Let us do the heavy lifting for you. We offer several options of board and train programs. These are programs where your dog boards at our facility and is trained daily by our professional trainers. The programs range from three to six week stays depending on the level of training that you choose. All programs include graduation lessons, access to our graduates only online support DVD's and follow up coaching/training sessions to ensure a smooth transition to your home Additionally your dog, upon completion of the program, becomes an elite member of our Dogs Spot family, earning preferred boarding status with discounts on boarding.
The Dogs Spot offers home style boarding. This means that we use crates instead of kennel runs and large yards for the dogs to play in. All of our guests are assigned their own crates for eating and sleeping and a play yard with appropriate friends for their exercise and play time. All of the dogs get eight hours of play time per day.
From Statesboro: Take HWY 80 out of Statesboro and through Brooklet to Stillson. You will travel about 17 miles on 80 from Lowes. Continue on 80 until you get to HWY119 conn this will be on your left along with the Country Corner Cafe and a gas station in Stillson. Once you turn left you will travel 6 miles to a fork in the road, the road will curve to the left towards Guyton or you can continue straight towards Pembroke. You want to stay straight, once you have made this change you will travel 2 miles to Pleasant Hill Ch Rd it will be on your right.
Training methods: Talk with the dog trainers you are considering. Discuss your goals, ask about their training methods and about a realistic time frame to achieve the results you desire. Common goals: Is the trainer willing to dedicate the time needed to accomplish your goals? Not all dogs and owners can be trained to the same performance standard in the same length of time.

My girl went for her first time away from home. I was definitely nervous. the facility is clean, crates are clean, play space is clean. I even called the evening after drop off to check on her and they sweetly let me know how she was doing. My pup is like a kid, she'll definitely go back when needed. Also, she came home with better eating habits than when she left. Great job!

One of my friends recommended The Dogspot to me as I was beside myself, with my new puppy It was either she go here or I was going to have to give her away. She was terrorizing my Yorkies! I called Kim and, she was very nice over the phone and said she could help and would take Jersey a Girl. I did two separate trainings. 6 weeks of, , " boot camp".

Her behavior was terrible, chewing, Biting everything and everyone and got aggressive when told No. I wasn't sure how this was going to go down. I missed her terribly and was worried she would think I left her there. WELL 6 weeks later, I went to pick her up, and I'm telling you, I wanted to know what they did with my dog! She was listening and had the best behavior!

They took me in the facility to do the Training with me. I was almost in tears, she was listening to ME! They told me ANYTIME if I needed help to let them know and they would be happy to. I skipped the community training because she was doing so well. Big Mistake.! You see not only does your dog need to be trained, you do also! Jersey was amazing at home, but I did not know how to handle her out.

I called them back a few weeks later and enrolled her in swimming and community class. Yes they use the E collar- at a Very LOW setting, and with all of the training before this place, nothing else worked, but it has to be used correctly. They don't go around zapping your dog all day, for heavens sake. It's there as a reinforcement!. My dog was so afraid of the water also.

By the way, they send you photos and videos of your dog being trained. Once you enroll, you are now able to get in on the website to see training, in case you need a refresher. My dog is now my Yorkies buddy, as big as she is. I needed to have a big dog to feel safe, and now I have a well trained one! I would not have my baby right now if not for Kim and her trainers! Kim oversees all the training and her trainers are TOP Notch!

I especially Love, Mary. You can call or text her anytime. I love the fact that I tried to sneak up to see Jersey, at about 2 weeks, and Kim said no. I really needed a peek, but it wasn't good for Jersey to set the training back. She stuck to her guns and I now have a very well trained, lovable Dog! I have ZERO Complaints, and I will not board my dogs anywhere but here.

