We were devastated when we had to find a temporary home for our cat, Mario. After endless hours of research we landed on Cat's Cottage Inn. Although it was a long drive from our place in Minneapolis it was 1000% worth it. Bonnie was extremely responsive, professional, and caring throughout the entire process. When we arrived we got to tour the adorable, charming, cozy cat building.

Every cat has dedicated rooms with ample space, plenty of hiding, and great windows for entertainment. Mario immediately felt comfortable and loved watching the birds eat away at the bird feeder stationed directly outside his window. He always loved being able to roam outside his room, saying hi to the other cats and playing with the toys provided. Bonnie would post pictures and videos of Mario on her Instagram account and would quickly respond to any texts of us checking in.

When we finally picked Mario up he was in great condition. I cannot thank Bonnie enough for taking such good care of our furbaby and recommend her a hundred times over for anyone needing to temporarily house their cat.

Absolutely loved this place, so easy to book and my cat seemed very happy and content being there. I got daily updates and pictures and it was assuring knowing my cat Kali was being well taken care of. Highly recommend for anyone needing to board their cats.

I had my cat here for about a week, and I got daily updates about her and how she was doing as well as pictures. She well taken care of and seemed to be very happy with her stay at cats cottage. I was fortunate enough to find this place when I had to go out of town. I had to stay an extra day and it was no issue to keep my cat for extra time, I'm so glad my cat was taken care of and made my out of town visit that much more less stressful.

Bonnie very clearly cares about cats and knows how to handle them, and what they like. The rooms are big, and have plenty of beds and high places for cats to sleep on. The price is reasonable, and our three cats were well taken care of during our trip.

When I moved to Minnesota from Nevada, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find cat boarding. I was thrilled to find Cats Cottage Inn. Bonnie, the proprietor, loves cats and is always ready to do her best for her furry guests, from maintaining special diets to administering medications. I trust her implicitly with my kitties and I have no worries when I leave them in her care. She runs a very clean and welcoming establishment and follows COVID-19 guidelines. You can be certain your beloved cats will enjoy a safe, secure and pleasant stay!

I love cat's cottage inn! i live in minneapolis and make the drive out to cat's cottage when i need boarding for my cat for any extended length of time. it's reasonably priced, the facilities are excellent, and my cat is always in good spirits when i pick her up. lots of places out there will board your cat in a small cage, but here your cat gets a whole little room to themselves with a window and space to play. it gives me lots of peace of mind to know that she's getting the best kitty hotel experience when i have to leave her behind when i travel. super trustworthy place, can't sing enough praises.

My husband and I have been taking our Kitty to Cat's Cottage Inn for some years now (as has our Granddaughter) and we couldn't be happier. Cat's Cottage Inn provides excellent care: each cat that stays there gets their own room, plus amenities including cat litter box, food (if you don't bring your own), water, toys, blanket, a shelter to sleep in, etc.

Each cat gets at least an hour a day of playtime in the play room, which is specifically designed for cats with large windows, shelves and platforms on several levels, etc. as shown on the website. Bonnie (AKA the "Cat Lady") understands and obviously loves cats. When our Kitty stays there it is as much of a vacation for her as it is for us! Two things that immediately appealed to us.

Obviously Cat's Cottage Inn has been designed and built to serve cats (and JUST cats.no other critters allowed), AND when you walk in the door it doesn't smell like a cat box! The place, and the rooms, are always neat and clean when we drop off our Kitty. One thing to mention: there are twelve rooms total. Eight of them have outside views (lots of bird feeders to monitor!).

The four inside rooms don't but are just as neat and clean as the rest. The "Rooms with a view" cost a bit more: we always try to contact Bonnie well in advance because rooms seem to fill up pretty fast and the ones with a view seem to go first. Great place!

Actually, all of the above. We have boarded our cats here for about 12 years. We found Cats Cottage Inn because one of our cats was diagnosed with diabetes and had to have insulin shots twice a day. Finally we were able to travel as there was someone to look after him. Our kitties have loved their vacations there, as they are cared for, played with very well loved and looked after. Highly recommend!

Cat's Cottage Inn is the only place my family has taken our two cats over the past 5 years when we go out of town. Even after moving another 30 minutes further away, we still take them there because we know they will be so well taken care of. Bonnie is so kind and flexible, and is great at communicating quickly! I can't imagine taking our cats anywhere else when we are out of town!

Bonnie has always taken great care of our 3 boys. We drop them off 3 or 4 times a year for long weekends or week long stays. She is great about making sure their feeding routines are followed and they get plenty of attention and playtime. Her pictures and videos of our boys while we are gone are highly anticipated and she's been very open to flexible drop off and pick up times when needed. We highly recommend The Cat's Cottage Inn for boarding!

I couldn't be happier with my experience! This place is adorable and located in a quiet area surrounded by corn fields and farms. There are only cats, and the inside of the little building is quiet as well (save for the radio playing for the kitties). Bonnie is attentive and responsive and clearly loves cats. I trusted her. She wanted to know all about what my cats liked and don't like, their routine, etc. and seemed to truly care about them.

