We are a local business that has been family owned and operated since 1977. Our goal is to provide the best care possible for the dogs and cats that come in to our salon. In 2012, we decided to expand our business to Ashburn, Virginia and relocate our Herndon store to a more appealing location. At the same time, we expanded the business into a full-service Pet Spa Boutique, which now also carries retail pet supplies at both store locations.
We carry specialty foods, raw foods, frozen pet food, treats, and specialized canned foods. Our delivery service is an easy and convenient time-management option for your busy schedule. We receive weekly deliveries of fresh and nutritious dog food ready to be delivered to you!
Champion Petfoods is an award-winning pet food maker with a reputation of trust spanning more than a quarter-century. We make Biologically Appropriate dog and cat foods from Fresh Regional Ingredients, and we make them from start to finish in our very own award-winning kitchens. Using ingredients that are sustainably raised, fished, and harvested by people we know and trust, and delivered to our kitchens FRESH or RAW. We think you'll love ACANA. More importantly, we think your dogs and cats will too.
Took my little babies here today on a whim to try another small business and I was beyond impressed. Thank you for taking such amazing care of your work and my babies. We will be back! The groomer (20 years experience) and owner were VERY friendly, love their jobs, and very caring for the pets. I happened to stumble across them when the nearby (less than a mile away) competitor that I went to once in the past wouldn't take my "very large" dog (he is 52 lbs, hardly very large) until over 3 weeks, they are just too hard to work with in many ways.

They took such great care of my dog and she came home so happy! After some not so great experiences at some other shops in the area, we are so happy to find a place that loves our dog as much as we do!

Nikki has been grooming my two sweet kids for over ten years! Krissy as well. I absolutely adore them & they truly care about the animals. I would not trust anyone else with my fur babies! I have not had a single bad experience.

I took my King Charles Cav last Friday for a trim. I had been letting my dogs ears grown for 6 months and they were ready for a little trim to even them out. I requested the groomer to just trim the most one inch. Omg. she chopped at least 3 inches and worse of all, she rounded the ears in LAYERS! Super uneven unprofessional. Also I noticed the legs were not even trimmed, the tail was swiping the floor (not trimmed neither), some parts of abdomen with holes.

I finally spoke to manager today. While explaining my disappointment she was cutting me of with excuses. She finally apologized after a long time conversation. The groomer never did. I requested refund, she said she doesn't do that, that she will give $25 discount next time! I'm not going next time! Stay away from that place. Now I will have to wait at least 6 months for my dog to look like a KCC!

Elvis loves his groomer Miss Lil. She does a great job on my little boy. Canine carousel is very clean and organize. They send pictures of your little fur baby letting them know that they are ready to be picked up. I love the pictures

Small puppy's first cut. My cute puppy looked horrible! I had to trim her to make her look normal. It was so choppy and too short. I ask for trimmed and slightly short. She looked almost buzzed. I understand first cuts can be difficult but for $90 I expected so much more! Never going back!.

I am still so grateful for Canine Carousel! They know what they are doing, and do a phenomenal job! Couldn't be happier to support a local family owned business! PREVIOUS REVIEW: After such a horrible experience at Belly Rubs (see review) I was grooming my sweet boy myself to avoid such a disaster again. Well, time gets away from me, and he's not groomed properly.

I tried out Canine Carousel probably a year ago? They ROCK! Absolutely the best service and grooming. I love their shop too! I've purchased a lot of my boys food from them. Unfortunately, I had to switch his food, and they don't carry the one he needs now. But they are the ONLY groomers I bring my boy to. Highly recommend them t

Was the best local place for grooming however over the past year the quality of the cut has dropped (choppy appearance vs smooth and tasteful) and prices keep rising rapidly. Pet treatment is wonderful so we continue to utilize their services.

Just brought our mini-schnauzer for the first time here. This place is great. Clean, professional, and the staff is very friendly. Would recommend to friends and family that are looking for a groomer. Google algorithms gave me an update about this picture being seen. I feel obliged to say that after 5 years we still take Hauser Von Schnauzer here.

Updated review from 5 stars two years ago to 2 stars due to some serious problems with miscommunication and accountability (owning up to their mistakes). The place has gone downhill in our last 2 visits since our first 3 visits. First, the last two times I did not get a phone call or message from them when the bathing and grooming was complete (they claim they did both times but I even checked with my phone carrier and there were no calls or messages from anyone that afternoon).

I had to call both times just before they closed to asked why it's taking so long as it was over 5 hours, approaching 6 hours. My dog is elderly and I wish to reduce stress on him during these things. Very frustrating to have them not call me and especially not admit their problems in not making the call. Pretty basic stuff. Second, the bathing was inadequate, it almost seems like he wasn't bathed at all with severe amount of dander which was literally visible. a powdery like residue on the coat.

