DO NOT take your pet here! In July my husband and I dropped off our lab Friday afternoon for the weekend. Late Friday night we had a family emergency and needed to come home early. We called for multiple hours to let them know we were coming to get our dog that night and never got a response. Once we got back to Lakeland it was a bad thunder and lightning storm, I found my dog alone outside in a kennel wet, shaking, no water or food.

His kennel was unlocked and nobody was home and anyone could have taken my dog. Our dog was traumatized and sick for a few days after we brought him home. I am more disgusted that 3 months later this woman is still harassing us with calls and invoices saying I owe her for one night and a $10 fee for p/u early without notification. I would advise anyone to NEVER bring their pet here!

I contacted Dixie Kennels in need of daycare services for my lab. Carolyn Spradlen the owner didn't provide daycare but helped me find a good daycare in the Lakeland area Thanks, Carolyn!

We picked up our 3 year old black lab Neon after a 4 night stay. He was lethareic and panting. He was emaciated and smelled horrible. He had to be loaded into the car. He did not regonize us. We took him to the emergency vet. They started IV's but he stopped breathing. There was nothing the vet could do. He had a heat stroke. He died at the vets office.

He had lost 16 pounds in 4 days! How was he being looked after, or was he looked at at all. If the kennel operator had called me when something was not right I would have picked up my dog. He did not get in this shape overnight. This was a member if my family and not a hunting dog. Be warned, don't take your inside dog to live in a filthy outside cage. This was my 2 sons first dog. He was supposed to live out his life with my boys. It is hard to watch your children cry. All they had to do was call me. RIP Neon Black.
