Dog Den We promise to stay on top on the research and training to be able to pass that onto you and your pup through engaging daycare programs, group training classes, puppy programs, private training, and behavior consults. While studying Zoology, she concentrated specifically on how animals and humans interact.

Laura's love for research and all things science, led her to begin her career in research. She worked in several different laboratories at UW-Madison doing everything from working with plants, worms, bacteria, mice and even primates.
Services
The Puppy Den's play groups are designed and structured for your individual puppy based on his age and developmental stage in life. Unlike adult dogs, puppies are learning everything for the very first time and our highly-trained staff provide constant supervision and guidance to make sure your puppy is having a fun and educational experience when he comes to play!
The Dog Den Dog Daycare & Training is a fun, safe hang-out for Madison area dogs. We combine fun with simple training every day to provide a daycare atmosphere that is as unique as your pup. Here at The Dog Den, your dog can run and play with his friends, get plenty of attention from our Playgroup Leaders, and be dog-tired when you return from a long day at work, errands, entertaining, or visiting with your own friends! From your dog's very first day at The Dog Den your dog becomes a part of our special family.
All dogs must complete a regular day of daycare and pass the evaluation to attend our Badger Saturdays. If you pick up before our doors open, please call or text us at the numbers posted by the door. See below for information about our night games! The Dog Den loves night games because we get to have the biggest party with our furry Badger fans - a sleepover!
We will notify our clients on our website and social media if we are closed due to weather. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Please understand that we have dogs waiting to come and play. If you do not cancel before the end of business the day before your reservation, we will bill you for a full day.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Value Employee behavior is deplorable and completely out of line. After my most recent interaction, where a supposed manager lost her temper on me, I will never trust them with my dog. I am honestly dumbfounded by all the positive reviews, as nearly all my interactions with the dog den were far from satisfactory.

My dog loves it here, I love their social media presence and that they separate dogs by size and play level. The holiday crafts are adorable and creative. Seems silly at first but they're worth the $3 for the keepsake.

This place is FANTASTIC! Their scrappers classes with Deb really helped us with managing and reducing our dogs reactivity. We've seen a night and day different and we are so grateful

Deb is an amazing instructor. She is so caring and genuinely wants you and your dog to succeed. She knows your dog by name and gives such good tips and tricks on how to help your dog succeed. I am recommending the dog den and the intructors for the scrappers program to everyone!

I don't do social postings much and if I do it's only when I think recognition is deserved. I have been taking my German Shepherd pup to The Dog Den starting with when she was only 3 months at The Puppy Den to continue socialization and training when I brought her home. She graduated from Puppy Den and joined the adult daycare at The Dog Den. She's wicked smart, but extremely stubborn!

The staff at The Dog Den are like family to us. They are very patient and understand the various personalities of dogs. Just like people, not all dog are the same. They are all unique in their own ways and mature at different stages. My shepherd not only plays at The Dog Den, but she learns good behavior.how to be a good canine citizen. They pay attention to what's going on and don't just let dogs be dogs.

Their training classes are all about positive reinforcement with a lot of patience (for the dog but also the pup parent). They teach not only the dog, but shows what the parent also needs to do to help their pup grow in confidence and have good manners. I am so grateful to The Dog Den and to the loving staff who knows dogs.dogs of all kinds and what their needs are. I am learning a lot as well so that I can be a better parent. Thank you being a top notch dog care and training team!

I have nothing but good things to say about the Dog Den. The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and very good with all the dogs. My puppy is on the shy side and they have been wonderful in helping her build confidence and proper play habits while at daycare. She wags her tail when we get there in the morning and collapses in her crate when I take her home at the end of the day.

The puppy play groups on Saturdays are also wonderful opportunities for pup parents to practice recognizing proper play behaviors and facilitating play breaks. Play groups are also a great time to practice recalls and attention with lots of distractions!

My dog loves everyone here. Every time we pull up, her tail starts wagging a mile a minute. She's taken all the obedience classes, treibball, and agility classes and loves the trainers. We moved closer to another daycare, but I would never consider taking my dog any where else. It is worth the extra 15 minute drive because I know she is well looked after here.

She did come home with a scratch on her face once but that was also due to my dog not knowing how to properly greet other dogs (she gets too excited and just wants to say "Hi" to every one even if they don't want to play). The staff took note and made sure to put her in a different play group the next week.

I went to The Dog Den today with my sweet foster dog who gets too excited when he sees other dogs on walks. The trainer I worked with, Debbie, was great. She asked the right questions and assessed my needs and the dog's needs. I left feeling more confident and able to help my wonderful foster dog. :-) She obviously had previous experience with my foster's issue and gave me some great, positive, training tips (and even a tip for me on how to stay relaxed when we see another dog on walks)!

I recently had another lesson with Dog Den, and it was obvious that my foster dog had improved between lessons thanks to their tips! My foster dog is doing a lot better, and it's all thanks to The Dog Den!

We got our first puppy earlier this year and had no idea what we were doing. Everyone at The Dog Den were (and still are!) able to answer all of our questions ranging from house-training to what you should expect during the "adolescent" phase. Not only have they provided loads of invaluable information they also offer playgroups by age! I thought this was fantastic because then there isn't any issues with older dogs playing too rough with your puppy.

Not to mention there are at least 2-3 staff patrolling while the dogs play to ensure there aren't any shenanigans. The other service that we've used extensively is their classes. They're all about 45 mins (not too long but long enough to learn a lot) and cover a range of topics from basic obedience to complete control without a leash. Finally they offer daycare. We've found this to be an awesome release of energy as well as great way to socialize with other dogs.
