Committed Alliance to Strays, otherwise known as C.A.T.S., has been helping cats in Jackson County, Oregon since 1990. Three compassionate women noticed the problem our area has with stray cats and decided to do something about it. C.A.T.S. was created! After being housed in two different barns, a trailer and a volunteer's garage, a generous donor bought the land and building where we now reside.Many years later another donor paid to have our current Intake Building constructed. To decrease the number of stray and abandoned cats in Jackson County, Oregon by rescuing, testing, vaccinating, neutering and providing shelter for homeless cats awaiting adoption.

Please view our available cats below and also visit our shelter as cats are always being admitted and might not be posted on our site yet. All of our cats have been vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped. Please visit our Adoption Details page for the many other services we provide to our cats before they are adopted.
He or she has been tested for leukemia (cats over 6 months or kittens with a mom are tested for FIV). They have also been vaccinated against feline leukemia, panleukopenia (feline distemper), rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and chlamydia. Understand that we reserve the right to deny the adopting of any cat for any reason in the best interest of the cat.
No matter what your talents, C.A.T.S. has a place for you! Whether you like to work with cats, people or both, we can use your help. Volunteers are needed to switch out cats for run times, do laundry, help with events and, after some training, adopting out cats to their furr-ever homes. If you don't have time to volunteer, donations are always needed and appreciated.
Do you want to help and have an unused room in your house? Fostering my be the answer! Orphaned kittens, mothers with kittens, older cats that are scared and need extra love to transition; all of these situations call for a foster home. Bottle feeding babies takes a lot of work but are a joy to watch grow.

We had a stray cat show up at our house hugely pregnant and in dire need of medical attention, we called several veterinarians in grants pass and rogue river, we called the emergency center in central point, we called both Josephine and Jackson county animal shelters but no one was willing to help us help this cat! Our very last hope was c.a.t.s and they came through for us! Highly recommend

Folks here were so compassionate in helping to provide care for a stray cat that ended up in my live trap. Located it's real owner and got treatment for a wound it received before being trapped. If you want to donate to an animal charity or looking to adopt a car, I highly recommend supporting C.A.T.S.

Absolutely amazing i found a stray cat and could not for the sake of my life find a vet to take in new clients and they took me in and I did this thing called foster to adopt and they just tried there hardest to help me with my kitten if it wasn't for them I'm afraid he would be dead thank you C.A.T.S I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE
