I live in a "no pets" townhouse complex where management has allowed the long term tenants to keep the pets we have but no more are allowed. There's a residential neighborhood next to us and a cat that was abandoned by its owner has started hanging out in my yard looking for food and making it so I can't let my cat outside. Management is also threatening to call animal control.

I called this place to see if they could take the cat because he's really sweet and could be adopted and the woman that called back was awful. She could've told me right at the beginning of the call when she identified herself that they're full, but she let me tell her my situation with multiple "mhm"s and "ok"s before interrupting me to rudely say "I'm gonna cut you off right there.

We're full" (like she didn't have ample opportunity before that to say they were full). She said I'd have to find a place that isn't and when I said all places are full all the time though so unfortunately he'll end up at the pound or something she snaps "don't try to guilt me into taking him!" I was shocked and said I wasn't and she didn't have to be so rude when I'm trying to help this poor baby to not be put down.

She hung up on me in mid sentence! She mentioned twice that she has 10 calls to make today. So what? That's your job! I honestly don't understand why all these places are staffed with such rude and miserable people. I get that they can't take him, that's fine, but do you have to be so rude and unprofessional when talking to people? If you have to deal with this place, good luck.

My brother in law passed away and left his sweet cat, Topher. I couldn't keep him because of my living situation. They took him, took loving care of him, and found a good family for him. They're on my yearly giving list forever. They are unsung heroes and should be supported.

Wonderful place to adopt a cat. Helpful and friendly staff that are responsible, respectful, and caring. I adopted Duke and love him to death. Thank you for taking such great care of him.

I got a sweet little kitty girl. She was feral, so she's very shy. Love my kitty and they take good care of the animals so they get 4 stars, but don't expect to go into the shelter and have a selection of adoptable cats. You'll want to make appointments since they have so many in foster homes.

This place wasn't even open to speak to anyone. You call the numbers listed and placed on a call tree of 311. Which goes around and and around. I wouldn't have been there if if wasn't for the fact of my family's heartbreaking situation of having to surrender our cats. That's bad enough, but then you try to do everything you can to re-home them so your family's safe from losing there only place to sleep and you get to a CLOSED DOOR, with all sorts of signs but no contact info. Really heartbreaking, thanks

We adopted our little girl here and what a joy she is! We named her Little Bit (they called her Virginia) and she fits right in our family! Adoption fee is $100 and the kittens are spayed and neutered, first set of shots, flea treated, etc. Their facility is clean and all of there felines are happy and healthy!

This establishment has made such a positive impact on my life. Adopted a beautiful kitten and 1.5 years later she is thriving and happy. Happy Tails truly cares about the animals in their sanctuary.

My family and I adopted an adorable, young male Bombay (black cat) breed cat and he was a pure joy! Happy Tails also had policies that allow you to return the animal in the case you cannot take him/her with you in the case of a move. They chip the animals and take great GREAT care of them. I loved that cat and love Happy Tails. I truly encourage everyone to give it a go.

Despite moving and not being able to take our kitty with us, it truly is a peace of mind moment to know that Happy Tails will not turn you or a cat adopted away due to human life affairs. That's unheard of in my experience so I can respect that and recommend them with deep gratitude and appreciation.

I recently did some light renovations to happy tails, and as an animal lover I am thrilled to see such an excellent resource for both stray animals and the community. Cats cost less than 80$ to adopt and come spayed or neutered with all their shots. I will be returning to happy tails to adopt a cat when I move into a new housing situation that allows pets
