No need to worry about your pet while you are at work or on vacation. You are in excellent hands with Dog Camp LA. Our goal is to deliver the personal attention your pets need, when you are unable to. The independent pet professionals in our network offer cat care, private and buddy dog walking/hikes, dog park/playcare/socialization/beach trips, and pet transportation.
Our main office is nestled in the tranquil hills of Silver Lake, California - an extremely dog and cat-friendly community, where we have been a solid fixture since 2000. Unlike other dog walking/pet sitting services in L.A., we are a neighborhood pet professional referral agency that is run by friendly folks with oodles of pet experience.
Dog Camp LA LLC requires that your pets are up-to-date on their vaccinations. Current titers, and holistic doctor's notes are accepted as well. For buddy walks/hikes and playcare/dogpark/socialization/doggie beach day trips your dog(s) must be neutered/spayed and well socialized. All pets are interviewed in advance and evaluated for their social skills.
Are you a professional pet sitter/walker looking for opportunities to engage with DCLA? Since we are a referral agency, we are always looking for great independent contractors to contract with. Hours are flexible. Experience with large breeds, Veterinary training, and pet CPR are all pluses. The contractors on our roster who get the most gigs with us are friendly, great with animals, punctual, reliable, and professional in a casual environment. Previous dog walking experience and or cat care only please.

DCLA has done a great job of looking after my pets for the last 3 years. Chris and Dylan are awesome walkers who have taken amazing care of my pup, giving him the love and exercise he needs while I'm working, even during Covid. DCLA also offers pet sitting services, so I've been able to have them stop by to visit with and feed my cat while I'm out of town. They're friendly, affordable, flexible with your schedule and completely trustworthy. I'm sad to be moving out of state and I know my dog is going to miss his walks with his pal Chris so much.

Truly the best. So much care and attention for my cat (and Sayard takes great pictures!) Everyone there is super friendly, and the whole process is easy and clear from start to finish. I really appreciate that they make sure to confirm when I'm back in the house - makes me feel sure that my cat won't be stranded alone in an emergency. Couldn't recommend them more.

I have used sit pet sitting for well over a year now and I don't know what I would do without them! Lyndsey is our Dog Walker and my dog is in love with her. She's responsible, she's on time and she loves Lola almost as much as I do! Jennifer the owner, is one of the nicest people I've ever met. She goes over and above to make sure that we are well taken care of.

My husband and I cannot speak highly enough about the wonderful team over at Sit Pet Sitting. We never have to worry about our cat when we go out of town because we know he is in incredible care! Gabby is phenomenal and Moomie LOVES when she comes to visit! She is so thoughtful and good to him, always sending us pictures and making sure he is happy, loved, and fed! We have hired other sitters in the past, but NO ONE compares to Gabby and the team at Sit Pet Sitting! They are hands down the best!

Can't say enough good things about these folks. We've used them for 2 week stays, overnight stays and "shit, I'm going to the beach! Who can walk my dog?" visits - often (literally, today!) with less than 24 hours notice. Jennifer is the queen of calm: she gets it done. We've had a few different people take care of our girl over the years, but just a few. Jennifer tries to keep the care-giver consistent. Georgia, our dog, responds so well to the Sit! people.
I swear that dog looks disappointed when we come home. On longer stays, they'll text us pictures of her playing or on a walk, give us updates; they even water the plants! How great is that! These folks are so professional - and loving - We wouldn't leave our dog with anyone else.

Highly recommend! My friend gave me the recommendation for Jennifer and her amazing team of sitters. Christina was our sitter, and we loved her the moment we met her. So kind and friendly, and she lit up when she met our kitties - obviously an animal lover! One of our kitties is very skittish and usually stress pees on the furniture when we go out of town.
We were SO nervous leaving them in our new house. On day 1 we got the sweetest text from Christina showing her making friends with scaredy-cat already, and she stayed around to play with them and give them lots of attention. By the end of our 5-day trip she had totally won their hearts, and we came home to a clean house - no accidents! Our fur-babies have a new friend and we have the ease of mind to vacation without worry!

Almost a year ago I was in desperate need of a dog walker after the traumatic experience I had with my previous walker. My previous walker let me 5 lb Pom get attacked and was paralyzed for months. Jen and Kody came to the rescue. Not only did they take care of my other Pom Denver, but they made my hurt Pom Lauren feel loved. All is well and she's healthy again, but the care and attention they show my babies is something I can't imagine our lives without. They've helped me out numerous times when I was in a pickle and never let me down. Everyone at Sit, you guys rock!

