We started taking our german shepherd puppy to Jim a few months ago and he has been nothing short of amazing. His knowledge of dogs, attention to detail, and wealth of experience in the dog training industry has completely transformed our puppy into everything we have dreamed of. His behavioral training made our highly defensive pup into a dog we can trust with anyone around.

His obedience training style makes it fun for the puppy to listen to commands and I love seeing how eager my pup is to listen now. I cannot say enough about Jim at Cook K9s! I have a Pitbull named Oso that has been dealing with severe anxiety and aggression his whole life. I decided to make the call to Jim and ask him for help, and right away I could tell I contacted the right person. I just finished up my second training session with Jim, and I am AMAZED! In the past, Oso would never be okay with a stranger being in the house and not only is Oso taking commands and treats from Jim, but he is rubbing up to Jim and begging for some loving! Jim takes his time communicating to you as the owner what you need to do to be a successful dog owner and I can already tell from only 2 sessions that my dog respects me and listens to me 10x more than he had before.

Our puppy, Tank, has been showing aggression towards strangers and our girl, Athena, has problems with anxiety. We just had our second session with Jim and we've had a pretty dramatic jump in both dogs. 5 minutes in Tank was taking treats gently from Jim's hand, and very quickly in Athena's session she was laying down instead of running laps of the living room! I can't recommend Jim and Cool K9's enough!

Jim is AMAZING! Our pup Kaia has always been extremely leash reactive towards other dogs, and we've tried a handful of other trainers prior to Jim. None of them were a good fit and we didn't see any improvement, but after the very first training session with Jim I had so much hope for Kaia! Jim is incredibly knowledgeable, and he explains and provides reasoning for everything he does.

And it WORKS! I really was amazed with how quickly he got Kaia dialed in and for the first time I am confident we will finally be able to take her for walks and hikes without the meltdowns we've always experienced. Jim is super friendly and makes the training fun while still getting to the point. I would recommend him to friends, family, strangers, everyone! We are so appreciative of everything he's done for us.

This is by far the most fun and useful dog training I have done. I have had other working dogs in the past and Jim does a great job teaching! Its always a great time and I always learn a-lot. My dog was a rescue and she is now my service dog. Jim has gone above and beyond and has even worked with my son to teach him. Great training great people! I give out his contact info every time I see a person who might need help with their dog.

I honestly wasn't sure taking my dog to get training but I'm so glad I did. Jim was recommended by someone very dear to me. He changed my dog for the better. When we started I couldn't even walk my dog and now I can walk him with one hand or even just fingers. He saved me and my dog. I've learned so much from him as well as my dog has. We will definitely be back for more advanced training. thank you Jim you are an incredible person and trainer.

If you want magic done with your dog Jim is your man. There are not enough words to explain how grateful we are for his services. We were on the brink of rehoming our very stubborn bullmastiff who had a mind of his own. After only 4 sessions with Jim we have a completely different dog that we are no longer worried about having to rehome. Previously he would not listen to us and very dog aggressive. We now have the knowledge and tools that we need to mold him into the amazing dog we know he can be. Worth every dollar.

I was honestly a bit skeptical after my first session with Jim. I should talk less and listen more. We have done other types of training in the past but the training that Jim teaches has worked for both my stubborn 5 year old male (who was fairly well trained with some bad quirks) who I figured was set in his ways and an 10 month old girl and a 4 mouth old. Reguarding Harley some basic changes in his behavior after 2 lessons, giving the ball back without a fight, listening more often on the first time without raising my voice and though he has never been great on a leash in a pack I always off leash walked them that way I had to leash up 3 yesterday including to puppies and walk with them, No tugging no pulling excellent behavior despite not ideal circumstances. If you don't learn something working with Jim you really need to look in the mirror and ask yourself what you could do better and get back to work.

If I hadn't of seen it with my own eyes, I might not have believed it! The progress Jim made with my dog literally in 15-30 minutes was amazing, and waaaay beyond my expectations. The man definitely has a way with dogs. He knows his stuff. He not only knows the 'what to', he knows the why to. He taught ME so much! I was really not sure Sailor and I could have a working relationship.

I wasn't sure some of the problems could be overcome. I left the first session with not just hope, but with techniques, understanding, and confidence. I'm not kidding, whatever issues or needs you have with your dog (s), Cool K9's will handle it ( with humor, laughs, positive methods and feedback). I'm including pictures because you'll never believe how amazing it is that Sailor got this comfortable and this close to Jim in the first half of the lesson! Sailor and I are looking forward to the next one.

I have worked with Jim for the last 7 months getting my dog to where I want him. He is really one of the best trainers I have ever worked with. I love how he wants to train with excitement and everything is happy. (Weird at first but the finished product is far superior than strict training!) I was really impressed with his ability to read my dog knowing and explaining the things he sees in my dog. His prices are one of the lowest around but the experience and knowledge is far superior! I'm just glad that I took a chance.
