At the Cat's Meow, we help cats and the people who love them. Our programs include our unique cage-free adoption center where we shelter homeless cats until they find loving homes, free spay/neuter for cats in our community, a free cat food and litter pantry and an indoor/outdoor sanctuary for feral cats. We're a special kind of shelter. Cats live in open, light-filled living rooms -- they lounge together on futons and soak up the sun in screened outdoor catios while they wait for a home to call their own.

A wonderful little rescue! The cats are in spacious rooms with plenty of enrichment. I appreciate that they make sure adopters meet certain criteria. They obviously care very much about the well-being of their rescues!

We visited in May of this year 2021. Michelle's awesome, the kitties are amazing, the feral enclosure is incredible. The only downer was the strong smell of kitty urine in the house. We have 6 cats so we get it. But it is a put off for prospective adopters.

I have a special needs Cat recently I went through cancer treatmentand was really struggling. Michele at The Cats Meow has been such a blessing. Helping me with special food and supplements and even helping me monitor his weight and health. When you visit The Cats Meow it is like walking into your house but all the residents are Cats. They have taken the time to get to know each cat individually and all their special needs and Personalities & stories.

You can really see that they invest so much love into each cat. They have an outdoor area is so neat a real kitty paradise. I love to go on a walk and stop there and see all the residents. Myself and my fur baby Hank give them the highest ratings and would recommend them to ANYONE

By far the WORST experience I've ever had the disadvantage of participating in. We took all appropriate avenues for adoption including, the email questionnaire, scheduled meeting and face to face interaction. All just to be belittled and told that being young was a reason as to why we could not adopt? Upon arrival we were rushed inside and told it had to be very quick as she had another appointment (mind you so did we).

We then went over the exact email that was sent to Michele that she herself validated that she had read. Stating current living conditions, career, expectations, etc. During which she stated that we didn't match the requirements which we understood until she started stating that "young people" just adopt without thinking blah blah blah (Again mind you we are 28).

The problem with all this was it was all sent via email to Michele stating EXACTLY what was said to her face to face. She didn't send an email back saying we didn't qualify but instead set an appointment for us to go in and be criticized. We drove from out of town to be rushed in and told to leave when we confronted her about her already knowing the mandated information.

The total lack of hospitality whilst at work baffled my friend, wife and myself. Never again will I even consider this so called establishment. I just hope they treat the poor souls within their walls with better care than what was shown to us in less than ten minutes time.

Never have i been so blatantly discriminated against in my life. The customer service was distasteful. I was encouraged by the confirmation email that I was qualified to adopt an animal only to be denied within 10 minutes of meeting Michele. I can only assume that my youthful apperance was the deciding factor. I went to the cats meow looking for a friend and companion to love and cherish.

I have owned pets in the past and love each of them as much as I would a sibling or a friend. I pre answered the required questions and instead of being denied through email. I had to drive 40 minutes to be publically humiliated in person. Why a subtle "you do not qualify" email wasnt sent I have no idea. Instead I left feeling personally attacked and threatened. Recommend WAIF a million times over Micheles behavior.

I absolutely love this place! The Cat's Meow really takes the time to educate, and let adopters know what is expected of them as potential new kitty owners. I have gone in several times to play with the cats and kittens to get familiar with their personalities so I can adopt one that is best suited for me. The staff is so nice, easy going, very helpful, and patient not only with me, but with their kitties as well.

It warms my heart to see such a wonderful place. The Cat's Meow is hands down the best place to go. They really take their time to make sure a kitty is matched with the perfect person, and that they are able to give the kitties the right kind of love and attention.

The Cats Meow is an amazing place. Recently some neighbors moved away and abandoned their cats. I brought them into the Cats Meow and Michele found wonderful homes for them. She is an amazing women. I definitely will be going to the Cats Meow the next time I adopt!

I was able to adopt my kitty I had to surrender 8 months ago. The Cat's Meow is very clean, the staff seem to enjoy their jobs because they treat each cat like a family member. I was surprised my Curious George was still there. I am pleased to have him with me again. Thank you.

We got a wonderful kitty from The Cats Meow. The kitty had been very well-socialized and he is an absolute delight: personable, friendly, non-aggressive, friendly to other animals, sweet-natured, intelligent. The facility is nice. Instead of cages, the cats get to roam a home environment.

I adopted a kitty from here about a month ago. I was very impressed with this adoption center. It is unlike any other. It is a very friendly and happy environment. All of the kitties are extremely happy and well cared for, and you could tell how much Michele cared for every one of them. There are so many amazing kitties that I would love to take them all!

I would highly recommend adopting from here, I have nothing but great things to say about it. I really appreciate how they call and check in after a couple weeks to make sure everything is going well with your new kitty. If you are looking for your new best kitty friend, I would highly recommend checking this adoption center out, you won't regret it!
