Habitat was the first place we called because it was across the street from our apartment. Our 14 year old best bud Maggie, a lab shepherd mix suddenly fell and was in a very bad way. It was pretty clear this was going to be her time and we did not want her to suffer. The staff at Habitat (where Maggie was not a previous known patient) even came to our apartment to pick up a senior dog in need. Maggie unfortunately passed that day shortly after we arrived, but the staff was so accommodating and sweet to us.

A card just arrived in the mail with a paw print and card. Our time with Habitat was short and during a very stressful/emotional time, but we were very impressed and want to thank the staff very much.

I would like to say that Habitat is by far the best Veterinary Hospital in the valley and most likely the WORLD. These guys are amazing. They treat your animal with such respect and you can really tell they want what is best for them. They go above and beyond to work you in their schedule and to get your pet the treatment they need. I've been to a few vets in the valley and these guys seem to give your animal more love and attention than the rest whilst being more cost effective as well. If I could give more stars I would. Bless them.

Words cannot express the gratitude we have for the team at Habitat Veterinarian. After accident resulting in injuries to our beloved fur baby Myllo we rushed him in. Dr Darrin Everett and Assistant Stephanie as well as front end team were so helpful. The compassion and care they gave Myllo was like he was there own. They also treated us like family.

Unfortunately Myllo's injuries were too severe and he passed away. Thank you habitat for helping us through this difficult situation, we highly recommend your business and we'll see you in the future. Sincerely Randy and Cherie.

Dr. Lee, Hannah the tech, and Stephanie the receptionist are top notch. We had a crested gecko emergency (that literally cannot be googled!) and Stephanie and Hannah were so incredibly caring, warm, and comforting. Dr. Lee preserved Yoshi's quality of life and he is going to be the happiest one-eyed gecko around. Thank you for not only seeing our pet, but caring for him too!

I would love to give this place five stars, if it weren't for the rude older woman that seems to manage the front desk. It's a shame that a vibrant, passionate and sweet staff is met with someone so undiscerning and venomous: if you don't meet this woman's need for control, you are talked down to and treated like someone that isn't coming in to pay for a high end trip to a beautiful vet.

We have had to use this vet for the good, bad, and ugly; please consider training for discretion and kindness for those that may be going through a hard time or just expect someone to be somewhat considerate at a check in for any kind of clinic. Best regards and warm wishes to a great staff- don't ever hesitate at their professionalism or kindness.

Spectacular vet. I had to bring my chinchilla in for an assessment and they were so willing to work with my crazy unpredictable work schedule so I could get him back in for a follow up appointment. I would recommend this vet to anyone.

This is the best vet in Boise! The team is always very caring and attentive. I have been able to get my little rat in day of and I always feel like she is in good care here. Everyone truly cares for critters of every kind.

The doctors and environment are great. And love supporting this local business. But you need to be aware of price gouging. They charged me $56 for a $30 over the counter probiotic. That's almost a 100 percent markup from the price at every other place. I spoke with them about this and they said that's our price and seemed to display zero understanding on the outrageousness of the price. This is enough to have me consider a different veterinarian. Definitely will not purchase anything from here. Buyer beware.

I can't say enough great things about Habitat. They've been incredibly accommodating, particularly when I've had sick pets who needed immediate medical care. I recently had a very sick bird and even though they didn't have any open appointments/were very busy, they worked to fit my bird in for immediate care. They were wonderfully caring and sweet throughout the entire process.

These people care about animals and their customers, which is invaluable since Boise is growing too quickly; there are way too many new people who've moved here and not enough veterinary services. I will always take my pets to Habitat and know they will continue to provide amazing service - even through Boise's growing pains. I can't thank Habitat enough for everything they've done to help and care for my companions.

Love the new location! The staff is fabulous- helpful and caring. The well- thought out design of payment in the private exam rooms and exit out the back of exam-room into courtyard- back to parking make this a 5-star place! Best in Boise.

Habitat is our favorite vet we've had through many moves with our deaf, 12 year old pitbull. She had dental surgery here and they were really thorough with checking up on her as well as with giving us a detailed breakdown of possible charges before surgery. Our dog loves all of the staff here. They're organized and really helpful. We'll definitely miss them now that we're moving across the country.

