Never again! Gave them a 2nd chance and let me down again. The husband was great cool and calm His wife Connie was rude and didn't want to answer any questions after our dog was boarded for a week Looks like he wasn't fed because they gave us back the same amount of food that we took a week earlier and said it was because it was his 1st time being boarded, after charging us for a bath and groom she says he was groomed the day before we picked him up when she knew what day we were coming and he smelled like he never has smelled before.just a awful experience with rude behavior and charged us nearly $300.and it looks like he was trimmed.not groomed.

I had been going to Doggone Rite for many years with my two previous dogs. I unfortunately had to give them to another loving home. But years later once I was able to get another dog, I did not hesitate to take her to Doggone Rite. The owners Don and Connie are professional and personable. Anyone who greets you at the check in desk is always pleasant. My dog always comes back clean and smelling like they've been groomed. Highly recommend them.

Do not bring your puppies here, the groomers are unprofessional and do not communicate what goes on with the puppies to the front desk ( incase of any complaints that can be made ) my puppy was aggressively held and made uncomfortable to the point that when I picked him up he was acting very unsual and has blood clots in both eyes.

This place ain't shyt. I Boarded my boy at this place over the weekend and I know they didn't take care of him. I left enough food for his stay at this place and they did not feed him any of his food. The minute we stepped outside, he started eating snow from the ground which isn't odd until I noticed he continued to when we arrived home.

The minute we stepped inside our house, he went straight to his bowl and finished 2 bowl full of water. Later this evening, when I went through the bag that they returned to me, it contained all his food he was supposed to get for the weekend. This place did not feed him nor did they supply my boy with any water. Do not do business with this place.

Took my cat to get groomed and they put the soft paws on him and overused the glue to make sure they stay there. My cat is very sensitive to touch and isn't himself. Don't take your pets here I don't know why or how they thought that was a great idea. They also glued his fur to the soft paws and it ripped his fur out when he took them off. The one that was put there is not embedded to his paw bed.

Please do not board your dogs here. This is the second time I used this facility. Both times, I picked up my dogs (both times) and they smelled like urine. Their bedding also was saturated in urine. When I asked to see where they were held, I noticed that the dogs walk way was covered in poo. They don't bother picking up so the dogs step all over. Worse experience ever.

DOGGONE- WRONG. These people shaved my dog completely down after being told to leave him full. Take your dogs and money elsewhere. Unprofessional people and by far the work pet groomers I've ever encountered.

I've been going to them for years but I caught one of the groomers 1st using the wrong comb on his ears 2nd tapping his face with the comb because he was trying to let the girl know she combing too roughly. Also, wasn't informed about the clipper burn left on my dog from the clippers being too hot, not changing the blade or using cool-off spray before continuing to shave down.

I honestly wanted to support Connie especially since it's black owned but after today she has lost my business. We called Connie Wednesday/Thursday to schedule an appointment which she then told us to come Saturday b/c she was closed for the week. We drop our small yorkie off at 11am Saturday morning. My mother called Connie around 3 to get an estimate time on our dog to which Connie replies "she's next she has one dog ahead of her".

My mom then called @7pm to get an update on how long until our dog was finished & Connie said she was getting on the table. An hour later my mother was furious & decided to go to the groomers to see if our dog was ready yet. When My mother pulled up our dog was finally getting on the table, an hour after she said our dog was already on the table. I feel she should have told us earlier in the day that she was booked before she held our dog all day. It rubbed me the wrong way & for that we will not be returning.

I set an appointment weeks in advance for 10:30. I arrived it took 45 before I was seen. This wasn't too much of a problem except she decided at her own discretion who would go in what order. Once I was inside the owner was snappy and seemed annoyed. I was terrified to see the sign in sheet accompanied with a contract that was barely legible. What I could make out was that this was relinquishing the shop of any "unforeseen accidents".

I was recommended this place by a few people so I pushed through trusting them. I picked up my dogs and realized she hadn't actually brushed their teeth. That wasn't too bad except one of my dogs came one with irritated eye that he wasn't dropped off with. Something clearly happened and when I called to ask what happened the owner told me she would get back to me and I still haven't received a call.

I LOVE supporting my people but my experience was terrible. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy overpriced, terrible customer service and they injured my baby. NEVER AGAIN.

Today was my 3rd visit to Doggone Rite to take my Yorkie to be groomed. The owner Connie was very rude when I dropped my pet off. I was referred by a friend who informed me a week prior that Connie had injured her dog's eye and took no accountability. I have them the benefit of the doubt since I had never had any issues. My dog was there from 10:30a.m. and I only called once at 3:30 to see if she was almost ready. Connie was soooo rude and condescending as if I was out of line for my inquiry.

She told me that my dog may be ready in a few more hours or in 30 minutes. I simply said ok and proceeded to rush to the establishment. The moment I walked in, Connie asked me, "You're here to get your dog?" I said yes and she told me I would have to pay for her bath. After 5 hours she only had her bathed; nothing else! She told me "she would rather be safe than kind." This confirmed she knew how rude she was over the phone and did not care. I will never take my pet nor recommend anyone else patronize this " establishment ". She is hateful and if you love your pet and respect yourself. DO NOT USE DOGGONE RITE!

