Happy Cat Retreat

Do not leave your cat at this kennel. It is filthy and the owner Stan is mentally unbalanced and ill suited to deal with the public. I dropped my cat off Monday morning and picked her up Wednesday morning. Stan told me the bill was for 2 1/2 days. I asked him why it is was two & a half days and Stan got extremely aggressive & belligerent telling me to get out kennel and never come back. Again beware, the owner has some serious mental health issues.

Happy cat retreat was so amazingly friendly and well informed that I felt instantly comfortable leaving my cat with them. Opie had a great stay and we will be using them for any future boarding needs. Highly recommend

I had a family emergency and needed to board my moms cat quickly. Stan, the owner, was very nice and helpful to get her cat in to his facility. Unfortunately, it was very dirty, unsanitary and not at all what his website showed. I felt so bad leaving him there but Stan assured me he'd move Max to a "kitty condo" with a window. Max was never moved but was kept in his dark small space.

When we came back to pick him up a week or so later Max had lost weight, smelled awful and was obviously distressed. I think this used to be a good place for cats but he can no longer keep up on cleanliness, repairs and all the needs of the boarded cats. I would never recommend this facility and would suggest to keep looking. We found an amazing cat boarding facility in Loveland to use now.

We have used this kennel twice and have noticed a deterioration in the cleanliness over this time. There are an overwhelming number of cats who interact outside of the suites. We will not be using this kennel again for our cat.

Love this place. My cats are getting spoiled! I hope they will be willing to come home with me when this is over. The places are big enough to house 4 cats. Each room as a place where they can go outside into a equally large outdoor cage. I gave him a full bag of food but he asked if he could give them wet food as well? I said yes. He also asked me if I would be ok with letting my cats out to mingle with the other cats and to stretch their legs. Again I was like sure! He truly is a cat lover and has a heart of gold for the cats. There probably is not a better place to keep your fur balls!

Cat doesn't like being put into the carrier for transportation to Happy Cat, but seems to enjoy Happy Cat while he's there. They have unique kitty-condos that enable the cat to step outside the building into a secure area where the cat can get some good sniffs and sounds of the outdoors, and maybe enjoy a sun-bath.

5+++++! If I could give more than 5 stars to Happy Cat Retreat, I would. Stan is absolutely amazing! We were evacuated due to the Cameron Peak Fire & Stan made space for our 2 cats immediately. They had never been away from home and I was a basket case worrying about how they would handle this new stressful situation. Stan took the time to text me & send photos and videos of how they were adjusting.

Our female is ultra-shy & wouldn't come out of her box. Stan made time every day to talk to her & give her extra strokes. The fact that she let him hold her is testament to his calm & loving personality. We can NEVER repay Stan for the special love & care that he gave our cat kids in our time of need. THANK YOU, Stan! You are a one-in-a-million kind of person!

Stan & Mary are awesome! Our little Finn loved his stay at happy cat. The folks there truly care about all the cats staying in the kitty condos. Cannot say enough how great this place is! Would recommend this place to everyone for boarding all your kitty buddies. All the cats in the place were very happy and our Finn came back home happier than ever. Not stressed or unhappy one bit! We booked a ten day stay for our cat Jane while we went home for the Holidays. This was our first time booking a stay for our cat and it was her first time away from home and us- So we were very anxious and nervous leaving our baby. Stan and Mary made us more comfortable and at peace than we could ever wish for. They took such good care of our baby.

Their rooms are so spacious and cozy, having all your cats needs. Stan sent me updates and even pictures of Jane to keep us updated during her stay. He took her out to play, pet, and give affection. We will never book a stay anywhere else. We trust Stan and Mary whole-heartedly and are so thankful for them and The Happy Cat Retreat. We'll be recommending them to all our furiends and we recommend them to you to!

My cats really enjoy their stays at Happy Cat Retreat. They've stayed several times and never had any doubts about using them again. Stan is a really nice guy & loves my cats. Happy Cat always makes sure my cat's shots are up to date and I can feel sure all the cats that stay here are up on their shots as well. We will continue using Happy Cat Retreat for a long time.