I could get into the details, but I'll spare you. TWICE Habitat has misdiagnosed my dog. They suggested and went through with treatment without running definitive tests. When I brought her to another nearby vet due to Habitat's lazy response to my concerns, my dog was found to have serious ailments and could have been started on the CORRECT treatments months earlier. My experience is not isolated. I know several other people in the area with similar stories. If you have a concern about the health of your pet, DO NOT go here.

I absolutely love this place. My daughter has a parakeet, and HVH has been amazing each time we have brought her in. Everyone is friendly, patient, and indulgent of nervous pet owners who have many, many questions. The care given is always professional, courteous. I highly recommend them!

Totally spot on. Communicative, covid aware, but at the same time works to make sure your pet is taken care of appropriately. We got a "covid dog", as we tend to travel, but are mostly stay in place at the moment (well, more than a moment). Our aussie has "grown up with Habitat", gotten her shots, got spayed, and they are available upon need. Great place.

I've been very pleased with the services of Habitat. My Mini Australian Shepherd is 5 months old and has gotten her puppy shots at Habitat. I have interacted with two of the vets and both have been very knowledgable answering many of the questions I've had since it's been a long time since I've raised a puppy. They have helped me decide upon a good nutrition diet, given me info on dog training in the Boise area, and helped me determine the pros and cons of spaying at different ages.

And now my Mini Aussie has been spayed. I'm pleased with the surgery, the post-op, and the stitch removal. Everyone has been super informative, answered my questions, and given me the support I need to have the best possible outcome. They definitely have my business!

Habitat is the vet to see. The whole staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We have had the pleasure to see several different doctors and every single one has made us feel welcomed. Duke was just recently neutered and Dr. Baker made us feel great about our decision. Great Place!

Habitat's staff has dealt with a lot in our 6 years. Thank you for calming our fears, popping our anal glands and humoring our neuroses. We appreciate you so much! I love that the techs come to greet Johnny 3 Pants upon arrival. He's a lucky man! Thank you for all you do and all you're doing, even during a pandemic!

Had our free roaming bunny neutered here. Great staff. Friendly and sensitive to the needs of a rabbit where an experience like this is terrifying for them.

We adopted a puppy and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Anja W. Hunter at Habitat Veterinary Hospital. It's quite the drive for us, about 40 minutes, but we read her bio on Habitat's website and we were very impressed. She did not disappoint and her expertise was worth the drive. In addition to being very kind and gentle with our pet, Dr.

Hunter was EXTREMELY knowledgable and took the time to answer my many, many, MANY questions regarding pet care, pet products, pet procedures, etc. She was also respectful of my choices as a pet owner and gave me informed consent for every potential procedure. When it came to deworming she shared all of the options and the pros and cons of each option and empowered me to make the best choice for our family situation and pet. I HIGHLY recommend her for your pet!

I had a wonderful experience at Habitat when I brought my cat in for a visit. The vet tech was so kind and friendly. Dr. Everett spent a lot of time with us, answering questions and sharing his insights and expertise. I think my cat received more time and attention than I ever have from a doctor. I highly recommend Habitat, and will happily drive across town from Eagle if I'm ever in need of vet services again.

Just love this place! They are friendly and truly love animals. I took my dog in for vaccines today and they gave him lots of attention, noted his preferences, and were very attentive. We used to go to a different vet closer to our house but the extra drive time is more than worthwhile.

Our dog recently passed away. He was ill for less than a week, and then passed peacefully at home one night. When he had lost his appetite, we took him to Habitat. They found a tumor on his liver, which was inoperable. They treated Fred with the best of care, and, as a Team, discussed alternative methods of treating him and making him comfortable during his final few days.

Once Fred passed, they took care of the cremation arrangements. They were professional, caring, and overall awesome. We got a new puppy, and Dr. Everett is her doctor. We wouldn't take her anywhere else. We have experienced nothing but good care for our pets at Habitat.

This place is absolutely terrible. Do not bring your dog here if you are a first timer. We got our 10 month old Belgian Malinois to get spayed. We didn't even meet the doctor who was performing her surgery and the vet tech said that the doctor was going to be performing the removal of her uterus during the same time as another procedure. So my dog didn't even get the full doctors attention during a surgery with one mistake could kill her.

