Good Dog Training School is a canine training organization based on the philosophy of positive training methods and having fun with your dog. Founded by Bob Burkhardt this philosophy was developed during Bob's 25 years of experience. Purchased in 2008 by Lynne Moore, Good Dog Training School continues to promote this philosophy. Our mission is to train the family dog by educating the family.

By modifying the behavior of both family and dog we can reduce behaviors such as fear, separation anxiety, jumping, not accepting a leash, lunging at other dogs and people, digging, excessive barking, and resource guarding of food and toys.
Services
Because we hold our Rattlesnake Avoidance clinics at residents homes, we like to respect the privacy of the people who live there and offer their house for our training. For this reason we don't put their address for the public to see. If you have signed up for a clinic, the address can be found in the confirmation email.
For dogs 3 months or older, the introductory class teaches basic canine obedience. You and your dog will learn to walk without pulling, come, sit, down, heel, and stay. A printed manual accompanies the class so you can do homework exercises outside class. Behavioral problems, including jumping, nipping, digging and chewing will be discussed during class.
Training your dog is one of the most important things that you can do. Often a dog's behavioral problems can be solved with training. A trained dog is a dog that is welcome to be with the family at all times, whether at home or away. As you train your dog, a strong bond develops between you and your dog.
Rattlesnake bites are a real danger to dogs living in Southern California. As warmer weather approaches, rattlesnakes come out of their dens and become active in our environment. They can be in our backyards as well in parks and along trails. The risk of death and the cost of treatment are two significant reasons to participate in Good Dog Training School's Rattlesnake Avoidance Clinic.