This place is horrible. The owner is rude and unprofessional. After waiting hours for my dog, the owner calls me to pick him up. When I get there she would not even answer, the door or the phone she left outside. When she finally answered the door. She wanted me to pay for my dog who was still been groomed and was not ready. She was only concerned about her payment.

Once my dog was finished getting groomed. He had red little cuts on his legs and his head was read. When I told the owner she acted like I was lying. Asking me to send a picture. I will not recommend anyone to take their dog to doggonerite. It's more like doggone wrong.

I dropped off my poodle and when I picked him up the receptionist informed me that he had a "sore" on the side of his eye that got irritated when they groomed him. When I received him he had a pretty deep CUT on the side of his eye. She apologized and Refunded my money. But I was still so upset my poor dog looked so scared don't take your dogs! They don't even seem like they like dogs! They are pretty rude.

I've been taking my malti-poo here for almost 6 years, and Doggone Rite always does an awesome job grooming her. No matter how rough she looks going in, she always comes out looking perfect! I also appreciate their great customer service.

I took my 9 month Maltese Yorkie here to get sanitary cuts and a bath. When I picked him up he seemed sad, he slept the whole car ride home and wasn't excited to see me as he usually is. When we got home, I was petting his face when I noticed he has bruising above his eye and he had a blood clot all over his eyeball. When I picked him up they didn't make me aware of any incidents which make me suspicious that this wasn't an accident. I wish I could share pictures. I am so sad that I sent my puppy there, NEVER AGAIN!

Why the poor reviews on only Yelp? Doggone Rite has near-perfect ratings on Google and Facebook.and rightfully so. I have been a happy customer (3 dogs -- short, medium, and long haired) for about 5 years and have recommended family and friends. All referrals were satisfied with their service and price. Besides my very specific instructions about bathing and grooming, I've always been satisfied with their boarding service, too. Don and Connie are great!

I am warning people to it take their dog here. My dog came back with a bloody eye and when I asked the staff about it they brushed it off saying that it was just shampoo that got in his eye. The staff here is very unprofessional and rude, when I told the lady that works there that I took him to the hospital she went off on me saying that was not necessary and a whole lot of more stuff that was very unnecessary. They even have the poor dogs outside in the below zero temperature. I advise to everyone that is thinking about taking their dog here please don't.

My sister has been bringing her dog (shitzu-poodle) here since (2010) she was a pup. I finally have me a pup (Maltese-Shitzu-Yorkie) of my own and brought him here at 5months old. Don is extremely nice, his brother did the grooming and made sure my little baby came out looking exactly how i wanted him. So cute! I will be returning. Love professional, & clean, black owned businesses.

All I can say is, if you love your pet, do not take them here. They are very unprofessional and dogs get picked up with red eyes. A vet has stated that if a dog comes back from grooming with red eyes, it indicates she was hanging from the table! Also, a groomer recently has quit there after witnessing a groomer punch a dog. Also back in July a dog was picked up under severe distress, and shortly after died from heat stroke!

I brought my dog in to be groomed and specifically told them to leave her hair long. When I came to pick her up and guess what I now have? A shaved dog! They put bows in her hair and I tried to take them out but they were knotted into her hair! I asked them to remove the tacky bows (looked like a pair of party favors) and they themselves could not remove them!

Her ponytail had to be cut. Now I was fuming. When I pointed this out to the owner, she responded with an infuriating smirk and simply said "It will grow back." Um, How about I never come back?

Aw, man. Don't go here. As much as I love the idea of supporting a local, Black-owned business, this place is bad. I'm not a picky person. When I brought in my dog, all I asked for was that they not cut her eyelashes. Which they did, so the owner gave me the next grooming free. Accountability: awesome! So I bring my dog back a few months later, and in spite of "DO NOT CUT EYELASHES" being written all over her card and cage, her eyelashes still get cut.

This time, the owner didn't seem to especially care, and offered nothing but a half-hearted apology. A few days later, my dog has a stye (dirty equipment) and razor burn on her face. I didn't even know dogs got razor burn. To top it off, my dog was really nervous and scared looking when I picked her up, which makes me never want to leave her here again. Fool me once, right? I won't be back.

This place is disgusting, the people are rude, and I would not be surprised if there was a Puppy Mill in the back. I brought my puppy here for the first time and she came back with two visible cuts. One on her belly and the other in her ear. I just got off the phone with a representative who did not even offer an apology. While I was discussing the dangers of this establishment with my coworkers one chimed in that her dog came back from this place with fleas! Probably from the mangy cats they have free to roam the building. For the health and safety of your pet, please consider another groomer.

I sent my dog to get groomed on July 3rd (last week). When I went to pick her up, she was glad to see me but once we got home she seemed very withdrawn. As I was rubbing her favorite spot (her tummy) she sort of whimpered. I turned her over on her back and there was a very long scratch from her chest all the way down to her back leg. I was very disappointed and I will not be taking her back.
