Great place to find a puppy $$$$. Some of their shelved items had heavy dust build up and the staff could be trained. Overall it's a decent pet store and I would use this location again.

I have been to this location several times and have loved seeing the puppies and the other animals they have. However, today when I came in I was rather shocked at how dirty the puppy pins where. There were live crickets in the pins with the puppies. I counted at least ten crickets. There were dead crickets in the water bowels, and the material in which the puppies are in (appears to be some sort of grain material) was also in the water and food bowls.

This really made me sad for the puppies. it seems like the workers are not taking the time to make sure the puppies needs are met. and they are not keeping the pins clean. As for the crickets, I assume these are crickets that are meant for the reptiles. and that crickets get loose often. however, dead crickets in the animals water dishes is unacceptable.

Super friendly employees! All of the employees knew what they were talking about and were very helpful. Great selection of reptiles and all animals to be honest. Very clean environment. When I mentioned the puppies had pooped in one of the bins they were fast to clean it up. Very cool store can't come to see what they have in stock next time.

The puppies are so adorable! This is a nice place to go to if you want to play with puppies or if you are considering adopting one. They seem to have a fast turnaround, so if you see a dog you love, put a hold on it! Just like any other pet store, it can be a bit smelly and dirty (especially since you can hold and walk certain dogs in the store). That notwithstanding, the dogs seem to be healthy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. *NOTE: It's clearly posted that everyone who wants to hold or pet a dog needs to first wash their hands, and needs to do so between each litter as well. Also, some dogs are not meant to be pet at the moment, so please read the signs* I only point this out because I've noticed many people can't or don't want to follow the very clear signs.

One of my favorite pet stores. Lot's of great products for your pet's. It's also a great place to look at, hold and buy puppies. There are other animals as well that you can hold and or touch. Sometimes they even have kittens. If you just need a place to make you smile this is a great place to go. Puppies always brings smiles.

Love taking my kiddo to see animals. They allow us to walk some of the animals. Although I grew up afraid of dogs, this place has helped me to make sure my kiddo is not afraid.

I purchased a Shih-poo from them last month and was told he had a parasite that was treated when I picked him up. I was also assured about if he became sick I could take him to any vet in the next 30 days and they would pay the bill. The staff showed me the 30 day guarantee in writing about reimbursement. I picked up my dog and found out after driving 45 minutes home that they forgot to give me the rest of his medication.

He wasn't better yet and I needed to come back and get it. My dog had terrible diarrhea every 1-2 hours for three weeks! Turns out they gave me reworming meds, not parasite meds so I had to go back to the store again and get the right meds. When right meds didn't work, I took him to the vet to find out he still has the first parasite and they did a fecal test and found a second parasite. (He never was outside or in the grass, so he got these at the store.) After two more rounds of treatment and tests with my vet he was better.

I take the paperwork in for reimbursement only to be told for the first time that I could only use their vet and they will only reimburse half my treatment and testing costs. $61.00 instead of $122. (I paid for the visit vet myself.) I show them the paper work and 30 day guarantee and told them that their employee said I could take him anywhere and it says nothing in the 30 day guarantee about using their vet.

They acknowledged this wasnt the first time their employees told people the wrong thing but said if you read another section, which is hidden on the back and not a part of the section on the 30 day guarantee it apparently says to use their vet so they won't honor what I was told. Why put the requirements within a different section and page of the contract that it applied to?

Of course I'm not going to look for it when the employee showed me the section on the guarantee and told me I could take the sod anywhere for reimbursement. They have lost a customer now over $61! Don't buy a dog here from owners that clearly just want to sell you sick dogs and trick you so they don't have to pay for their treatment.

Stopped in today to buy treats for my dogs. I was so sad and disheartened to see dogs for sale in the store! When we walked past the enclosures, the sweet lab didn't even look up and her/his behavior was extremely lethargic to the point that I wonder if he/she was dehydrated. There are so many pets being euthanized every single day and breeders are part of the problem! I was so disappointed to see that Critter Cabana was contributing to the problem-we put the items back on the shelf and left without purchasing anything.

Called to get my 2 dogs nails trimmed 4 times in 6 days and was told my 80 lb. black lab was too big. Waste of time.

Such a cute, fun, clean place to go! So happy to have them! Look for their cute tortoise roaming the store! You must get permission to pass.

We were searched breeders and went looking for the right pup for months when we stopped in and found him at Critter Cabana. Great folks in there helping out with lots of good suggestions and detailed info about the pups. The young lady that helped us even held the basket while we searched for the right food and treats and a few toys. It just felt like they really cared for the animals. Now Oliver is home and happy. Big thanks to the folks at CB for their caring and professional behavior!

We have two small dogs. For four years, we've tried many groomers, and we've always been disappointed. until now. Shannon did an outstanding job grooming our two dogs. We couldn't be happier. We've found our groomer! What a relief!

It is a bit overwhelming there is almost always a crowd of people holding the puppies and I can only imagine how the animals and staff feel. There isn't enough supervision over the animals and or guest. But it's a great opportunity to teach and expose children or anyone to animals and information. The staff was patient and very informative. I would visit again.

This store was my go-to pet supply for many years. I have purchased reptile supplies and live food, as well as dog, cat, and fish supplies. In the past year the service has gotten so bad I simply dread going to the store. The staff used to be attentive and help me gather whatever I needed from the store - now they won't tell me if they have products in stock or when they will be expected back in stock.

