Laura was born at a very young age, started playing with animals immediately after, and never grew out of it. She began training professionally in 1999. Laura was one of the earliest dog trainers to achieve national certification, scoring 98% on her written exam. She is very active in pursuing continuing education and in educating others, speaking regularly at conferences such as ClickerExpo and The Lemonade Conference, and events from midwestern America to Tokyo, Japan.
Canines In Action, Inc. offers pet manners, behavior modification, and more using dog-friendly training techniques anyone can use. We teach appropriate behavior to replace the misbehavior we don't want. The dog learns to make the right choices before engaging in the unwanted behavior! Our convenient dog training offerings provide flexible and personal options for training.
We can assist you and in some cases jumpstart your progress, with the benefit of a skilled handler who already knows how to support and reinforce the behaviors we want, but that is not a replacement for working with the person who is going to be with your dog for the rest of his life. Practicing with your dog is essential to success.

Laura Baugh of Canines in Action is an internationally-known trainer with great knowledge and patience. She works only with positive reinforcement, never punishment, and is very helpful both to pets and their owners. She will come train or address training issues in your home or on your property, which is helpful. We've used her expertise with several of our dogs. Highly recommended.
