Update to my original review. June 24. 2022 I came to bid farewell to my beloved boy. The staff was every compassionate to me and my big boy. It's been 12 years of coming here for my boy and I. Their prices are not inflated like some of these other vet's for the same type of service. You can make an appointment and they do welcome walk in. I have been coming here for 10 years. The Dr's here saved my dogs life from parvo. The staff is really nice and they remember your pet by name.

I was looking for a last minute (walk-in) appointment for my dog who recently developed a cough. Our regular vet didn't have availability for weeks. Center-Sinai was able to see us after a not-too-long wait, and took excellent care of my girl! Ruby was also able to get her nails trimmed. Win, win!

AAARGH! Early morning dog problems! Surgery for growth on ear, sadly. Instead of buying pretty trinkets, I get to pay for my dogs and cats, but I'm happy that they are well taken care of by Dr. Baum and his team! Also Dr. Williams, who is the surgeon today for my silly pup, who was begging the other owners to take her away from the pet hospital. This dog will make me cross Venice when she sees the pink building! Dr. Baum is great! Deals with us neurotics patiently.

I don't know how he does it. He emails me when I am worried, " this cat can't meow anymore!" type of stuff. I made my patients wait for long times for more urgent cases, and now I get to do the same. :)) The long phone response times are over and were a result of Covid. The computer forms are glitch-y and I prefer doing the paper ones at the office if the visit is for surgery or grooming. They take urgent visits and clear the cost of treatment with you beforehand. I'm always secure as far as my pets' welfare and that is the best thing!

Great care for our two dogs. Been going here for years. Friendly staff. Doesn't do surgery but regular care is great.

I absolutely recommend Center Sinai to care for and groom your doggie. I know several people who take their dog here and they all love it too. Dr. Baum has a genuine gift to calm down my anxious dog who has a history of abuse and typically doesn't trust men he doesn't know. Dr. Baum is always so sweet with him and very knowledgeable educating me on the best care I can give.

Everyone working here that I've encountered is very kind and refers to my dog as my "baby" which is very sweet. It's clear they all have a true love for animals. I truly trust this place.

Worst vet. Never go there. I arrived for a drop in because my dog was having an allergic reaction, told them i would wait outside, and when they called me I was told that my problem was not an emergency, and they made me wait two and a half hours to see a vet. Staff is rude, has attitude, and lie about wait times. Never go there.

If you can go somewhere else, DO IT. I used to come here with our dogs, but the front of house at this place is terrible. Who ever is managing how the check in process works is the problem. I've seen people at the desk be so rude to customers who are just confused by how it works. I now only bring the dogs we foster here, and even that is becoming a problem. I've been here like ten times in the past two years and each time it gets worse.

Find another vet if you can. The vets are fine when you finally get to interact with them, and all the people that help you in the back are nice, it's really just the disorganization and attitude of some of the people that work the front desk that is the reason I'm looking for a new vet. It's that bad.

They overcharged me twice as much as what the vca would have charged me and this is with a voucher. They never told me how much it was going to be and then they hit me with a huge bill. When I asked to have the bill itemized, the most expensive charge was barely explained to me. When I explained the situation it was met with apathy and the usual "We understand but". I'll just go to the VCA I from now on I guess

Center-Sinai has cared for my family's pets for decades, thru surgeries and finals calls. In today's world of veterinary shortages, with many practices not taking new clients, C-S takes appointments and accepts walk-ins. Yes, you may have to wait but at least your pet will receive treatment. Staff veterinarians, Drs. Baum, Gamez, and Williams, are skilled, knowledgeable and personable.

As stated, Center-Sinai offers great care and many services, and at a good value. I no longer live as close by as before, but I'll fight thru the traffic to get there. Attached photo is the current family pet that C-S cares for, 9 month old Luna, Bichon Frise, a clever and sometimes mischievous girl! Larry Tritle, Los Angeles

Loved it! It was my first time here. We brought our dog recommended from Petco for grooming. Every where else that we took her they said they couldn't groom her because of her matted hair. Mark was really nice over the phone and in person. He was attentive, informative and patient as well. 10/10 will definitely sent him referrals.

This place is HORRIBLE. I adopted my dog from Petfect Pet Rescue (which operates out of the same building) so it seemed like a good idea to continue seeing the vet on site. We have been going to CSPH for the last 4 years, so this review reflects our overall experience and not just 1 visit. First, the staff is incredibly rude. They are obviously overworked and underpaid, which gives them the idea that they can treat the patients and their owners like crap.

There have been several times (pre- and post-pandemic) where I have waited on hold for more than 20 minutes only to finally be answered by an exasperated, short-tempered person who is unable to have any sort of professional compassion. Second, the system they have in place to facilitate appointments and the needs of their clients may seem modern, but regardless, it sucks.

