Although our owners have been in the animal field or pet sitting for many years Fur Nanny was officially began in December of 2007. It all began when my mother retired from nursing and decided that she wanted to do something else that she loved. So she approached me Emily with her idea.

Fur Nanny is a small family-owned company. Our owner has been in the animal field and pet sitting for many years. Fur Nanny was born in December of 2007, when Emily returned to Sarasota after graduating from college in New York. Fur Nanny is based on our love and passion for animals and wanting to see them thrive even when their owners have to travel.
Daily walks are geared towards people who work a set schedule and need to have a sitter take their pup for a romp or a potty at a set time one or more days per week. These service are for the owner who is traveling. From a day to a month we will provide visits based on the length of time you wish the sitter to interact with your pets and the number of pets in your household. A kitty visit includes scooping litter pans (up to 3), feeding, fresh water, administration of medications if needed, and visual check-over.
Emily was born and raised in Sarasota. She lived briefly in New York where she completed her Bachelors Degree in Biology at SUNY Stonybrook. She also has minors in Marine Science and Political Science. Emily is partial to large breeds, as she is the owner of Rabbit, a pointer mix, Daisy the FBD, Stoli the pig, Bonnee and Klyde the Sphinx Cats, and some chickens.

We have used Fur Nanny for many years and have always had a great experience. The pet sitters are friendly, very dependable, and give our cats all the love and attention they need. We love the daily updates each visit along with the beautiful pictures of our animals that they include. We know we can always count on Fur Nanny to take great care of our pets whenever we are away. Very glad to have found them!

Used the service for the first time when we needed to travel for a long weekend. A kennel is stressful for our older dog - much easier for him to stay in his home environment. Everything was handled as instructed and with each visit we received an email report. Most importantly we came home to a happy dog - no stress!

The best! They are punctual, responsible, caring, trustworthy and responsive. They do a great job and many times go above what is expected of them! The animals are happy and well cared for and I do not worry about them while I'm away. Emily and her team updates you via an app and sends a quick message letting you know what's been taken care of during each daily visit. Seriously, they are A+!

Two simple words come to mind caring and accommodating. We were recommended to Fur Nanny via the assisted living my mother is living for her Shih Tzu, Jake. I contacted Emily after my mother had a medical emergency and Jake needed to be taken care of. Within hours of being hired Jake was being walked, loved, and feed. The walkers left detailed notes on who walked him and when and if he ate his food and if he was given treats.
He then needed to be boarded. Pattie and her pups opened their doggy door to him and he became a part of the pack and I was given text updates and pictures. We started using Fur Nanny in June of 2106 and have used their services numerous times (a few times last minute) for both walking and boarding and highly recommend them to anyone who wishes their furbaby to get the love and care they deserve.

The best pet sitters in Sarasota! Emily and pattie are the best. They collect my mail, water my plants, take out the trash, etc. I have a cat who needs insulin shots every day. No problem. Pattie was a vet tech for years. I've also boarded my dogs at Pattie's house. They absolutely love it there. She has three amazing dogs of her own and they have the best time. Sometimes it's hard to get them to leave. A fenced in yard. These guys do it all regardless of breed or needs. Amazing service.