They then proceeded to prescribe us a pain medicine "Rimadyl" without telling us the side effects. My dog lost her appetite for 5 days, had immense amount of diarrhea every hour, and threw up constantly. After looking up this drug we found out everything she had was a side effect, and they didn't even tell us. They also didn't prescribe her an antibiotic which is almost mandatory after such a heavy procedure.

We had to take her to the emergency room because spontaneous death was another side effect. This place does not care about you or your animal. And it is place we will no longer go to. I would give this place zero stars.

Willow (canine) and I have been using Habitat for our veterinary needs since 2014. They have never let me down, the staff is kind, patient and knowledgeable. Recently willow swallowed a small squeeker and it caused a blockage. Dr. Veal and her team have been so wonderful with willow and I. They show empathy to Willows needs as well as my needs. This is a tough time we are going thru at this time of year, and habit veterinary is walking through it with us. Thank you so much guy's, I truly appreciate ALL of you. Beth & Willow

Brought my dogs here for an exam and the male vet was timid, hesitant, and flinched at handling the scared pups. When he went to take their temp they each whipped their head around as if to say "absolutely not", which I am sure is common, yet he acted ASTONISHED that a dog would act like that, backed away and said they tried to bite him. I'm not going to say my dogs are passive and let a vet touch them enthusiastically, but I'm also not going to let a vet accuse them of lunging and attempting to bite when it VERY much wasn't the case. Never coming back.

I didn't have the best experience here, though I had high hopes based on the positive reviews and their claims of a holistic approach. We took my 11 year old dog in last week to check on a leg injury. She almost immediately slipped on the polished concrete floors in the waiting room. When she was being examined, the vet lifted up one of my dog's hind legs, which caused her once again to slip on the smooth floor.

This time, however, she splayed out and fell to the ground, hitting her chin on the floor (not fun for a 78 pound senior dog who already has a leg injury). If I had been warned of what she was doing in the exam I could have supported the weight of my dog. The vet then went to get a tech to help her pull my dog on her side to examine her further. When they were flipping her, she was so scared that she pooped while laying on her side.

She has never had a fearful experience like this in her life. The vet did diagnose her (hopefully correctly) and alleviated my fear of a CCL tear, which is why I am giving more than just one star. I emailed the vet the same evening that we were in because I had some more questions that I forgot to ask, and a week later I still haven't heard back.

We drove 30 minutes each way with a dog who doesn't like car rides because we had high hopes for this clinic. We will not be returning, and next time we will instead try the highly rated Woodington Vet which is much closer to us and offers more affordable prices. A word to the wise -- you may want to consider rugs on your very slippery floors when you have senior or injured dogs in for an exam.

I love this place.it really kicks all other veterinarian clinics in this area in the butt! They are doing awesome work here, and it lines up with my philosophy of taking a more natural approach! I'm a Chiropractor (for humans) and I like to find the cause of the problem and not just throw medication at every little thing. On top of the usual treatments Habitat also offers Acupuncture, Chiropractic, and herbal supplements and vitamins.

The Veterinarians at Habitat are very specialized and knowledgeable. AND THEY TRULY CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR FURY FAMILY MEMEBER! No matter where you live in the Valley.it is worth it to take your pet here.their "whole health" approach can't be beat!

I wish I could give 10 stars. We moved to town last fall with two dogs, one 7 and one over 14. After reading reviews, we chose Habitat and had great first visits with Dr. Maleki, and made sure we were caught up with all our exams and in the know about what to expect in our new environment. Fast forward to last week when it became obvious that our senior dog was ready to be put down.

She had a scary to us and uncomfortable to her health crisis, and I called Habitat. The techs were very helpful, and I spoke to Dr. Frost who helped me understand what was happening. We then scheduled to bring her in within a couple hours (they will come to your home as well), and Dr. Baker helped us put her peacefully to sleep. Everyone was so kind and respectful to her and to us. We felt informed and comforted on a very difficult day. Special thanks to the short blond tech who smoothed our way. I recommend them wholeheartedly.
