The Brown Woof Inn is a pet boarding facility nestled on 5 acres of partially wooded property in Northeast Ohio, minutes from Chardon or Painesville. We have two equally important goals; we want your pet to enjoy his stay with us, and we want you to be satisfied with the quality of care your pet receives. The Brown Woof Inn was founded by Shery and Gary Alligood almost 15 years ago. Shery was able to realize her lifelog dream of working with dogs full time, having grown up showing and training Afghan Hounds and German Sheperds.

About Us Report

Our facility was constructed in the early 90's especially for boarding. It is a block building with a coated concrete floor that is kept sanitary. The building is fully air conditioned in the summer, and our in-floor heating system is extremely popular with our guests in the winter. We have individual indoor-outdoor enclosures that on the inside are 5 feet long and either 4 feet or 5 feet wide.

We are a small, private facility dedicated to providing the best care we can for your pet. We have set aside specific times for pick up and drop off that we have found best meets the sometimes divergent needs of our customers, our staff, and our guests. We require proof of vaccination for Rabies, DHPP, and an annual Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination.

My dog, an Australian Shepherd, was boarded here for about a week. They were excellent! She was returned to me healthy, clean, and happy. Tim was great and happy when I called to check on her throughout the week. I recommend this place and will be returning in the future.

I don't know how this place has so many "wonderful" reviews. My roommate took her dog here and seriously regrets it. The dog came back home with poop all over her fur on her butt, we had to literally cut the fur off because it was so imbedded in there. That never happens at home with the dog so I do not understand why it happened here. I DO NOT recommend this place. I dog sit on the side, I have sat 4 dogs at once. It really is not hard to take care of them.

Great place for your dog to stay if you're away. Family owned. Kennels right on the owners property so pets are well cared for. Could not ask for a better place for my doberman to stay.

Owner and staff do a great job. We have two large German Shepard's and they always take great care of them. Our dog's are always in great shape when we pick them up.