Video cameras everywhere, 24 hours these dogs are watched! Jersey gets out of the car excited to see them when we have to board. I also use the E collar at home, but now it's off, but she doesn't know it. I have a totally different dog, who is now a part of our family and so owe it all to The Dogspot! Thank you! I would give more stars if it was possible! Robin Greco

I am a former employee and personally I would never take my dogs there. Nothing about the place is genuinely for the dogs. It's all about money. The owner is very rude and very selfish. I want my dog to be trained to follow commands with out needing a pinch collar or shock collar around it's neck everyday. Kim only cares about her money and could care less about the dogs in the kennels or her employees.

I called Kim one morning to tell her I was running a little behind because my daughter had thrown up on herself on our way out the door and I naturally gave my daughter a bath and changed her clothes because I didn't want her sitting in her own vomit. When I got in to work that morning only running 15 minutes behind Kim told me that I should have left my daughter sitting in her vomit and made my mother in law that was watching my daughter that day take care of the mess. After working there for a while I realized she just doesn't care about anything but the money.

Our dog Chase is a rescue. He is very skiddish and frightens easily. He literally would lie on the ground when you tried to walk him on a leash. We took our first dog to the Dog spot and they worked wonders so we knew that the Dog Spot was the saving grace Chase needed. A week before he went to the Dog Spot I had to drag him across the floor at the vet.

After three weeks at the dog spot we came home and today we took a long walk around the neighborhood perfectly on the leash. He follows all of the commands promised by the Dog Spot. Their dedicaiton, love for dogs, and training are worth every penny!

We sent our 1 year old boxer to the 3 week boot camp. I cannot say enough good things about this company. The trainers are fantastic, they emailed me multiple times a week and posted videos on my dog's progress. At the 1 hour hand-off session at the end, they were very clear about all the training they had completed with my dog. They demonstrated it and made sure I could perform the commands and corrections.

They even sent me a link to videos I could watch to refresh all the lessons taught as there was so much covered in the hand off. He sits and lays down immediately, comes when called and doesn't pull my arm off with a leash anymore! A great investment for our family.

We took our dogs to Kim and one of them came back with gushers on his head and neck, would not eat or drink, and was not acting like himself at all. We had to take our dog to the vet and he is now having to take antibiotics. Kim at The Dogs Spot was quite rude as always when I mentioned it to her and refused to give us partial refund. Definitely never doing business with her again.

We have used The Dog Spot in Ellabell to train three family dogs. All of our pets were rescues and varied in age from 2-8 years old. We first used the Dog Spot about 5 years ago and our most recent rescue pooch was just there this month. Could not be happier. They all are extremely well trained and well behaved in our home, on walks and off leash.

It has made it so much easier to take them to the beach to play and know we can count of them turning on a dime when we call them. The communication about our pets training and progress was fantastic. When we picked up our most recently trained dog they took great care to make sure our 5 year old daughter also knew the commands. 5 Stars!

My dog was not ill-behaved before she went to boot camp. She was just a normal puppy, but we wanted to start her off right. We did the 3 week in-kennel training and could not be happier. She listens and follows all of her commands. I get compliments on her behavior all the time! More than the basic obedience she came home with an over all calm about her.

I saw a couple of reviews complaining about the cleanliness. I mean, its boarding and training for multiple dogs. They play with each other and have a great time. I've never seen 2 or more dogs run and play and not come back dirty! Come on people! I highly recommend Kim and her staff! They are professional and friendly. My dog has been boarded twice and is going again in a couple weeks. I won't worry a bit about her.

The Dog's Spot is awesome! Mason graduated from his Bootcamp last week and he has come home a completely different dog. When I brought Mason to The Dog's Spot, he was completely out of control. He would jump on everyone and about pull my arm out of socket when I took him for a walk. I am amazed at how calm and responsive he is to the commands that were taught to him.

He now walks directly beside me no matter what speed I am walking and I can even walk him without a leash. I highly recommend The Dogs Spot for all of your training needs. Thank You Kim and The Dogs Spot team for making my best friend a better house mate to live with.