I had made an appointment through the system (and even chatted with the staff *bot* on the other end) only to walk in and learn that my appointment had never been recorded. The real life person who saw me never apologized or offered a solution. The services and care that this clinic offers are by far sub-par compared to what they charge. After 4 years, I will no longer be returning to this location.

I would rather go through the hassle of finding a new vet than deal with such arrogance and ignorance again. Lastly, and I realize this is incredibly shallow, but paint the freaking building another color besides "Pathetic Lilac". With all the money you guys charge, buy a couple gallons of paint, take the bars off the windows and give your lack-luster building an upgrade. It's pretty obvious that none of you care about your business when the outside of your establishment looks like an open sore of hot garbage.

Ok so sometimes the wait sucks but I pretty sure it's from the fact that everyone and I mean everyone loves this place for it's great medical care. Sure the nurses and admin staff can be a bit stiff or hard to talk to but like any active medical center they are overworked and doing their best to make things work. Dr. B is amazing, as for their other doctors I've had good experiences with them as well. Biggest reason I don't give them 5 stars is because of the inconveniences I've had there but I've never given a medical center more than three.

I'm not sure when this establishment started to go downwards? The staff used to be very nice and accommodating. The vets used to be knowledgeable, understandable, and helpful. Now, all I get is attitude after 11 years of loyalty, 4 animals, and a ton of referrals, including all my extended family.

Visited Center-Sinai today for the first time, I was referred by my friend. This visit has been the best experience I've ever had with staff and Dr. Williams was awesome. Everyone was welcoming and the environment felt warm and caring. In past visits to other animal hospitals I haven't had luck with such cool people. I highly recommend visiting and taking your pet. Prices were reasonable and there was no price gouging. I'll be taking my pet here from now on. Thanks Center-Sinai.

My 12 year old shepherd mix was diagnosed with cancer just before we left home for three months in LA. She became quickly worse, not eating (even hamburger) and developed trouble standing and walking. So here we were far from home without our usual support. After trying several vets who had no available appointments I found Center Sinai and got an appointment there.

Even though they were very busy the staff was able to get my dog into x-ray and seen by a vet in a short time Dr. Matthews was very understanding and caring with my pup, and patient with me, and made the decision to end her suffering one that left me with no regrets. I highly recommend her and the practice.

Took our little "Firulais" in for teeth cleaning and nail trim. The follow up calls and texts were appreciated. He was back to his normal self in a day.

I have brought my pets here for many years and am very pleased with the center. Dr. Williams is my vet and I think she is amazing-very caring and compassionate. The front office staff and the Manager have always been helpful and courteous. All the Techs I have had were very loving.

I initially had liked this place a lot with high hopes. I potentially think the vets are good and the calls have not experienced a long wait time. Appointments are the way to go. I am now rethinking my view, as my previous visits were lacking. The initial visits of my two new kittens were okay for a checkup and deworming. I was expecting more than just being told my healthy cats were fine and healthy, paying $65 for the visit only.

I wasn't told the age or breed of the cats at all just a recommendation of a rabies vaccine and weight. I bring my male cat in a few months later after this visit as they are booked full for a neutering. I think things are paid with a state voucher and they tell me after the procedure it costs $14 for the cone and the procedure is completed, the cat already has a cone. It's two days post op and I get a check in message for my cat.

I genuinely thought and felt appreciated that they would check in so early! The recommended recovery of the cat is 7-14 days. If that counts as a follow up appointment I'm sorely disappointed. My cat surprises me with discharge and some bleeding 8 days after operation while being a good kitty and sleeping, laying down and wearing his cone all day/all night and isolating from the other cat.

I call and inquire regarding this unusual discharge. They tell me he could've gotten to his wound which was away but in the vicinity of his weird discharging and now swelling injury. Bring him in. This time I ask to be sure. is there any charges to bring him? It'll be $65. How wonderful. no follow up appointment included after a surgical procedure to correct anything that may need to be addressed or fixed.

Now I have to do a walk in and be charged to see the doctor, have potentially new charges while having a useless $14 cone on him if he somehow got to the wound after laying down and being relaxed. I watched him 24/7 for the first five days btw. Just consider your visits here and at your discretion see if it's worthwhile!

A decade+ of service here! They are a wonderful staff! The last visit was putting my dog to sleep. He loved getting his haircuts here! He would look amazing as a shaved pug! They were very gentle, caring, and understanding by allowing you time to say your goodbyes. Thank you, Center Sinai, for your amazing knowledge of pets and service for all my pets throughout the years.

Rushed appointment, didn't check my dogs temperature, gave me very little advice, I didn't have enough for the tests & my dog died 4-5 days later. My other dog I've returned repeatedly for antibiotics, reoccurring UTI. SHE STILL HAS IT. They didn't give me strong enough antibiotics even after 3 visits. I have to take my dogs to a new Vet because I don't feel they w been very helpful aside from one emergency surgery. I've spent LOTS of money to get no answers. Sorry Center Sinai. you let us down.

