Services
Canine Care is a group of compassionate, dog knowledgeable people prepared to provide your best friend consistent companionship. Our services address various behavior and health issues related to potty training, boredom, and loneliness. Our vision is to give each dog we visit a sense of ease, and a little wiggle in their waggle.
Because every dog is different, we tailor each visit to meet their individual needs and sensitivities. For example, some dogs love going out in the rain, some don't. If there's lightning around, we will wait for it to blow by. Otherwise, if it's just drizzly, we will find ways to get the wary ones out for at least long enough to relieve themselves and then find a way to constructively spend the rest of your visit time. For the puddle jumpers, we will dress ourselves for the weather so they can fully enjoy their kind of day!
For families with puppies and adult dogs, in person with Lennox. We adhere to the Humane Hierarchy, Force Free, and Least Invasive Minimally Aversive guidelines. Sessions are typically one to two hours, held in and around your home and neighborhood. Lennox grew up in Northfield, Illinois. Born into a family of dogs, cats, and eventually horses, sheep, chicken, and various other animals.
Providing dogs a sense of ease, by nurturing trustworthy relationships, we are committed to sending a trained pet professional who is: familiar, well rested, and on time. Our dog walkers and sitters are W2 employees. They are interviewed, vetted, and provided ongoing training. We offer private and small group options, can give meals and medication.

I see that it's been some time since a review was posted, so I would like to add our five-star review to Lennox and his dog walkers based on our experience in the last several months and continuing. Lennox has been training our one-year-old lab, Mabel, and his philosophy and methodology is fantastic to really understand your dog and to train both you and your dog to communicate.
The walkers we have, Colleen, Nancy and Dylan, are awesome. Always on time, friendly, so reliable and capable, and always with a text right after the walk to say how long, where they walked, and what Mabel did. Could not be any more positive.

This review is long overdue but Lennox and Canine Care are the best! They stepped in at the last minute when we needed a dog walker and were able to set something up for the next day. They have been reliable and caring ever since. They go above and beyond--are responsive to texts and phone calls, special requests, requests for recommendations, etc.

Just a quick update: I used Canine Care regularly for the last five years and they have not let me down. After moving, I was assigned a new walker and he is wonderful, too. My dogs love him and he did a great job of navigating some quirky requirements of the assignment. I highly recommend Canine Care and hope you have a chance to work with them--you and your pet will love it!

We absolutely love Canine Care! Have been using the service for almost two years for walks and overnight dog sitting. Have been so impressed with canine care's willingness to accommodate last minute requests for walks. My dogs look forward to their visits with the canine care staff. The walkers are true dog lovers at heart. Scheduling is easy. I always receive a report (via text) on the visits. Thankful for their commitment to providing quality pet care!
