We love Green Dog Pet Supply! We have been coming here for years and they are always knowledgeable about whatever we are struggling with for our dog. They do the research on all their products so that you can shop with confidence that you are only getting the best options for your pet. The bulk treats are amazing and for a smaller shop, the selection is always great.

This place has become our favorite pet store in PDX! Even though we live quite a distance from the store we happily drive here because it's the friendliest pet store in town. They offer toys that are not destined for the landfill, and high quality pet food and treats. A friend once told me that if I got a puppy, that this store would become my new Nordstrom, and she wasn't wrong. Do yourself a favor and check them out, and if you're like me, you'll find your pets store nirvana! The people who own/work here love dogs and you can feel it.

This is the best pet store in all Oregon. I promise! I started coming about almost five years ago when I got my first puppy. We have always been greeted and always been given amazing service. Always there to help and answer any question. All the staff there are so amazing and welcoming. Thank you so much for all the help you guys haven given me over the years.

I called yesterday to place an order for curbside pickup. Amazing positive attitude and when I picked up today, there was a note attached with 4 $1bills and two complimentary treats bc she went back into our file and found that there was a small price difference. I would have never known that. They are truly so welcoming and helpful!

Green Dog is great. They are very friendly and helpful every time we visit! They have lots of healthy treat options for the pups and know their products well. We were able to pick up a cooling vest for our big fluffy dog in hopes of making her a little more comfortable on walks during these hotter months. They helped us figure out sizing and shared some info/reviews about the vest while we were in the store :

The staff is so lovely socializing with my puppy which is so needed during a pandemic. They have an incredible selection of carefully curated pet supplies as well. Literally the best pet supply store in town! They have a great selection of treats, food, and accessories, and their staff is always super friendly. My dog gets so excited every time we go to "the treat store!" And during COVID, they've adapted really smoothly to curbside pickup and managing social distancing in their stores. Totally recommend!

Green Dog Pet Supply is awesome. Their staff is knowledgeable and eager to help. They have the best real dog foods including raw and they have a wide selection of toys and anything else you need for a healthy pup. They helped me get my rescue dog Sadie set up with a healthy diet which helped her gain weight and get healthy after having been a stray. Highly recommend!

I have been going here for years. The staff are warm and informative, genuinely wanting to help. Their dog food selection is very impressive. Before you complain about the prices that are higher than a big box store, remember that you're supporting a local business and their fantastic employees. An investment in your community and your pet's health.

Pretty standard boutique pet shop. One of the employees was helpful and friendly. The other was arrogant and lectured me on how to correct my dog when I redirected her from another dog who snapped at her. This shopgirl immediately came around the corner with treats and praise for my dog. I told her that I don't give praise to my dog when she almost gets into a fight. That's when she lectured me about positive reinforcement. That's fine, but I only reinforce behavior that I like. Furthermore, don't tell me how to raise my dog.

Would you tell a parent how to raise their kids? The other shop girl was nice and at least asked for my permission before giving my dog treats. There are plenty of boutique pet shops in town. I'll prefer the ones that don't cross my personal boundaries.

Absolutely love this pet store and the staff on hand. They care for your pets as if it's their own and want nothing but the best for them in a holistic approach.

I can't say enough about Green Dog Pet Supply. I rescue special need pit bulls and the staff have always been there to help. Time and again they have helped with supplements for all types of issues. They are my go to for sure.

If you truly care about your pet, you probably are already aware of Green Dog. Top notch service and products. Who else carries goat milk, in 3 different sizes. Do yourself a favor and go visit them, and ask them a question about the health or nature of your pet. They will give you sound advice every time. They turned me on to a wholistic Veterinarian that saved my dog's life and she is stable and living her golden years pain free and more or less happy. Green Dog is the best! Our pup has the weirdest and most Portland-ish of allergies: can only eat novel meats (no chicken, beef, fish, non-raw dairy, turkey, etc), otherwise she gets the serious itchies and ear infections. Green Dog has been there every step of the way with dietary suggestions and supplements, and also very open to offering samples when they are available.

They stand behind all of the items that they have selected to stock, and work hard to ease my mind when I'm trying something new for my girl in the event it doesn't work well for her. This business is top-notch: well informed employees, friendly help, and a clean and organized shop. Keep up the good work, Green Dog, and we will continue to send more business your way!

