Services
When your pet arrives for grooming, it will be inspected for fleas and other parasites before being gently and thoroughly bathed. After bathing, your pet will be hand dried with a warm, forced-air dryer. During the bathing and drying process, we will be on the lookout for any skin problems or other health concerns bothering your pet so that we can take the extra care necessary, and pass these concerns on to you for follow-up.
Camp Bandy offers an 80 x 130 foot indoor training arena with Humane flooring over packed sand, kitchen, restrooms, boarding kennels, and a large outdoor fenced area suitable for obedience, agility, lure coursing and schutzhund training, seminars, and events. Camp Bandy also features a regulation A course arena for sheep herding, a large round pen suitable for HT and training, and seasonal regulation A and B course duck arenas for your events. We have high-quality agility and obedience equipment, as well as sheep and call ducks available for your herding event.

This review is for December of 2021. I dropped off my dog to be boarded for two weeks while I went on vacation. When I returned he was excited to see me and I did not experience any issues with Camp Bandy at all. The staff was friendly and professional and answered my questions about everything I needed to know. I would definitely return if I needed to board my dog again.

I do not recommend Camp Bandy. My dog Sadie was going to Camp Bandy for almost 2 years. Hadn't had a problem till 5/21-5/23. We dropped her off Friday with no limp & picked her up Sunday with a major limp. She was barely putting weight on her back right leg. All the people working there are apparently new & assumed Saturday that this limp was due to age, including the owner.
They never talked to the people who saw her Friday without a limp. The owner couldn't even speak to her daughter who saw my dog Friday without the limp. They cant tell us what happened between Friday evening & Saturday morning because they have no cameras. Apparently they dont keep any records of conditions of dogs & no one knew how good of health she was in before this happened.
They also gave her acetaminophen & they still never called us about her injury. We did go to the vet & Sadie had a torn meniscus by her knee. She ended up with her left leg tearing the same a month later. My dog has now passed away from these injuries with her old age. I will not be going back to Camp Bandy with any dog again! This place needs to do better with communication & documentation with animals.

My GSD has separation anxiety and is uncertain of other humans, leaving him extremely difficult for the people he is unused to due to his stress triggers and his wariness as he learns what it means to be a dog. I was hesitant to leave him here the very first time, but due to the circumstances at the time, I gave this place a chance. There is not a decision in the world that I feel would have been better than Camp Bandy, which leaves me with the confidence to not only return, but highly recommend.
The staff has been amazing, is always attentive and sensitive to his needs, and are more than willing to answer thoroughly when I call to check in on him. It also seems that he has come more and more out of his shell each time, and hopefully will soon find it as a good dogcation resort.

Camp Bandy gets a mixed review from me. The classes are great. I'll never board our dog there again. The website clearly states they are given exercise time four times a day and lots of attention. We dropped our pup off for "daycare " of almost seven hours. He went out Once for ten minutes and sat sedentary the entire day. Thanks to my Fi smart collar, I know exactly how active my dog is.
So instead of picking up a happy tired pup, he was amped up and had to go to the bathroom badly. This is very upsetting to me and I feel like the website was misleading. I really trusted this place and I feel very misled. I forgot to mention that I called and had a lengthy conversation with staff about dog boarding practices before considering taking him here

I'm so thrilled with this pet resort and the training services. They've taken such good care of our dog. As well as us. The owners have been fantastic. We had some issues with training. Due to our dog, not the establishment and camp Bandy made sure to offer an acceptable resolution. Highly recommend.