Center Sinai Animal Hospital on Venice Bl is about a 10 minute drive from Beverly Hills. This animal hospital happened to be open last Saturday. I called an hour before closing to schedule an appointment for one of my furbaby's vaccination shot to protect against the canine flu pandemic. I made note of the person's name I spoke to, who assured me there was no wait and to come in.

Upon arrival, I was informed the facility was closing and refused me services. The person who informed me earlier to come in, suddenly had amnesia and acted clueless. I was in disbelief at how these clock watching staff were so eager to clock out, nearly an hour before closing. This facility looked very low rent and divey for an animal medical facility.

So glad we didn't stay for any treatments here. Should have read the horrible reviews posted, which I have no doubt appropriately rated 1 star this place deserves. I will Ditto that. Solid No.

The DMV of vet offices. The WORST possible experience you could have at a vet. - Terrible service - Disorganized - Wait hours are insane (currently here and im going on my 7th hour of wait!) - Office is old and dirty Your pets are your family they deserve better than this place.

MINUS ZERO STARS. I AM ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED! My dog is being boarded there and I just read a review from 3 days ago about an attack on a small dog and her leg being ripped off! OMFG! I never should have left my dog there. And I'm not sure why whenever I take my dog to this vet there seem to be MANY employees working and yet, when I call - as I am doing while I write this updated review - NO ONE answers the phone! (The pics are the journey of my current hold time) Unfortunately, I have to leave him there an extra night because of travel and I'm PRAYING that I get my dog home safe, sound, and without incident while in their care!

All I'm trying to do is get through to tell them about the extra night and to cancel the bath I scheduled - because he has sores on his tail and I don't trust that they'll handle it with care during the bath. A dog's leg got ripped off by a larger dog for chrissakes! They'll likely give a damn about being gentle with my pup's sore tail. Light!

WARNING! NO REGARD FOR PETS LIVES OR WELLBEING! My dog was the victim of a very aggressive attack while being boarded at Center Sinai Animal Hospital. We have been patrons of this vet for over seven years, with our three dogs. That has changed. I recommend researching your veterinary/boarding facility before taking your loved ones to Center Sinai.

We were out of town when I got a horrifying call from the doctor notifying me that our dog had just been attacked. Her entire front leg was ripped off by a 60lb Pit Bull while being handled by a kennel technician. They were not sure she was going to survive. Center Sinai delivered Coconut and her limb to City Of Angels for emergency surgery. When you drop off your dogs and go on vacation or work do you ever think that your dogs might not make it home?

This was almost our situation. Our dog went through a traumatic surgery and luckily survived, now as a three legged dog. She is still recovering but this entire situation should have never happened. It could have been avoided if Center Sinai had properly trained employees handling large aggressive dogs. Center Sinai said they are responsible for what happened, but nothing further will come of this.

The Pit Bull owner was required to pick up their dog. No action has been taken against the owner of the Pit Bull for the attack. There is no documentation that a formal report to the County has been made. The Pit Bull owner and Center Sinai need to be put on notice. Dog on Dog attacks should not be happening in a controlled and professional environment.

I am incredibly frustrated that after a phone call from Center Sinai's insurance provider they blame my dog for having her leg out of the protected kennel and not Dr Baum's employee who was handling the leashed Pit Bull. I would be very cautious before EVER going to Center Sinai to drop off your pet for any service as they may never come home.

I made a trip to Center Sinai Animal Hospital this Monday with my dog. We had an appointment. My dog wasn't seen until a little over an hour after checking in. My vet visit went well, but I thought overall service could have been more speedier and my experience more pleasant. There were some things I noticed in the lobby that me feel uneasy. The lobby was crowded with people and their pets.

A staff member told one person that they had a lot of walk ins at the time. There was a paper sign that was posted in the lobby that said the wait time for walk ins could be up to 3 hours. Some people were agitated waiting and vocalized their frustrations with the front desk staff. I personally think there were too many people present and not enough staff on hand to provide service.

I also noticed while waiting in the lobby that the floor was a bit dirty with some dry fecal matter, which I found a bit disturbing. Although my experience this Monday at the hospital could have been better, I will say that I have been mostly satisfied with my previous experiences at the hospital. If anything, I really think the hospital could benefit from expanding their property and having more staff on hand. Despite my concerns, I plan to continue using their services going forward.

This hospital is extremely unorganized. They don't communicate well with each other or to the owners. They told me they would call me to pick up my dog and towards the end of the day there was still no call. After calling almost 15 times, somebody told me he was ready hours ago and that they're about to close but that they would stay longer until I arrived as if that was a favor.

My other dog had a major surgery and nobody told us to clean his wound so as a result there was a dirt build up. I also requested for his nails to be clipped and they completely disregarded that part. Be extremely vigilant if you decide to take your pet here!