I know I could have done much better because I have done so. The manager did contact me but instead of taking responsibility, defended all of the issues with excuses and even suggested using other places and services.no kidding, pretty insulting.they just don't want to deal with an older dog. Terrible customer service. The grooming from the haircut perspective was as usual quite nice and the only reason I gave 2 stars vs 1. I have asked for a refund on bath or a another shot for them to redeem themselves with me waiting. I will update again soon.

Let's start this again! In the spirit of free speech and the facts. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! I bought my sister's dog Print here and he came back as if he was in a fight with a cat. His face was all cut up. Print really is a loving dog but came home scared for his life. He is normally very friendly. I, nor my sister or anyone in our family have ever had issues with having him groomed or him being anywhere or around anyone.

Never gave anyone or a groomer for that matter any issues. Charging as much as you do for a pet to be groomed, they should get the royal treatment, not battle wounds. I love my Print Print (as i do my own dog) and I go above and beyond for my sisters dog so I must tell my experience. The owner of this establishment complained to Yelp with false truths urging yelp to remove my original review stating I did not have first hand knowledge.

My first hand knowledge is my picking up my sisters dog from this place and seeing with my own eyes that he was traumatized. Canine Carousel if you are as good as you say you are, one (or a few negatives reviews based on yelp) should not impact your business. If this establishment were made up of true professionals, you would see my experience for what is was and try to learn from it and do better! This establishment missed the mark and opportunity to be a good community citizen! Negative 5 stars is what you deserve!

I called last week ( sept 4) to make an appointment and spoke to the owner and Tyson my sheltie has been banned indefinitely. Apparently the women is angry about my below review. I speak the truth this place is unethical in all regards. This place is a joke and pet owners should beware of their deceptive. practices. They are only in for profits!95$ for a cut and bath is absurd.

We found another groomer in Ashburn at MUCH lest cost and they did a terrific job on Tyson my sheltie. Stay away from this horrible place! Profits first. Care of dogs is secondary The Herndon location is worse if thats even possible. 126$ for a cut and bath served attitude from the old lady. Did not even call me to tell me Tyson was ready. Came by 3:30 for an update and they were like oh yeah he is ready. This place is incompetent on all levels.

I moved to Ashburn a year ago and have been searching for a fantastic groomer. I finally found one! Canine Carousel is beautiful and clean. The staff is experienced and professional. Best of all my princess looks adorable! I would highly recommend them. *Just had my pups groomed yesterday they look so beautiful I decided to post a yelp review and look! I already have. The staff at Canine Carousel continues to do a fantastic job.

I love canine carousel! Although I live in New York I actually wait until I visit family in Virginia to get my dog groomed. Canine carousel is really the only grooming company that I trust! Blu has had a few bad experiences with groomers in New York but at canine carousel, he feels like he's at home. Chrissy, our groomer, goes above and beyond to accommodate us and blu always leaves looking like a brand new dog.

He recently got the cutest haircut with dog friendly dye. I love coming to canine carousel because they are really knowledgable about dogs. As a first time dog owner, it's really helpful to have a groomer who can give helpful advice--like how often my dog should be groomed, what's the best food, etc. This family owned, business makes my dog feel like he's a part of his family.

I 100% support this business. Also blu always looks amazing (and smells amazing when he is finished at canine carousel). I can't say enough good things about this company. Everyone should bring their dog to any of their locations! They really do care for the dogs that they groom. It's not just a small business but it's truly a community

I dropped my dog Henry off here yesterday and was greeted by the groomer who was very kind. I believe his name was David, and he did THE most wonderful job/groom on my Cavapoo. I'm so happy! This place is amazing!

I've taken my dogs to Canine Carousel multiple times and have been extremely pleased with their overall service. The front desk staff is friendly and professional, it's easy to make and get an appointment within a two week window, and our preferred groomer, Sung, does an incredible job brushing all the knots out of our dogs' fur. They've never looked better than when Sung grooms them. Really appreciate their professionalism and commitment.

The grooming service is so so at best. I feel as I must apologize for showing up as the reception staff always seems to be having bad day. There is no scheduling! Bring your dog in for appointment at 8:00 and lucky to see them before noon. I must admit they did an excellent job at getting me to find another groomer. Good News, there is a new groomer opening in Brambleton.

We always take our dogs here for grooming, but will consider other options. Reason being is because the owner is no longer at the Ashburn location. Now the dogs' fur is cut entirely too short and the scheduling makes no sense. For example, we drop off our dogs at 7:30 AM, which means they are first in. The pick up time is usually after 11:00 AM. You do the math. The time duration is entirely too long. The establishment is okay and might compare to any other groomer.

