My German shepherd puppy (9-10 weeks old at the time) went to this place on 4-5 different occasions. While in their care she ate something that she shouldn't have which resulted in her being seen at The Cove (24hr Vet ER) and having surgery to get the foreign object she ingested out. I will admit she is a handful with lots of energy but obviously she wasn't being closely watched. I would not recommend this place. I will be sticking with my dog walkers instead of this daycare.

If you live in Isle of Wight County your neighborhoods are going to be invaded by Commercial Hotels that will create havoc and reduce your property values. Don't let this happen SEE BELOW:

I have two shy big dogs who absolutely love coming here. The owners are very good with the puppies and remember almost every dog that comes through here. I would recommend anyone in the area who needs someone for their fur babies to play come here!

After viewing a few other doggy daycare places in the area, Dogwood Run is by far THE BEST option for your dog! Owners are very polite, patient and accommodating. I was offered a tour the first day. The facility was very clean and had a huge yard with plenty of grass! No crates or kennels! My dog jumps at the door when she gets here to go play. Very fortunate to have found Dogwood Run :

My husband and I have been using their alternative boarding service since December for our two golden retrievers, and we couldn't be happier! Just recently we went up to Northern Virginia to visit family and we got snowed in. The people here were so accommodating for us to help take care of our pups since we couldn't get back in time to take care of them. On top of that, they gave us a call just to see how we were doing and to make sure we were safe. Talk about customer service! I HIGHLY recommend using Dogwood Run!

My puppy, Bella, has been going to Dogwood Run for 3 months now. We take her 3-4 days per week (1/2 days). The staff are wonderful, friendly and very good with Bella. She loves being there, and I definitely love that she is getting that puppy energy out. I would highly recommend them!

Dogwood Run is the best doggie daycare ever. All the employees are wonderful and my little yorkie absolutely loves going there. I feel completely at ease leaving her for the day and when I pick her up she's totally exhausted from playing with the other dogs. I highly recommend them and I'm so grateful to them for the wonderful care they give her each time she visits.

Great place for our dog to have playtime and socialization while we are at work. Their drop off service is well priced and good for when we have a late night out. Our dog is always happy to come here.

What a wonderful place! My parents take their dogs there regularly. They drop the dogs off and Dogwood Run will drop them off at home. We've used them ever since they opened, and they keep expanding and improving the facilities. The dogs are excited to go and exhausted when they get home. You can tell the staff really love and care for the animals.

They work to make sure the dogs socialize with each other and they make sure there aren't any disagreeable dogs in the mix. I can't imagine a better way to deal with your furry friends if you work or are traveling.

I toured and was impressed with Dogwood Run a few years ago. So, I visited again about 1.5 weeks ago in order to contact an acquaintance and for a lead on a puppy since I lost my Doberman 2 years ago and I am now looking for another. Unfortunately, I became emotionally overwhelmed with grief as soon as I entered the door. The manager could have easily assumed I was some kind of "nut". Instead, she was kind, and compassionate. I have not doubt where I will enroll my next Doberman. Next time. no tears!

My dogs lose their minds when we get to the bridge. It's their favorite place to go and the mere mention of it gets them excited. We actually have to say DC around them like they are human children that can't spell.

I have used Dogwood Run many times over the last several years and cannot recommend them highly enough. Their Boarding Alternative program, in which they pick up my dogs in the morning, take them to daycare for the day, and then bring them home at night to sleep at home is a unique service that allows me to go out of town guilt-free. Knowing that my dogs are having fun in a cage-free environment during the day, getting their medications, eating their regular food, and then sleeping comfortably in their own beds at night is a relief -- and it saves me a lot of money when compared to the cost of boarding all three of them somewhere overnight (caged boarding is upsetting to them, since they are shelter dogs and one has extreme separation anxiety when alone). Having their staff check my mail, water my plants, and turn on lights gives me a sense of security too.

The staff at Dogwood Run is always friendly and helpful, and my dogs love them. During the summer they have large swimming pools open for the dogs with staff attending them at all times, but my dogs always come home dry and smelling fresh. I'm happy that they have expanded and have large indoor and outdoor areas. They pay a lot of attention to the dogs, and even noticed that my smaller dog wasn't happy in the small dog area away from his larger sisters, so they allow him to play in the large dog area and keep a close eye on him. My dogs are always thrilled to hear they're going to doggie daycare!
