The clinic's staff is helpful and communicative, but the vet I've been seeing, Dr. Lowenthal, barely listens to a word I say when I try to explain what's happening with my dog, is constantly trying to up sell diagnostics that have nothing to do with the issues I'm bringing. I brought my dog in for a very minor ear infection and some antibiotics for a chronic condition he's been treated for before and was given a $1500 estimate including a full blood panel, urine culture, ultrasound and an allergy shot for "itchiness" (despite me trying to explain more than once that my dog was not having any itching).

I also got a whole rundown of all the possible diseases that could be causing these problems -- which is fair, I realize that it is partially the responsibility of any doctor to go over all possibilities, that's fine -- but given absolutely no context, symptoms, possible prognoses, or even potential treatment plans beyond a list of scary sounding names and a battery of tests that would need to be done.

Could the chronic rash my dog gets be canine cushing's disease? I guess, sure, anything is possible, but is my dog presenting a single one of these symptoms beyond just having a rash? Absolutely not. Fortunately, like I said, this is a chronic issue my dog has dealt with before--and was actually treated for at this very clinic--so I was able to recognize the script the moment it began and prevent myself from getting whipped up into an anxious frenzy, ready to go into debt for tests that will ultimately amount to nothing.

The doctor also doesn't seem to read any of the notes taken by the assistants, all of whom listen intently and speak with you about the issues your dog is presenting when they pick them up. It's beyond frustrating to feel like you're talking to a brick wall who is focused completely on wringing as much money out of you as possible.

This place is still curb side assistance. Really! All other vet business aren't anymore. No need to be. Unless they plan on making you wait a extremely long time and over charge you. There's no need to keep us apart from our pets anymore. Read the room, Blue Cross Pet hops.

Honestly this clinic is EXTREMELY RIDICULOUS FOR THE WAIT IN CAR! Especially here in The Valley! It's hot! And our pets and us don't got time to wait! Especially right now Gas to expensive to just have car running with AC. I feel it's common sense if we are okay paying the bill we should be getting The GREATEST AND FAST SERVICE! Anything other then the wait in the car to process just a checking in. their find I guess, haven't been inside with my pet and the vet to seee how vet really treats my pet.

I've been coming here for my dog for three years because of their proximity to my home, but the care they provide is bad enough to force me elsewhere. They appear to be massively over-subscribed for the amount of work they put in, and I've found it almost impossible to talk to an actual vet about my dog's care. Wait times on the phone and "in person" (i.e. in their parking lot) are extreme.

And for all this, their price structures can be absurd (~$500 for routine blood work needed to renew a prescription, and a huge markup over online pharmacies when actually filling subscriptions). They've also botched the writing of prescriptions, requiring extended back-and-forths between a pharmacy and their badly understaffed clinic. It's hard to imagine that one couldn't do much better.

A waste of time. I was told to wait in the parking lot for curbside pickup and someone would contact me. I ended up waiting close to an hour before I got the attention of one of the vet techs going in and out of the parking lot. I noticed online that the close time was 2pm (it was currently 1:20pm) and I was concerned if there would be sufficient time to get my dog looked at.

The vet tech informed me closing time was only ten minutes away (1:30pm) I called the receptionist and was told that "they had tried calling me." I checked my phone and I had received no call. Worse case they outright lied about calling me, best case they called some other number. I am leaning towards the former since a) my phone history didn't record a call and b) f they were truly trying to contact me, why wouldn't they just check the parking lot?

Inefficient. Clearly trying to up-sell. Poor communication. Very disorganized. Was told to arrive early for my 2:15 appointment so I arrived at 2:05. Didn't get the paperwork to fill out until 2:35. They did not have any information we provided them before we arrived. Dog taken by tech at 2:50. Vet finally called at 4:15. He didn't have the dog's full information. Waited for another call back, which came at 4:50. Had to be put on hold because their records and mine didn't match.

And we find out there that they wouldn't do the blood work we came for. Still waiting at 5:05. Essentially they charged us $110 and made me lose 3.5 hours of my life for a rabies shot. We'll be trying a different vet after this.

Multiple calls out to Dr. Jones Eric and multiple front desk agents We've been waiting ten days to receive a call back on a very important blood test that was done on one of our pets. They have stated they have the results but for almost 2 weeks NOBODY is around to read us those results and nobody has called us back as promised. Don't waste your time or your pets at this facility

From the initial contact to picking up Gracie, my dog, the staff made sure that I was aware of all aspects of her care. I very much appreciate the way they have handled the every shifted landscape of COVID while still maintaining a high level of care. They are exceptionally busy and I was shocked to be able to know that they were taking on new clients as other vets aren't doing so.

Each person I spoke with was patient and caring and made sure that I understood the procedures, the reasoning behind them and the costs. They were efficient but I never felt brushed off as there were a lot of people waiting. I was great to be able to safely speak with Dr Lowenthal and the other staffers in the parking lot to understand the next steps as well. This is a wonderful vet in the area.

I came to blue cross on a whim. There was a scheduling error with my vet, and they were unable to see me within an appropriate amount of time, and boy am I glad that was the case! Where every other vet had 2-4 week wait times, blue cross got me in, in a couple of days. I showed up 1 hour early because I wasn't quite sure what to expect in terms of wait time.

They had a full appointment list, but we're still very kind and courteous. The staff was quick and efficient, they treated freckle with the utmost care! I would give them a very easy 10 out of 10! One of the best vet experience's I have ever had!

I can't really comment on costs, as I don't track costs from vet-to-vet, so who knows? I do know that Dr. Howl took very good care of our senior cat, Spike. He feels much better now. All the techs were wonderful, too, as well as reception. All good, thanks! :