Worst place to bring your dog, except if you hate your pet. We brought our dog in to be groomed. When she was picked up she was blinking her right eye. It became worse as the day wore on and she then kept her eye closed. It was worse the next day and we immediately took her to the vet where she was diagnosed and treated for a Corneal Ulcer. It's a painful eye injury that takes weeks to heal.

The owners refute their groomer caused the damage, regardless of the fact that our dog was carried from the shop to the car and then carried inside our home. Neither were present at the shop and saw our pet, so they must be clairvoyant. BTW - I have a video of our pet when she arrived home showing her blinking her right eye and contains audio of our conversation about her eye. Repeated conversations with the owners about how our dog's eye was damaged were fruitless.

All we heard from them is that our dog did it to herself or it was caused by a bush or leaf (LOL). At my wife's request, I removed pictures of our dog's damaged eye. It doesn't change our feelings over how badly our dog and we were treated by the owners. Read and take the advice of the many 1-star reviewers on the Web and RUN elsewhere.

Wasn't too impressed We decided to try a place closer to home. Saw the good/bad reviews of canine carousel and thought.why not? Took our lab mix in. Did she look clean? Yes. Did she smell clean.sort of. Do I think they could have done a deeper cleaning and brushed some more hair out? YES. I'd take her back but we think we have a better outcome at the place we've been taking all our dogs to in Chantilly-Pretty Paws.

It is out of the way but she can go 3 weeks w/out smelling like dog. A few days after Canine Carousel, she was back to smelling like dog.and we've been couped up in the house because of the cold weather spells recently.

Sadly, I must rate this place a 1 star. My wife and I brought our 13 week old puppy (small 3 lb maltese) there for his first grooming, but the owner accidentally cut one of his nails too short and caused him to bleed. We understand that accidents happen, but the owner did not disclose that information at the time we picked him up and paid for the services. Instead, she acted like everything went well and as if nothing had happened. Hours later, we noticed that our puppy kept licking the same paw over and over and found that there were lots of dried up blood.

I immediately drove back to the store and demanded a refund. The owner was not there, so the young lady at the desk had to call her. So, I got on the phone with her and at my first request, she denied the refund, but after reminding her that she is a business and that she should do the right thing, THEN she did agree to the refund. I told her it wasn't about the money.it's about the principle.

What we were upset about was that nobody informed us of the mishap and that they tried to get away with it. AGAIN, we understand accidents happen, but we were just so upset that nobody told us. It's really unfortunate too because we DID really like the owner, but after this experience, we will not be returning.

I have taken my "fear dog" Lizzie here for grooming and have not had a problem. She just tends to become almost catatonic when she is in a fearful situation. My other dog Annie has had a bath here before and not a problem but today was a horrific experience for her. Halfway through a meeting I received a message to come and get her because she was pooping and barking.

I left the meeting early and rushed over. The receptionist told me that Annie had pooped on herself and had to be rebathed. When I got her home she had diarrhea for a period of time and then began vomiting. After a couple of hours she finally calmed down. It is my position as a customer that they are responsible for giving her the care she needs but I suspect they stuck her in a crate and told her to shut up. Under normal circumstances she is a friendly cooperative dog. I will no longer use them to take care of my pups

I moved to the area from Los Angeles and am VERY picky about dog groomers. I hadn't been able to find one I liked yet so my Yoshi (an albino Shitzuh) had matted hair. I checked out Canine Carousel before taking Yoshi in, and saw how absolutely cute it was! Very clean and well-maintained! I made an appointment and I am BEYOND PLEASED with the haircut they have my little Yoshi! All his matted hair is gone and his cut is perfect! The owner, Lil is soooo sweet and amazing at her job! I have found my pet salon! Thanks so much!

Favorite and only dog groomer used in the last 20 yrs. Family owned business makes a big difference with the attention and special care which our pets receive while visiting there. Scheduling very accommodating with 2 locations.

Was extremely happy with this place when it first opened. Then gradually, it went down hill. Their "up charges" have gotten ridiculous. Nobody can afford to pay $80 a month to take their dog to the groomer. Cut it out with the "no pattern fee". Last time I took our dog there, my parents ended up picking him up for us because we were held up at work.

When they arrived, our dog was dripping blood from one of his paws. They cut his nails down so short that he bleed on and off for almost two days. We had to visit the vet just in case. Worst part, the groomer didn't seem remorseful whatsoever and just acted like this was a normal thing for his breed. Well.out of his 10 years, we've never had an issue.

We understand accidents happen, but being rude when responding to your customers about an issue is not the way to handle the situation. On a side note, I have walked in twice now to the groomers in the back complaining about a dog and/or their owner. Leaving my dog at the groomers isn't something I love to do. Most people consider their pets as part of the family. I especially don't like the feeling of leaving my child with people who hate their job. They will no longer be seeing us or getting a referral from us.
