling comfortable with other dogs around. The staff there is very friendly and you can tell they are dogs lovers. There is always a staff member ready to help me getting my dog on and/or off my truck when I needed.

Their grooming salon is also great and my dog feels very comfortable taking his baths and grooming with familiar faces. For boarding you can either pay for your dog's food there or bring your own, you will also have to pay for your dog's bath everytime after boarding. Crossroads has monthly membership and punch cards for daycare which are cheaper than paying daycare per day, the only downside on the punch cards is that they expire but you can always ask them to change the expiration date for you and they will move it forward which is really nice. Last thing, their halloween's party is so much fun, they put a lot to gather this every year and every body has lot of fun watching our furry kids all dressed up.

I love this place! I have brought my dog, Marley who passed away in July 2018 here for almost 10 years. My new pup, Layla loves going to daycare-She can't stop wagging her tail when she is taken to play with her furry friends! Layla loves being boarded there as there is someone that is there 24/7 so I am at ease that my puppy is being monitored.

I trust Crossroads over any person to watch Layla! She is so happy when she goes & comes home. I love the staff as they are so accommodating & care so much! I refer everyone I know here to board, train or go to daycare at Crossroads Pet Resort!

This review is a little overdue but we initially boarded our dog in August while we were out of town. The initial booking process and social test experiences were great! They were having technical hiccups at the time of booking but they were very attentive and accommodating. I understand things can come up. The front staff at the time were very warm and friendly.

My negative experience came from the actual days of boarding. I arrived about 5 minutes early from opening hours and tapped on the door in case anyone was inside and the door was by a very annoyed employee with no greeting at all, but I understand, it's early in the morning. A weird start to the experience but I figured it was an off day. The entire time while I was filling out paper, I just got a feeling they just wanted me to hurry up and leave.

I had to ask questions to get pick up information and general information about the stay that I thought would be protocol to let me know without me having to ask. Unfortunately, when I picked my dog up - she caught kennel cough. I took her to the vet and the doctor told me she most likely got it from boarding as dogs usually catch it amongst other dogs.

When I was contacted for feedback, I did mention about my dog catching kennel cough. I didn't make a big fuss about it, i was telling them as a concern but the person on the other line didn't even seemed concerned. There was no standard "sorry to hear that" they literally said "oh." and that was about it. At that point I already paid all of my vet bills and I was so thrown off by the response, I was tempted to ask them to pay partial for my dog's medical bills but I didn't think that was ENTIRELY fair but the experience did leave a poor taste in my mouth. I most likely won't be taking my dog back there but I did leave an extra star for those staff members that were sweet and kind to us.

So disappointed with this boarding facility! My dogs have been going here for many years. I usually only take them about once a year because I can't stand to leave them. You see, they are my babies. Last week they stayed for 4 days so we could go to a wedding out of state. Prior to their stay we stopped in to complete the paperwork so drop off would be simplified.

On the paperwork I let them know that Barkley needs eye drops daily and Teddy needs to finish his antibiotics for his ear infection. I specifically asked if they would administer the meds and was told there would be no problem. Well, on Sunday when we picked up our babies I could clearly see Barkley had a very bad eye infection. I can't believe that his eye condition was not acknowledged by anyone.

I asked about the medications. They brought out the medications from the office and right away I realized they had never been administered to our babies. The staff made a lot of excuses and blamed it on "someone that was being fired". Nobody took responsibility. We were very upset and told Becky the kennel manager that we would be back in the morning to speak with the owner regarding the negligence of the staff.

Our paperwork clearly stated that medication was needed. I had attached notes to both medications with instructions. No staff member had signed off on the administration of the medicines. No report card regarding their stay was given to us. The cost was over $300 which we had paid before we saw our babies and realized the serious mistakes made by the staff and management.

Thank goodness these were not life or death medications. We returned today and met with assistant manager Laura. The owner did not come out to speak with us. Laura was apologetic. FYI - Just know that there is a really big staff problem here. Managers are not supervising the employees. Serious mistakes are being made. Policies are not in place. Laura said the staff should be doing daily health checks but there were none for my babies.

Medication was not given. A report card regarding their stay was not available. My dogs deserve better! Laura did refund our money and she did apologize. We do appreciate that. I would really be uncomfortable taking my babies here in the future. If you use this facility question everything. Ask specifically about their policies and procedures. They really need to step up their professionalism!

On the way out I asked again for the report card about my dogs stay and Becky had no idea where it could be and she said she would email it to me. I received nothing. See photos provided. Very disappointed doggie Mom here.

We have been taking our huskies there for daycare for well over a year and they love it! The employees are nice and they put your dog in a play group with dogs that have similar exercise needs and temperments. They also do great grooming jobs, and take really good care of your dogs when boarded.

Today is Thursday and I am supposed to drop off my 2 dogs at 7 am for their day care and train program. Then I was told I couldn't because they don't have my dogs' vet records. But Nikkie, the office manager, told me she would contact the vet after our conversation ended on Monday. Then her email said a proof of current records is required.

The girl at the reception desk told me no vet was ever contacted. I am hoping next time they would just verbally mentioned to bring the vet records, so it won't get confusing. I went to Crossroads before for my husky's board and train. They do have good trainers and saw improvement of my husky. So I want to give another try with my other dogs. 4 stars for the trainer who trained my husky.

My dog has been coming here for over 2 years. It's a great place for any dog. They work with you and your dog to accommodate every different dog personality. She loves coming here and gets excited to see all the loving staff. She's been here for both daycare and boarding.

I've taken my dog here before for grooming for a bath brush cut, the works. I dont think i will be returning from the tone of the groomer to how she treated those working with her. Definetly wasn't pleasant and my dog collar and leash was given to a different dog owner. She apologized. In regards to my dog grooming, it appears he was just given a bath and really not much of a cut given.

He had his anal glands expressed but still had a little number 2 in his butt there. 40 dollars spent wasnt really worth it as it has in the past. Onward to another dog grooming spot where the groomer isnt agitated and fustrated with an older lady she is working with and clearly expressing some type of anger wherever it may be. Thanks for the service and not.

We've been taking our dog Duke here for the past three years and would not consider taking him elsewhere. The staff is professional and are dog lovers. We've taken him for various lengths of time; from just daycare, to one day, one week, up to 12 days and he loves it. We've also taken advantage of the groomer which has never disappointed. Duke loves to socialize as well as let out his energy and this is the perfect place. Much more room and exercise than any other dog boarding I've used.