The cleanliness of the store has also declined dramatically, bordering on unhealthy. I have been treated so rudely by the staff that I am now on the defensive when I enter the store. If this place doesn't change soon, they will be out of business - they have already lost mine.

I was heartbroken to see the way this business treats its rabbits (this is my area of pet experience, I cannot authoritatively speak to the care of other creatures there so I won't.) First, the rabbit habitats were not situated with proper food. The food in the cage was primarily pellets with a little hay. This needs to be reversed. Rabbits need 80-90% of their diets to be fresh hay.

This is because their stomachs require roughage to keep moving. Too little hay means GI Statis, which is often fatal. Second, the rabbits were in open-top containers and not given a safe place to hide. Rabbits are sensitive creatures, easily overwhelmed, and deserve a place to hide if they want to be left alone. Particularly upsetting: there was a very small, baby rabbit in an open container, where little children could reach in and grab it.

It had absolutely nowhere to hide, so it was sitting in a corner, breathing heavily and looking very stressed. A rabbit that small and delicate should ABSOLUTELY not be picked up and held by just anyone, but kids were reaching into the cage to touch and grab it. Rabbits have very delicate spines, another reason to be concerned about the baby being handled by children and those that don't know how to hold them.

My hope is that this feedback makes it to management so the rabbit environment/care can change. Rabbit Advocates in PDX is a wonderful rescue group and I am sure they would be more than happy to provide advice. Heck, I'm sure a quick google search would improve conditions. Critter Cabana management: PLEASE, do your research on rabbit care basics. There's a reason rabbits only live for 2-3 years with poor diet and high-stress care like this, and why they live 10+ years when cared for by someone who actually understands them.

Avoid Critter Cabana pet store in Newberg Or. they have adorable AKC puppies in the in the store that should be with other dogs and people being socialized. This is a sad thing that these dogs are being raised in cages in a store. They are not being socialized. they are learning to pee and poop where they sleep (there is a lot of poop in this store window.) this will affect them for ever. Shame to breeders who sell to stores. #crittercabana

We pulled into Newberg on our way to the coast and I was SO excited to see a pet store on the street where we parked. We headed straight for Critter Cabana to get our dogs some treats and then we saw the poor little boxer pup in the window, staring out into space, sitting on bark chips. We were horrified. Hasn't this "puppy in the window" mistreatment been outlawed yet?

We spun on our heels and refused to go in. DISGUSTING, disappointed and despicable. If they cared about animals at ALL they wouldn't treat them this way. Boycott this place, until they change their outdated, inhumane ways.

This use to be where I would take my pups to get nails done but, after three no shows by groomers its a NO GO! I even called to confirm yesterday the schedule and was told they were in at 10, showed up and no groomer. Very unprofessional. I will not go back again.

Sick sick sick. How can you, with any conscience, sell these puppies like this for this amount of money. You are GREEDY spawns of SATAN. This is sickening on every level. Shame on these backyard breeders as well. clearly you care only about money!'. No animal lover could ever do this. They have put this precious dog in an aquarium! I am appalled as should any human being that enters this disgusting establishment. Oregon! Shut this down! I wish I knew how to post with ZERO stars.

They leave their dogs outside in the tiny store window over night in unsanitary conditions, stores like this should not exist anymore.it's animal abuse!

This store is amazing. I live 40 minutes away but I'll make the drive. Be sure to ask for Brandon for any reptile questions, he knows his business.

Our family has been regulars at Critter Cabana since we moved here. Our Bulldog was always extra spoiled when he get dropped off for grooming. As the years have passed we've added a couple of critters to our home and most recently adopted our 2nd puppy. The crew is always extremely kind and helpful with any questions or help we've needed.

They remember all our fur and reptile babies names and we love bringing out of town guest to visit. I couldn't tell you how many rainy Saturdays we spend holding puppies and on Costco day we make sure we hit up the Wilsonville location as well! They care about their animals and it absolutely shows. If you happen to be in town, check it out! Such a fun place.just be prepared to walk out with a critter!

Sold me 1600 dollar black lab that cannot be house trained, bit my 6 year old daughter and they refuse to buy back at any price or provide any guarantee. Plus had bad experiences trying to get dog grooming appointments they lack proper staffing and management.

Critter Cabana is definitely my favorite pet store to go to. Not only do they have a large variety of pets, they also have all the supplies necessary to own one. Staff is always available if you have any questions, and their knowledge on animals is very high. I adopted a veiled chameleon from Critter Cabana three weeks ago, they made sure I had all the supplies and knowledge necessary to take care of him.

They make sure the animals are going to a safe environment, which I respect highly. When I adopted my veiled chameleon, he had just gotten over mouth rot disease, and the employees made sure he was healthy enough to go home. Furthermore, Critter Cabana is a very fun place to hangout, a great place to adopt a pet, and a informative place to ask questions.

I highly recommend them. And I am happy to say, my veiled chameleon (Kyto) is completely healthy, and has gained all his weight back from being sick. Thank you Critter Cabana!

For me I like this place because we can pet puppies, cats, rabbits and much more. However I only handle animals there that I know how to handle. This can not be said for all the people that visit this place. We have been there before while a BUNCH of young kids were there and they were handling anything and everything they could get there hands on.

I like what the store is trying to do but I just wish they would have staff UPSTAIRS watching. The store has a good stock of foods, toys, and supplies for all animals. The cost however is pretty expensive.
