Forever Paws Animal Shelter Forever Paws Animal Shelter gives animals a renewed leash on life by assisting them while homeless, in danger, or generally in need. We are the contracted shelter for the City of Fall River, the City of New Bedford, and the Town of Westport. We house and care for all the stray animals in these areas, as well as animals surrendered by their owners.

Our mission is to rehome animals in an ethically positive way that is beneficial to the overall well-being of the animal and our community. Forever Paws works to give animals the gift of time through managed intake.
Services
Forever Paws Animal Shelter finds new homes for abused and abandoned pets. Strays rescued from the streets, taken from dumpsters and abusive situations, frightened, hungry and often in need of medical attention, are brought to us and are soon restored to health, dignity, and happiness while in our care.
Join the Forever Paws Family today by becoming a member and know that you are supporting your local animal shelter. We are so grateful to be a part of this community. We thank you for the overwhelming support you have shown to the animals over these years and look forward to the many more to come.
With the help of an amazing group of foster caregivers, Forever Paws Foster Program gives animals who are not yet ready for adoption a chance to live and be loved in foster homes. If you think you might be interested in becoming a foster, please send the correct Foster Form to:.
Our pets are often like members of the family. They make our houses feel like home. They share affection with no strings attached, entertain us mightily, and provide us with daily opportunities to show love and care. Celebrate the life of your beloved pet. Harold adopted me at one of Forever Paws outreach events.

I have mud on my face.a big misunderstanding on my part! After a phone call from Forever Paw it was resolved. We were able to adopt the cat we originally wanted and are very happy. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and informative. It was a turnkey experience. Thank you Forever Paws for everything.

It's a great shelter and a great experience. We got this little guy and he's so nice and chill, the adoption process was quick and easy and I can say he definitely loves his home.

I was approved and told to come on down for a meet and greet ( I love 40mins away) When I got there they told me we found a better fit for the dog. In the 40 minutes it took me to get there you found a better fit? What a joke. Miss when Erin worked there, she was awesome. The shelter went down hill after she left.

If I could I wouldn't even leave one star, this shelter is inhumane and awful, the way they treat their animals is terrible the same as they treat their staff, by separating bonded animals and euthanizing animals that don't need to be. Lying to their staff saying that an animal has been adopted but was actually euthanized. Someone who adopted a cat from the shelter ran away for only a week after the shelter calls them and tells them that their cat has been adopted by someone else and that there are other cats they can get. I am shocked that the shelter is still open. People truly don't see what is happening on the inside, see four stars but you don't know the truth.

The people where wonderful from the time we entered the door till we walked out. Gave us a gift basket with lots of food, collars and treats. We looked at a few dogs and they where patience with us. Make sure you make an appointment first and when you get there the door bell is to the left of the door, don't pull on the door handles.

I have always donated and have even dropped off supplies I collected from others and myself because they were in need. NEVER AGAIN. Our dog ran out of our door and was 2 streets away and picked up by animal control within 5 minutes before we could find her. We called before they even knew animal control had her and wanted to grab her directly from animal control because I did not want her locked in a cage alone.

They did not help us get directly in contact with animal control so we could get her right away and said that we HAD to wait until she got there. Once she did they said BECAUSE she stepped foot in their building we had to pay fees and couldn't have her until we did. My husband didn't have money on him at the time and they said he couldn't have her and needed to leave to get funds.

It was all a cash grab so they could collect money from us when animal control was blocks away. I will absolutely NEVER give a single penny or supply to this place ever again via fundraiser or any other means. Taking advantage of someone to squeak money out of them and act like it's mandated and goes to the state when it goes directly in their pockets.

If you truly cared about the well-being of my dog you would have had me contact animal control directly so she didn't have to go through this experience, but then again you couldn't have forced money out of someone's pocket. I hope you enjoyed this minimal fee causing no future support from me for a lifetime.

I had a great experience here adopting the new addition to my family "Oreo". They were very nice and made sure they did their research to make sure Oreo would have a safe and loving home. We absolutely love him so much and he is so sweet and laid back. I'm glad I had the opportunity to give him the love he deserves.

Thank you to the staff for making adopting our newest family member Oliver, easy and fun. We live in central MA and have been looking for a beautiful tiger looking cat. I placed my application online and the next day I heard back on the cat we were interested in adopting. They stated we could take him home the same day we saw him. Long behold he was a loving, caring, and handsome boy. How can you say no. That hour ride was worth it! He has been in our home 5 days now and adjusting well. Thank FPAS for helping make our family complete.

Great staff, very professional, very very caring. Jack is the perfect kitten. When he first saw our dog Dakota Jack was petrified. And now from time to time he goes over and naps with him. He also jumps and chases him. Playing with him although Dakota for the most part pretty much ignores him. Dakota is 11 and Jack is way too fast for him. So. Forever Paws. Thank you very much for finding Jack for us. He is the perfect kitten. He is playful. He loves to cuddle. He purrs a lot. Just great. Thanks again Dick
