I got my blue Quaker from here and the experience was wonderful! Super knowledgeable and friendly staff and the owner is wonderful as well! Large selection of toys and cages accessories!

By far the best and most knowledgeable of the bird joints I have been to. It's obvious they love the birds here. It matters.

Just moved to Rochester from out of state and was happy to see there's a bird store here! Actually far nicer than the one I used to go to near Boston. They had plenty of toys, cages, and supplies for larger parrots and parakeets. Unfortunately they didn't have as much for Conure-sized parrots, but still better than what you'd find at a petco. Great prices too!

Staff are always helpful and knowledgeable. The ONLY place I trust to get quality of birds, equipment, toys and food.

I have the best bird "Jude" that I purchased from Birds Unlimited. I picked him out when he was very young and visited him several times a week until he was ready to come home. Being a new bird mom, I had tons of questions. I would like to thank all the staff at Birds Unlimited, especially Dallas, who took the time to answer all those questions, educate me and took great care of little Jude until I could bring him home. He's awesome. Thank you Birds Unlimited. And thank you Dallas.

Paul single-handedly saved our African Grey. We couldn't get into a vet for 2 days and he gave us the supplies and knowledge to keep her safe until we could seek medical care. He is always so kind, helpful, and friendly and trains his staff to be the same. The store is clean and well-stocked. We are lucky to have such a fantastic resource in our town!

Paul is always very responsive and informative. I waited two years to buy a daughter the right bird for her emailing Paul along the way. We now have purchased 2 cockatiels, a sun conure and a lover bird

Excellent knowledgeable team. If you are going to Adopt a bird this is the best place in the state if not the country. They will make sure your baby has the best start on life. They have been happy to answer any questions and help with recommendations on food and toys. They have a wide variety of supplies as well.

Wow! This place is amazing. Made the drive from Buffalo to buy a bird we found online. Store was closed because of covid-19 but opened for pick up. Very knowledgeable employee let just my family into the store to pick up our new bird and supplies. All which are reasonably priced. The store is beautiful, I'm happy to find out they reopened to everyone just this week.

Our bird is amazing! Hand feed as a baby by this store made him just the sweetest thing. The selection of bird toys here is also amazing. Now that the store has reopened we will be stopping in. Can't wait to explore and see all the birds!

I just got a new bird from this place and I couldn't be happier. I've wanted a bird all my life and my new friends is just perfect. The store is super neat and has plenty to look at. So many birds, toys, food and much much more. The workers where very helpful and explained everything to us about what our bird would need. I would highly recommend making the drive to this place for a bird.

It's a real nice place with lots of well priced birds and toys 5 stars. I bought a hand fed blue Quaker for $500 wich is a good price for that bird at "exotic pet birds inc" they charge $550 so yeah.

You will get educated answers from birds unlimited. They take their time weaning birds. They let them decide. They eat a healthy diet. They are socialized. They have their time outs on play stands. They are not crammed into tiny cages. Birdsunlimited offers a wide variety of food and toys. The store has rules. They are for the protection of babies. This ensures all birds stay healthy. This should be the only place to buy birds.

There is no better place to go for exotic birds. Paul and his staff know the ins and outs of owning and raising birds. All birds are hand raised by Paul. There is literally nothing this guy doesn't know about the care of birds. They also carry bird cages, playgrounds, food and more. Don't buy until you give them a try.

I visited Birds Unlimited in August to pick out my first parrot. We were impressed with the knowledge of birds imparted by the staff, especially Paul, the proprietor. He's lived and breathed birds for decades, even so far as to have been the president of the local bird club. The staff helped us pick out a hybrid conure (Green Cheeks and something else) who has proven to be healthy, mostly-family-friendly and very affectionate.

The store was clean, and the birds cages especially so. It has a number of cages, lots of foods, and a plethora of toys to choose from. We were able to purchase literally everything we needed to be first-time parrot parents. As an added bonus, Paul offers three, free groomings (by appointment) a year for birds purchased at his store, and they include flight feather, nail, and beak maintenance. Paul and company offer post-sale support for bird n00bs like us - we're welcome to call with any questions and/or concerns as they come up. Overall, Birds Unlimited is truly an asset to bird lovers local to Rochester, NY.

I lived in Ithaca nearly two years before I was able to visit Birds Unlimited (the two hour drive from Ithaca wasn't justifiable to my husband). Fortunately, I was finally able to visit and investigate the premises. The birds all live in clean cages, though most aren't suitable in size for the birds they house (there were two cockatoos in a cage suitable for a conure). Birds Unltd. stocks a sizable amount of Roudybush pellets and has a wall full of toys.

They also sell cages, playstands, books, and a variety of other items. A few months after my first visit, my SO surprised me with a Cinnamon Green Cheek conure baby from the store. My personal preference is to rescue abandoned or abused parrots, so finding a baby from a specialty store wasn't the most pleasant surprise, but we made do. Although Miso came with a free visit to a vet in Rochester, we took her to see my avian vet in Ithaca and Miso was pronounced healthy with clean gram stain and clear bloodwork. She's a gorgeous, healthy baby, but extremely hand-shy, fearful, and untame.

After she went through quarantine, we introduced her to her new best friend, GCC Bonzai!, and they've been cage mates ever since. Miso is great with Bonzai!, but completely fearful of humans. I wouldn't have been pleased had she been given to me as MY pet; when I told my SO I'd hope to find a friend for Bonzai! one day, that is precisely what I had in mind, and Miso is a great companion for her - just not for me, and I'm afraid that a different owner may not have been very happy had they brought Miso home =\
