Brigadoon, founded by Denise CoStantan, is simply the BEST. Her training techniques stand head and shoulders above the rest. Her support of my when I was having difficult health issues cannot be overstated when I say she is my guardian angel. My service dog, trained by Denise and her crew, is my lifeline. I don't know where I'd be without Denise and her outstanding staff at Brigadoon.

I am a retired Master Chief. My wife and I set up a meeting and drove to Brigadoon to meet with their team. Our initial point of contact was Robin. She is always responsive and encouraging. Denise is the founder, head trainer and director of "Brigadoon Service Dogs", a certified non-profit service dog training agency for all kinds of disabilities.

We immediately fell in love with her and her program. Her program is genius! Prisoners (who are veterans) and have earned special privilege get to assist in the training process. This is undoubtedly helping in the veterans healing process, not to mention the veteran obtains an additional skill. Once the dogs are vetted, the dogs leave the prison and another dog is brought in to replace it.

Once the dog moves to the next phase of training, they are moved to her facility. We were given a full tour of the facility and a sit down with the owner; Denise. If you're looking for a dog or a place to volunteer and/or donate to, this is the place. We loved our tour and sit down. Be careful they have cats on premises. You may fall in love with them on the way out. I am not a cat person, but they were pretty sweet! Thank you for hosting us team! Keep up the great work! A and J

The training services in this state are a joke. I contacted a number of trainers when I moved here, and they all told me no. I am a disabled veteran, and they told me no. Why? Cause I refused to buy a dog from them directly, and they wouldn't train the GSD, or Border Collie I already had who had both been purchased for this reason. So not only did they expect the same price as a new car to train a dog, but they required me to purchase the dog they trained from them.

It couldn't be my dog. Now this might have changed, or maybe I was speaking to someone who didn't know what they were talking about, but all I saw from them was just another group of people trying to take advantage of folks with real problems. Just like any other company that deals with pets, they claim that's all they care about. Really that's just a lie, and what they really care about is in your wallet. I have no respect for these kinds of people, and they will never deserve it.

The work that the folks at Brigadoon are doing is incredible. Training service dogs, to a very high standard, that will eventually be paired with a disabled veteran.

We are on the waitlist here and they have been great and easily reachable. The director, Denise, is very visible and involved with her clients and has a lot of experience. Our son has Autism and he's five, his elopement can put him in danger so we think a service dog will really help ground him. You can check out our fundraiser at go fund me called Paws for Hadrian - Autism service dog. #AutismFam #PawsForHadrian
