After training with Adam, my 5 year old Boxer mix is a joy to take for walks. She now follows my lead and will walk past other dogs, squirrels and no longer pulls me along. While staying with us, your dog will receive multiple daily Training Sessions. Your dog will learn skills such as Heel, Loose Leash Free Walk, Sit, Sit and Down-Stay, Go to Place and Come when Called.
Adam and Susanna Campbell have been in the dog care profession since 1995. They have been featured in Life Magazine and on the local Fox News and ABC News and consistently Voted Top Dog Training Business by Washingtonian Magazine. In the Spring of 2001, Adam and Susanna made the decision to leave their positions as head trainers at a prestigious Washington DC area dog training school in order to pursue their dream.
Our 7-month-old rescue Maddie just attended The Campbell's two-week board and train program, we are extremely pleased with the outcome of her training sessions with Adam. Before we brought her, she was jumping up on everyone, straining at the leash when walking, and not obeying simple commands. She is like a different dog after only 14 days, she can follow many commands, heels when walking, and is just generally calmer and more pleasant to be around.Definitely have to follow up and reinforce the training she received to make them habits but Adam has given us a great start to a more happy and obedient dog.

Our 7 month old rescue Maddie, just attended The Cambell's two week board and train program, we are extremely pleased with the outcome of her training sessions with Adam. Before we brought her, she was jumping up on everyone, straining at the leash when walking and not obeying simple commands. She is like a different dog after only 14 days, she can follow many commands, heels when walking and is just generally calmer and more pleasant to be around. Brought my large puppy to Adam and the experience was great. Annie is a Great Pyrenees/black lab mix. She was about 7 months old when I got her and close to 60 pounds. Adam worked with her for 2 hours a day for 10 days.she stopped pulling when walking, learned to heal and stopped jumping. Plus she loved going to see Adam. Whole experience was great. Highly recommend Campbell's Canine Training!

Adam really wants to see good dogs and happy owners. Our 2-year-old cavachon was cute and fun to play with. We spent time training him with treats and with a sound/vibrate/shock collar and he would sit, stay (for a while) and go to his kennel. But he was still strong-willed, down-right bratty (his biting at me was his way of telling me he wanted to play), and still barked at most passing dogs and people until they were out of sight (we winter in an RV).
After 2 weeks with Adam our dog is a dream. He can sit at a window and watch dogs go by not making a sound 90% of the time, and the other 10% it's just one bark, or a whine. We say "eh-eh" when we can tell he's about to do an undesirable behavior and he'll stop. Most of the time he's hanging out on the floor or a chair, not looking for a loose shoe, pen or glasses to munch on.
He'll walk at our heel, and we know what to do when he tries to get ahead of us. He's just a more relaxed dog. We are so grateful for the effort Adam put into training our dog (and us), and for the RESULTS. It was money very well spent. We may or may not need to make use of the free phone support he offers but are glad it's available. We highly recommend Campbells Canine Training.

Sending my two dogs to Campbell's Canine Training was absolutely the best money I've ever spent! I sent my 4-1/2-year-old large mixed breed dog and my 9-month-old Schipperke puppy to board and train with Susanna and Adam. I was very impressed that they were able to teach my old, anxious dog "new tricks". And the training was a total game changer for my puppy who was pretty much out of control and liked to bite.
I felt super comfortable leaving my dogs with Susanna and Adam, and they were among the few people who had even heard of my breed of puppy (and also had lots of experience with them). I shopped around a bit before choosing Campbell's Canine Training - not only were they the most responsive and friendliest, but their prices were the most reasonable as well.
After training was over, they have been there for me to answer questions and give additional tips and advice. Even though they're an hour away from me, I will definitely use them if I ever need to board my dogs in the future. I'll also be taking any new pups to them for training, even if they don't have any behavioral issues. The difference has been so major and incredible that I am sold on the benefits of training for life - or at least training with Campbell's Canines! Thank you, Susanna & Adam!

I cannot recommend Adam and Susanna Campbell highly enough! They are truly passionate about what they do and have so much expertise and experience with dogs. My 1-year-old Standard Poodle, Berkeley, came to them in March as an impulsive, wilfull, and disobedient dog, used to running his own show. It was embarrassing to walk down the streets with him, as he pulled me and also lunged at every distraction.
I could not trust him off-leash for a second. After attending the Campbell's 3-week E-Collar camp, he returned home a totally transformed dog, and the training easily transferred from them to me. Now, even 5 months later, Berkeley continues to improve. He heels like a pro, and I hardly need to use a leash any more - he is so responsive when called to come.
Another thing he learned with the Campbell's was to fetch, which he now does with great enthusiasm. He is a joy to be with and I am so proud of him! Adam and Susanna are not only professional at what they do but they continue the relationship with you after your dog goes home. I have sent 4 dogs to be trained by Adam and he is the dog whisperer. Everyone always comments on how well trained they are. That isn't an easy task when training stubborn English Setters. Even over time as things come up they are always willing to chat with me to work thru any issues. I would recommend them to anyone. I'm sad they moved to Florida but grateful they still support me virtually.

Campbells Canine Training is absolutely the best training program I have ever encountered (and we have encountered a lot!). We first met Adam over 15 years ago when we adopted a wonderful pup who was clearly more than we could handle. We had worked with a number of experienced trainers but had not found the help we needed. Adam immediately saw what a wonderful pup he was and gently worked with us to teach us how to successfully handle our amazing boy.
What Adam taught us allowed us to have a wonderful, peaceful life with our boy going forward. It also gave us the tools to continue to adopt and raise this more difficult breed (Dogo Argentino). Fifteen plus years later we encountered issues with our current Dogo that we had not encountered before. With a Facetime consult (we are in Ohio and Campbells Canine Training is in Florida) we were able to work through our concerns and overcome our obstacles.
Once again, we are on track to relax and enjoy our wonderful Scooby. Susanna and Adam's vast experience with every conceivable type of dog shows in the care and kindness they exhibit with each individual dog. When discussing the issues we encountered, we were completely confident Adam understood the nature of our dog and the context of his behavior. Adam was able to provide us with the guidance we needed to help us move forward with confidence.
We would unequivocally trust our dogs with Susanna and Adam, knowing they would care for them, and understand them, the same way that we do. To us, that is everything. Thank you Susanna and Adam.

Susanna and Adam love dogs. Every dog in their care is treated as one of their own. They trained my cavachon puppy and converted her from a very willful puppy into a well behaved one! In addition, they trained me - teaching me how to work with my dog and giving me insight into her various behaviors. It was very helpful as this was my first dog. My dog and I have developed a strong bond, building on the foundation given to us by Susanna and Adam. Thank you - I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Love love love Adam and Susanna! They are dog whisperers and have helped transform our rescues over the last 15 years Into well mannered and confident dogs. If we adopted another dog, i would drive from the DC area down to Florida just to get my dog trained with them. Whenever our dogs forget their manners (or probably more the case of our not holding up our end of the deal), we've come to say "what would Adam say?" Florida I'm so jealous they're in your back yard now. The DC metro area misses them terribly. Take you dogs to Campbells! They make life with your four-legged babies so much more rewarding for both you and your dogs.
