Services
Established in 1986, Halliday's Pet Resort & Day Care comes highly recommended by the Canton Police K-9 unit who lodge their dogs with us when they're "off-duty." The area's leading veterinarians also find comfort leaving their dogs with us for daily day care and boarding when they must travel without them.
Why not have a clean and pampered pooch run to you after spending time with her friends at the facility?. Although we provide the amenities for your dog's entertainment, they're actually the ones who entertain us while they're here. These aren't your standard amenities. Learn about our Jogging Track and special care for puppies, timid, or older visitors who require a bit more TLC.
The Pet Care Services Association (formerly known as ABKA or American Boarding Kennels Association) is the non-profit trade association for thousands of pet care service businesses in the United States and around the world. Only Pet Care Services Association members commit to the Pet Care Services Association Code of Ethics and the Pet Owners' Bill of Rights which assures pet owners that their beloved pets will receive professional, loving care.
Believing that each dog and cat has its own personality and therefore deserves its own original place to call "Home" when they stay with us, owners Chuck and Kim Halliday were inspired to provide a different theme for each lodging room. With the creative theme ideas like "Hard Bark Cafe" and "Kitty City, " Chuck and Kim have enlisted the artistic vision and design skill of local artists and friends, Joe and Jennifer Rutherford of Upon a Wall to bring that inspiration to Halliday's Pet Resort.

Done with Hallidays. Last time I dropped my dog off she came home with kennel cough. This time, totally different story. She came home with a huge, blood-filled tick the size of a dime attached to her ear. And, she came home limping. I mean limping to the point where she cannot walk. To top it all off, I requested they send pics of her daily so I could see how she's doing.

I didn't receive one single picture, which if they had done what they were supposed to I could have been able to see she was limping and in such pain, and had them give her the pills that were sent with her for her stay! I emailed, no response. I called, the phone just rings and rings despite the 4-5 girls always sitting around at the front desk every time I go in there.

Nobody cares. Hallidays can expect to make this right far beyond the $170 they will refund me. They can pay for the vet bills and what other courses of action I choose to take against them. I wish I could show everyone reading this review the videos of her limping. It's heartbreaking. Please don't send your beloved pets here! Edit/Update: was called by the "owner" two hours later, told that my dog is "perfectly fine" and laughed at by her. These people need to be put out of business.

Have used Halliday's for years. They continue to improve. Dogs always come back healthy and happy (cannot say that about all kennels). Definitely recommend them. In perhaps 30 is it's we've never regretted taking our pups there.

The staff there is always polite. My dog absolutely loves going. He gets super excited when I tell him he's going to doggie school!

I had been taking my dog here for two years. I do a half day which is 6 hours I was 6 hours and 20 min and they charged my for a full day which is 12 hours. When I said something they said it was there policy. Ladys at front desk were rude and Inconsiderate. They could of handle the situation by saying anything over 6 hour we will have to charge a full day next time.or they could of prorated the time.

Have boarded my dog here numerous times over the years. Halliday's is clean, staff is/has always been courteous and responsive. Never had a bad experience. Personally not a fan of the day care concept for my dog for health and safety reasons, so I pay for extra walks.

Front desk staff was incredibly rude to my girlfriend who had never been there before and the way she was treated was unacceptable. Under no circumstances should anyone be brought to tears trying to drop a dog off at a daycare center. You people have some nerve treating customers in this manner. I will make sure everyone I know never visits this daycare.

I gave you one star and that's generous I wish I could leave zero. UPDATE: To this day no-one from this daycare center has made any attempt to rectify the situation or return my phone call, as a matter of fact the rude employee that created this problem in the first place not only immediately called me after this review to tell me I was wrong about her behavior and yell at me for the review. but she then proceeded to hang up on me as well to only further reinforce the trash behavior she exhibited when I told her she was wrong and I disagreed with her.

I spoke to someone else about all of this and was told I would be hearing back from them or the owner same day to which I have received no contact in over a week. Guess this daycare likes bad reviews. Don't waste your time with this place they clearly don't care about you or your dog.

My dogs love it here! We've boarded our dogs here several times now, both at the Canton and Belleville (now closed, sadly) locations, and they are always super happy and tired when we pick them up. The staff is always friendly and it's obvious they all love the animals like their own. Great prices for boarding as well, and we love all the extras available for purchase.

We received a call while away overnight. Hours after dropping off our dog we received a message that she was bitten by another dog. We returned the message in the morning and no one called us back after several hours. When we picked her up, we were scolded for not calling back, charged for the "walk" that led to her bite, and charged for two days even though we rushed home early to see how bad it was. We are taking her to the vet and purchased medication for the wound. We're so upset, not only by how this might have happened, but how they handled it.

Our dog gets some anxiety. They have special notes to make sure he is in the same room, and he loves fetch. We have been going here for about 9 years, and are pleased with how they care for our dog.

I have been a repeat customer of Halliday's (all locations) for over 3 years and never had any issues until April-May 2021. I boarded my Mastiff there three times (April 15-19, April 30- May 3, and May 27-June 1, 2021). All three of these stays, my dog has come home with issues. The first time he came home with a nasty gastrointestinal infection. The second time he threw up a large piece of black rubber, which was not from a toy that I sent with him.

This last time I pick him and pay, no mention of any issues from the staff. About 6 hours after I picked him up I get a voicemail saying he swallowed an entire tennis ball on Saturday (picked him up on Tuesday) and he hadn't passed it yet. This was not a toy I sent with him and I was under the impression that I was paying for private 1:1 supervised play time for him and that no additional toys other than the ones I sent would be provided to him in the kennel while not supervised.

Obviously not the case. They claimed they called both me and my emergency contacts on Saturday when it happened. This was not the case. I received no phone calls, and neither did either of the emergency contacts I have on file. He threw up the tennis ball on Wednesday (see picture). Halliday's has forever lost my business and I hope that this review can prevent any other pet owners from experiencing the same things I have the past couple months. Very disappointing from a business I trusted for so long with my EM.

Now it speaks for itself when my dogs tail is wagging so fast and hard and jumping up on the counter to see the staff. We were absolutely thrilled to see this reaction when we picked our fur baby up. Plus this was her first time there because we travel full time. Wow. This place was amazing. Much to offer and to us, very inexpensive. Professional and kind staff as well. Thank you all.
