Adopted a dog from their and it was full of parasites, don't believe the medical papers they give you.

This place is so professional, head and shoulders over other rescues I've worked with. I thought their selection process for choosing families for dogs was very fair. Once you meet your dog they give you overnight to think about your adoption, no pressure to take a dog (as I've experienced with one other place.) They want to be as sure as they can that a dog won't come back.

The dog we were interested in actually seemed to match her online description. There were no bait and switch tactics (aka "well that dog's not available but we do have this pit bull from hell with scars who probably won't like your husband and might eat your cats.") Yeah, it's sad what's out there, this place still makes every effort to do it right.

Adopted two dogs from them. They really care about the animals they rescue. They were very professional to deal with. I recommend them to everyone.

I've been volunteering here at dog orphans for the past 6 months and I love it! it's a small shelter in a small town and it has been a great experience. The puppies are the cutest and i've gotten to watch many of them find homes. Their application process is thorough and they make sure every family is prepared and ready to take their new family member home! 10/10 would recommend adopting from here.

Wonderful, loving staff for their fur babies. We got our pup there and still get his nails done there.

While this is not the review I wanted to write, one that ended with me getting the dog, I have to be honest and tell you what a wonderful place this is. They were warm and friendly not only toward the potential adopters but so caring to the dogs. The dogs were so clean and obviously loved. Ultimately my application wasn't chosen, but I am happy knowing that the pups were matched to their new families with care.

They do great work here. Honest people, trying to save pups. They get a lot of thier dogs from down south. We got our girl from them, she came from a litter in Georgia. Wish i could adopt them all. Very clean kennel. And the staff is very moral and strict when it comes to who can adopt a dog. If you dont fit the criteria you cant adopt. They want whats best fot the dogs and families

Small rescue with a lot of love. The dogs were all well cared for with good size kennels. They had a few people there working with the pups. It's quite obvious the staff at Dog Orphan loves what they're doing.

My fiance and I just adopted a puppy from Dog Orphans, and we couldn't be happier with the whole process. They are very thorough and make sure that the dog is going to a safe, loving home. The workers were very friendly and more than willing to let us spend enough time choosing which dog would fit our family best. We are in love with our newest addition!

Absolutely horrible experience. The older lady that works there on Sundays was one of the least approachable people I've encountered. Straight from the start she accused us of everything imaginable from taking dogs out of the cage ourselves (we didn't), to entering the back facility (which an employee brought us to). From there. She reviewed our application and demanded that we force our landlord to neuter his pure bred male dog.

She kept yelling and demanding we neuter him and refused to consider our adoption request unless we did so. She said it was part of the application to have all dogs in the house hold spayed or neutered even though it said that no where in the detailed application. All in all our experience was abysmal. With the exception of Hannah who greeted us politely and was a pleasure to deal with.
