Always happy with Georgetown and their services. They've consistently taken excellent care of my pets and remember them even between long visits. I've notice a change though since coming back from curbside pickup - there seems to be a bit more timidness with handling the pets, which is something I haven't experienced before.

Dr. Fietz has been my pet Lily's primary care physician since she was 14 weeks old. In twelve months she will be 9 years old. He is a great veterinarian and if I did not have to move to Richmond he would have been her vet indefinitely. He is awesome! I hate to be leaving this practice.

We also were not told Dr. Fietz left. He was wonderful. Covid restrictions taken too far. Doing business out of their parking lot by phone was cold and off-putting for 2 years. They still require masks in a State where we don't have to wear them. No reason given. Just "policy". Call and you'll be put on "a brief" hold.have had to hang up after 4 minutes more than once. It used to be a good place. Also, expensive!

Dr. Stone is marvelous. So compassionate and she actually came out to meet us. Not just talk over the phone, like the Doctors at Banfield in petsmart. All the folks at Georgetown Veterinary are wonderful!

I've been using Georgetown for my two cats for 11 years and could not be happier with them. We started out with Dr. Fietz, then moved to Dr. Handley when he left, and most recently saw Dr. Stone for an urgent appointment. All three have been fantastic - thorough, kind, clearly caring about what's best for the patient, and always willing to give as much of an explanation for things as you're open to.

Front desk and technician staff have always been courteous, if not downright friendly. Of course you're put on hold when you call or are at their desk (if it's not an emergency) - they're incredibly busy for a reason! I have also had to use their office for two absolute emergencies, and they were wonderful during that whole process each time. They definitely aren't just out looking to make a buck, either.

When they're out of stock of certain medicines or prescription foods (yay COVID), I'm encouraged to find the item wherever I can online and they will absolutely authorize it, no problem. The patient's well-being has always come first. I know everyone's experience is different, but the negative reviews on here are for some absolutely wild reasons. Yikes.

Georgetown vets are truly the best. I recommend them to anyone. The doctors and staff truly care for your animal and the clients.

Regardless of the actual vet service available at this location - this vet has the most unfriendly and unhelpful front desk staff. They are uneducated in their own policies, more interested in making money as a business than the care or well being of your pet, and are unwilling to work cooperatively with pet owners. My 3 dogs and I would NOT recommend.

Definitely recommended this Veterinary Hospital. Been a customer for as long as I have my little cockapoo Mochi. All the vets have had taken care of Mochi, from removal of her tumors to an emergency visit from a bite or simply boarding her when I went home to Indonesia for couple weeks. The staffs are all friendly, attentive and patient especially handling all my calls about Mochi health issues. Thank you all!

We have been with Georgetown since we adopted our first dog in 2002, even though we lived in Fluvanna at the time. Georgetown Vets had always been attentive to our dogs' needs, courteous to us, and conscious of budget when it came to treatment options. Thanks, Georgetown Vets!

My family has been going to Georgetown for years. We love all of the doctors here. Even though we moved out of the city, we still travel to them for our pets care.

First off, the vet we'd taken pets to for over a decade. left. We go no notice. THEN: DO THEY EVEN CARE?! our pet needed an app't, we were told to drop them off and then, when calling back to get a more concrete appointment time to be safe? We got mumble-mumble, no'ma'am (snotty voice), we could HEAR the person not giving a rat's a** that we are worried for our beloved pet, or the fact that person 1 says Dr M can see her then person 2 says no Dr M can't and and and. TLDR: I don't trust them anymore, and I trusted them since 2002. It's now 2021.

About a month ago, I found a neglected, sick, underfed cat that I believed to be a stray and started to care for him and nurse him back to health, and fell in love. When I brought him in to get his shots with the intention of adopting him, the vet checked for a chip and found that this cat had (abusive) owners and was not in fact a stray, and they refused to hand the cat back over to me and called the abusive owners to come get him so they could resume abusing and neglecting him.

If you want your pets stolen from you and handed back to abusers, this is your place! It was a gut wrenching, horrific experience and they didn't even let me say goodbye to him. The vets did not care that he came from an abusive home and told me that they don't get involved in "legal matters". Didn't realize human and animal decency equals "legal matters".

I can't say enough about Dr. Peppard. He is absolutely wonderful with my sweet Ladybug. When he comes in the room he immediately sits on the floor and she climbs into his lap, Smiling a big toothy smile. He always tries to save money for me and also not do unnecessary procedures.( which is HUGE for me) And so compassionate! The staff are always friendly and professional. She will always be Dr Peppard's patient

While our vet, Dr. Stone, was on maternity leave, Dr. Nancy Handley stepped in to help address our pet's needs. She arrived at the right diagnosis and prescribed the proper medicine and food. Our pet is now healthy, and we are very grateful for Dr. Handley's expert care during this time.