I rarely write reviews, yet I do follow the thoughts and advice that I find on Yelp, so I wanted to take a minute to give a five "paw" review to Sit. We have been using this service for daily walks of our fur baby "Riley" and I'm pretty sure it's his favorite part of the day. Our walkers show up, rain or shine, and take Riley for his afternoon constitutional.
He then gets treats and belly rubs and we, his parents get a thoughtful note detailing his adventures. We love the notes, and sometimes pix (if he has been exceptionally cute) and appreciate the care and love that the Sit team - Michelle, Lindsey, and Zach, led ably by Jennifer - have shown our dog. They love him as much as we do and that's really all we can ask.

I don't love lengthy reviews but I cannot say enough about Jennifer and Kody! They are truly special and amazing. My dog had an injury that required daily vet visits, which was determined over a weekend. Since I work and can't take my dog everyday to the vet, I had to find some help, ASAP! Jennifer and Kody came that Sunday afternoon to meet and set everything up.
Today was the last of a week and a half of daily bandaging for my pup. Kody was in charge of her vet trips and the care both he and Jennifer took was beyond belief. They helped make a very difficult situation as pleasant as possible. They keep in touch when they are with your pet and send images and charming texts. Top notch, responsive, reliable, amazing! I am thanking my lucky stars to have found them.

But when she could not do it, I hesitantly looked on yelp for a sitting option. When I saw the 5 stars and great reviews, I decided to take a chance and give them a call. Jennifer came over that day.
She wanted to meet the cats. From the second she walked in, I knew I was set. Some people just have a way with animals. My cats, who tend to run under the bed when new people come in, came right up to her, as comfortable as can be. She took out some cats toys and had them playing in minutes. My trip lasted 2 weeks. Each day, I received photos of my cats, happily playing.
Because Jen and her team do not just dump food, scoop litter and leave. They actually stay and play. When I returned, my cats were as happy as I had ever seen them following a trip. The experience was so good, when my next business trip came up, I didn't even call my friend. I just called Jen. If you are looking for someone to look after your loved ones, seriously, look no further. Just be warned. You will never ask a friend to sit for you again after you use Jen.

Jennifer and her team have been wonderful by every measure. They took great care of our beloved cat, Moose. Finding Jennifer and Sit Pet Sitting is the best thing Yelp ever did for me. I have 3 senior Chihuahua's who I am very overprotective of. so much so, that I have turned them into little nervous nellies around other people. Jennifer, Amanda and Jo not only cared for my pets, but were able to bring them out of their shells and help gently guide me into the more proper way of handling their socialization on a day to day basis.
I felt totally at ease having them in my home while I was away and was constantly sent pictures and updates on their daily activities. What a relief. What a total and complete relief it is to know your pets are safe and cared for. I can't believe it took me this long to find them. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND - FIVE STARS - FIVE MILLION STARS. We had to go away for about 10 days and I found Sit Pet Sitting through positive yelp reviews. It was such a relief to have Jennifer and Sarah looking after our kitties, at a price that we could afford. Jennifer and her team are genuinely nice and caring people. They came over before we left for our trip to meet us and the cats and to see the place. Jennifer came bearing the best cat toy ever - a cluster of chicken feathers on a string.
No joke, this is my cats' favorite toy. It flutters and glides perfectly. They love it. They sent us some pictures while we were away, and it was a great feeling knowing someone was looking after our pets, and engaging with them (I used to do a barter/exchange with friends, and would get the feeling like it was an imposition or inconvenience).
They sent positive updates and Jennifer texted us to make sure we landed from our return flight - as they will continue service if your trip is delayed. I highly recommend this service. Feel at ease that your pets are looked after and cared for while you are away.

It's the night before my boyfriend leaves to meet me in NY and we still haven't found anyone to watch our little Archie. That's the orange tabby we've had for three years that has eaten one cat toy, chewed two computer charger cords to bits and destroyed many a cardboard box. He's adorable, I swear! So cute that when we tried to invite a cat over to cat sit / swap he stalked and sulked and hissed until the other little guy had to leave.
So we knew he had to have really proper care when we were gone. I really couldn't do with someone without even four and a half stars. And that's something I think Jennifer understands. When I wrote, even though it was last minute, and even though it was a holiday weekend, she agreed to sit for the days of our trip. I'm not saying everyone should call her last minute though!
Because then you might actually find that you have to hire someone else and then you won't get an adorable video update of your cat purring while she pets him in all is favorite spots. I swear I played the thing over at least ten times. It was such a comfort, both getting the sound as well as knowing he was safe with her.

I can't express my appreciation for Jennifer and Sit enough. She went out of her way for me, even at the cost of her own plans, and she did it on short notice and on a holiday. Their service is always above and beyond. Sit has, and will continue to be, our friends who take care of our cats when we're away.
