I just finished the beginning obedience with my 7 month old puppy and will be returning for the next level of training. I appreciate Donna and her kind, knowledgable and flexible approach to training. The classes were fun and easy to incorporate at home. I can't recommend Dog Woods enough.

Almost finished the beginner class with our 5.5 month lab pup & can really tell the improvement. Micheal is a good teacher & seems that he wants you to be successful with training & working with your dog - to make your experience with your dog a good one. He offers individual guidance and he even offered an extra class to address specific issues. He expects students (both person & dog) to do the "homework" of daily exercises. We will continue to attend more classes with Dog Woods to work on our Hazelnut.

Dogwoods Training I have been going here since I got my first dog in 1999-2000. Those ladies are the best and always will be. Now I'm taking one of my pups and our trainer is the son. He is just a personable as the owners. Just a great bunch. We are in beginners obedience. They have advanced and agility training too. They even have a one on one class and will keep your pet while they train them.

My goal is the AKC good citizens award. Ha-Ha.with my guys that's a stretch. But Dogwoods is the ones to get us there. I will be updating this review on how well Shelby completes the beginner class.

The teacher would come late to class, only taught 1-2 things each week and literally didn't even show up at all the very last week of the class (graduation week). All of us stood outside the building in the dark with our dogs waiting for the trainer to come to class and he never came, so we all went home and have never heard another word from the company! Despite multiple emails to complain about the service we've received, the company hasn't even had the decency to respond, let alone apologize. Terrible!

I have always thought that Donna has a high sense of professionalism and seems to love what she does and takes pride in her training. My dog is always excited to see her! Because of this I have always overlooked the other issues I had with professionalism and communication (lack of) from other members of the team. It is very difficult to get in touch with anyone and getting a returned phone call is next to impossible.

There are a lot of empty promises made from these other team members. The man who runs the boarding services is the least professional person I have ever come in contact with, but one of the rudest. My dog will NEVER be back and I will NEVER again recommend this place. I do think Donna is very sweet and incredibly talented, but this place is in desperate need of someone with business sense and customer service skills.

Wish I could rate it higher than a 5! We love everything about Dogwoods - makes the drive worth it! My 11 month old schnoodle does a happy dance when I ask him if he wants to go to school! We've taken obedience, agility, and nose work classes and will soon add the rally and therapy dog classes. Best of all, he attends day training twice a week where they reinforce what we've been working on in class as well as working on my personal goals for him.

He also gets lots of socialization time. He LOVES Donna and Michael (I may be a tiny bit jealous! ) They are amazingly talented, have years of experience, provide lots of love, praise, encouragement and reinforcement. They are always willing to answer any question and appear to truly care about your dog.

I have been training my dogs at Dogwoods for about 5 years now. Donna and Michael are always available to answer questions and help us with any issues or roadblocks we come up on. Recently, we acquired a new puppy and were worried about leaving him while we went on vacation. They boarded him for the week and it was great. They built on what we had started and it helped us not lose ground while we were gone. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dog Woods saved me! Having a new puppy who is growing fast and soon to be 70 lbs plus, I needed help to guide all this puppy energy. Counter surfing, darting out any open door, jumping on everyone that enters, ignoring us when we call her, obsessed with tearing up paper, inability to walk on a leash are a few of her annoying puppy behaviors. With Fred only 4 months old, I enrolled her in beginner obedience class.

First 2 classes Fred was arguably the worse in the class. I reiterated the training we learned in our one hour classes by taking 15-20 minutes 4-5 days a week. After only 6 weeks, Fred now heels on leash, sits and stays on command, greets visitors without jumping on them, and comes (most) of the time she is called. My friends and family are so impressed with how well behaved Fred has become in such a short time.

Little effort with great gains. When someone knocks on the door, we simple tell Fred to sit. I am so impressed with how Donna at Dogwoods has helped us make Fred such a good puppy. Having a well behaved puppy makes us want Fred involved in everything we do. I am so impressed with Fred's progress, we are enrolling in the intermediate class. Can't wait to see Fred polish up her good puppy skills!

I was referred to DogsWoods by a friend who brought her puppy here nearly 30 years ago. The way she talked about them and the improvement she saw in her puppy, I had to give them a call. and oh, am I overjoyed that I did! My 5-month old puppy started the puppy training class in March 2017 at 3-months and graduated 6-weeks later. At first, she was a bit of a "tough cookie" and the puppy training classes have been the most helpful in getting a very energetic and sometimes stubborn puppy to behave and pay attention. Donna and Michael are both encouraging even "training" me, for a lack of better words, to be patient and remain consistent in my training with her.

In addition to the intro puppy training class, my puppy goes to Day Training where she receives additional hands-on training and socialization. I just appreciate the time and attention both Donna and Michael have given my sweet little girl. It's because of their knowledge, skills, and care that I am seeing great improvements in my puppy's behavior.

They make training fun for our furry-loved ones. Whenever I pick my puppy up after a day's training, Michael gives me a report on how she did for the day and even providing suggestions to work on at home. You can tell that this is not just a business for them, but it's their passion. You can be assured that they will treat your puppy as one of their own. Thank you Donna and Michael for all of do and have done for my little girl!

I wish I could actually give a review of the training, but I can only give a review of customer service at this point. I talked to Donna a few weeks ago about training my dog. She said she may have an opening the following Tuesday, that she would call me Monday to let me know. If not, it would be the following week. I never got the phone call so I assumed it would be the following week.

Still no phone call. I called twice, leaving a message, but nothing. This is bad customer service. If she didn't want to train my dog, tell me. Not returning phone calls is very bad business in my opinion. I'll find someone else who wants my business.