The room my babies stayed in was more than large enough for them to sleep and play and not feel caged. They loved the large window with a bird feeder to attract birds for them to watch. And she has a large sunroom for the cats to take turns playing in. She even has little signs printed with the names of the cats posted by the door to their rooms! The only thing I wish was different was the cat hair on the beds in the room.

I wish this was cleaned off from the last occupants. I think this would reduce the stress of cats and eliminate the possibility of disease transfer. This is the only suggestion I have. I won't be going anywhere else for my cats in the future! 10/10 would recommend

I love Bonnie and Cat's Cottage. She takes very good care of my cat Pharaoh when ever we must leave him behind. They are friendly, very clean, and each cat gets his own little room with screens to see what is going on around them. Some of the rooms even have windows looking out at the beautiful country side. Unfortunately our vacation was cancelled this summer because the boarders to Canada are closed. (Covid) We will miss seeing Bonnie.

Dear fellow cat/kitty lovers! If I could give Cat's Cottage Inn a "10" star rating, I would. I researched the Twin Cities for somewhere that would take great care of our beloved "Miss Kitty" but they all offered "box" type of rooming (like at pet stores) and limited attention. Fortunately, I came upon the Cat's Cottage Inn website and had to go see for myself if this place was as wonderful as it looked in its photos.

Yes it was! We booked two sets of reservations for this past August and again in September. Bonnie, the owner, personally takes care of her guests and meets their needs. The cottage has beautiful, spacious rooms and most of them have windows for your precious to look out. There is a "play room" for the cats to go to also (when it is their turn/time to roam about).

The Cat's Cottage Inn is located about an hour or so (depending upon construction traffic) on Highway 35, south of the cities in the beautiful rolling hills of New Richland, MN. It is worth the short drive; we would definitely go back again.

If you're looking for a wonderful place to take your sweet kitty when you can't find a sitter, this is the place. I had just moved to the Minneapolis area and already had a vacation scheduled. I had no one to stay with my little man so I did some research online and found Bonnie and the Cat's Cottage Inn. Her lovely place is in the country surrounded by trees.

She has rooms for the kitties and not cages which is wonderful. It's a little over an hour drive from where I live but it's worth it for piece of mind. Bonnie met me first thing and let me bring my kitty in and get him all situated in his nice room with a window where he could watch birds and rabbits which is his favorite thing to do. I already felt comfortable leaving him. She's a wonderful person.

You can tell she loves animals. I missed my kitty while I was gone. But I definitely didn't worry about him. When we went to pick him up he was ready to come home but he looked good and was a happy kitty. I wish there were more places like this for boarding all over. I move around a lot and can't always find a nice place to board my kitty. I will definitely call Bonnie again when I need somewhere to take Briggs. You should too.

High-quality care from a lady who just really loves cats. :) We took our two furbabies here when we went on a two-week trip to Europe, as it would have been much too long to leave them alone with only someone to stop in once a day. Bonnie was great to work with; very friendly, amiable, and loved Henry and Emmett like they were her own cats. The facility is beautifully furnished with individual "hotel rooms" for the cats - you can board them alone or in pairs/groups (there are bigger rooms for boarding more than one cat).

Each room has a window with bird feeders outside for the cats to watch, shelves and hiding places for them to sleep in and climb on, bedding, food and water, and a litter box. Because the rooms are still too small for a cat to spend 100% of his time in, there's also a large playroom with lots of fun toys, shelves and cat towers, windows, etc. where they can go either individually or with their sibling(s) each day.

The care was very attentive and professional. One of our cats requires medicine daily, and Bonnie gave it to him without issue. It's a little pricey, but I think care of this quality is worth it. Really our only complaint was that the drive from Minneapolis was so far that it was hard to transport our cats, one of whom HATES car rides. If you have a cat who is terrified of cars/being kennelled, like ours is, you may want to look into options closer to home or even ask your vet about a sedative to make sure they nap the whole way.

What a great experience. We boarded our two cats here while selling our house and Bonnie was so wonderful to work with. She takes great care of the cats and really cares about them. She updated me regularly with photos and stories. After a fairly long stay here the cats looked healthy and happy. Really an outstanding facility. I would give 6 stars if possible.

This is the very best place to board your cat(s) if your cat(s) are part of your family like ours are. Bonnie is very loving and gives our 3 furry babies lots of play time and attention. I never worry that they are sitting in a small crate all day with "15" minutes of play time or that they will be let out into the play room with a "group" of unfamiliar cats. Bonnie also posts plenty of photos/videos online so we can see how everyone is doing. I would highly recommend boarding your cat(s) with Cat's Cottage Inn.

This was a great find; we were leaving for an overseas vacation and looking for a new place to board our cat. The facilities are the finest we've seen, the building has a great set up that gives each cat a small room with great light and a large play area. It's super clean and Bonnie is very attentive to both the cats and the owners. Will definitely board here again and would highly recommend it to anyone.
