My first recollection of dogs is from around five years old and sharing my sand box with a litter of collie puppies that my father had bred. He bred collies and beagles so dogs were always a part of my life. There was always a dog in the household and my mom wouldn't tolerate one that wasn't well behaved so of course my dad and I took to training.

Went in for an evaluation for daycare. While doing paper work my dog was barking and up on his hind legs looking around in the 4x4 area for new animal intake. The owner goes over grabs my dogs by the collar and throws him on the concrete floor not once but 3 times. Not an exaggeration when I say thrown to the floor. This lady is crazy and should not be anywhere near animals. Needless to say I took him out of there immediately. If you love your animal do not even consider this place. Wish I could give it less than one star

My dogs spent two days at the day care program and the damage to their confidence is still evident after several weeks. At pickup time the first day, I noticed staff using water bottles to spray the dogs to deter them from barking and other behaviors, as well as aggressive yelling at the barking dogs when we came in for pickup. They mentioned that my lab had an accident during the day, which was odd because he is fully house-trained but I attributed it to this being a new place and new friends being around.

My Shepherd was nervous at pickup, but she does sometimes take time to warm up to new situations. The following week, they went back for day two. My Shepherd refused to get out of the car on the morning to go in. Eventually though, we were able to convince her to go inside. I should have known something was up then, but again, she gets nervous in new situations.

At pickup time the second day, my lab was wearing a diaper. The staff quickly snatched it off of him and dismissed our questions about it. My goofball lab dragged us to the door and to the car to leave. As they brought my Shepherd out, she was cowering towards staff. I'm not sure what goes on there during the day, but I have never seen my dogs so nervous and frankly terrified.

That weekend, my lab started having significant accidents in the house and both dogs anxiously followed my every move. I had pre-paid for five days and did request a refund for my unused days, however my checks were crashed and I haven't heard from her since. They have since started at a new daycare and are doing exceptionally well.

This is the best thing you can do for your dog. It involves more than just the class time but to lead your dog instead of your dog lead you - it's worth it and doesn't that make sense? Donna is straightforward and tells it like a caring parent. For our pets to get that type of treatment is great. Our English Bulldog Nachobidness is quite the hard case- but even he and us made it thru - because we're not wimps and we see value in the training. Thanks Donna! You are really great - we'll be coming for the Monday night drop in classes to keep on the winning path.

My dog sustained laryngeal paralysis due to suspected trauma which I believe was from use of a spike collar. My dog was 4-5 months at the time when the trainer here excessively corrected him with the spike collar. He needs a procedure to tie back his airway and my lab will never be able to enjoy a swim and will need to be monitored while eating. I wish I could turn back time and never bring my dog here.

We are so grateful for Donna's guidance. She trains you, not your dog. I highly recommend D Tails for any dog owner!

Went to bring in an application for my dog and within the five minutes I was there I witness the workers screaming (not shouting screaming) at their barking dogs to be quiet as well as spraying them numerous times with a water bottle. Along with this behavior the place is a warehouse with dog crates thrown in for "nap time". Needless to say we will not be signing our dog up for daycare and encourage everyone to go to the facilities ahead of time.