Simply the best! Huge selection of treats, food, toys, supplements and every other thing your dog or cat could ever need. Everything in the shop has been thoughtfully selected for it's environmentally friendly qualities, durability and sourcing. Very competitive pricing. The staff is friendly, fun and full of knowledge. A Portland staple, for sure!

Excellent Pet Store, they have all the Organic, Holistic, Raw & Dehydrated foods we feed our greyhounds. Excellent customer service as well, always fun to go in and browse anytime.

Staff is outgoing and informative. They love my dog and she loves them. (Not just for the treats they give her!) A little bit costly, but well worth it. Favorite pet store by far. Gizzy would give a million stars if she could.

Absolutely my dog's favorite shop, we take him there to visit and buy the great bulk dog biscuits. The staff are very friendly and very into dogs. The store is large and spacious. Great selections of everything, including specialty foods, locally made collars, puzzles, beds, toys, and treats.

Went to Green Dog a few months ago looking for a new collar for our dog. I've been to at least 7 - 8 pet stores in Portland specifically looking for a collar for our large dog (we wanted a thicker collar) and this has been the only pet store that had a good selection of larger collars. I'm pretty picky and I was looking for a certain kind of collar, and luckily we found one that was on sale - score!

The nicer collars are a little more expensive, but they had a nice variety in all price ranges. The store is really clean and large, and it's laid out well. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and even offered to order me a collar that we would like. Overall it was a really good experience and I'll probably go back and buy the matching leash sometime this fall.

Oh how I miss Green Dog and the staff! Great selection of only the best pet products. You spoiled me over the years and I need you to open a store here in Salem pronto; Seriously though, this is a great pet store. I see previous posts mentioning the prices may be higher, but folks, you get what you pay for. I mean, if you want cheap pet stuff there are plenty of place you can purchase low quality pet items. If you want quality pet items, that you don't have to worry about about, then you support local and shop at Green Dog.

Well stocked, locally owned natural pet food and supply store. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's great having all the healthiest options to choose from without having to worry about inferior or harmful ingredients.

Wonderful warm, friendly staff. Tons of great earth friendly products. I am happy to support their cause! Also, they have great waterproof jackets (proof, not resistant) called doodlebug duds which I highly recommend, and very comfy waterproof dog beds- what a great idea! Thank you guys!

I've been a raving fan since they opened. First, their layout is very aesthetically pleasing and organized; some pet stores carry an extensive inventory, but feel dirty and cluttered. The owners, Mike and Christine, are very knowledgeable, I've seen them quoted numerous times in pet related periodicals and websites. As the name implies, their business model focuses on quality products, this isn't PetSmart or (gulp) the grocery store pet aisle.

Price points are very competitive. However, even if I notice a like product for less somewhere else, I'll still purchase it here, especially to support a neighborhood business. Green Dog carries an ample selection of pet clothing, but few have the leash hole at the top, so that's the only thing on my wish list. They have a convenient frequent buyer program for most food brands.

Parking is relatively easy. Lastly, the staff they employ are A+, some have been there a long time so its probably a great place to work. They are so much more than order takers: they know their customers and product detail. Many fellow dog/cat owners love this place!

Great variety of specialty foods and unique collars and leashes. I also love that they always have big sizes of dog sweaters and jackets. Big Box stores very seldom have outerwear that fits my 55-pound dog, so I really appreciate that. Big dogs get cold too, damn it! The staff is very helpful and good at recommending products based on your needs. Since it is a small-business specialty store, you can guess that the prices are higher than at other places and their hours of operation are kind of short. I feel like I'm always rushing to get into this place before they close.

Dogs are the main clientele and they do have quite a bit to take care of them. Grain free, gluten free, meat free but not free for the taking. (insert rim shot) They have dog toys, chews, collars, leashes, treats and even artwork. They have a small cat area up front as well with organic catnip, assorted toys and leashes and scratching items to keep the felines busy.

I live with two 18 year old cats and granted they don't move around as quickly as I'm sure they once did, but catnip still works on them. The prices are what you'd expect of a boutique shop, but if you are a person who pampers their pet, then this is a great place for you. Enjoy.
