Happy Tails Doggie Playgroup provides a fun, safe, convenient and healthy way to meet your dog's exercise and socialization needs. It helps prevent destructive behavior that can be caused by loneliness if left at home during the day. Additionally, our private play yard is a safe alternative to dog parks, ensuring that your dog is fully supervised while socializing with other healthy, non-aggressive dogs. Our staff will pick up your furry friend each morning and safely return your loved one back home after 3-4 hours of play and exercise.
With Happy Tails Pet Services, you are assured safe, reliable and responsible service. Your loved ones will stay in a secure, familiar environment, follow their customary routine and diet, avoid exposure to illness from other animals and receive loving individual attention. We provide exceptional accommodations and oversight throughout the night, so you have no worries during your travels.
If you are like most animal lovers, you hate leaving your pets in unfamiliar surroundings when you travel. You can arrange for friends and neighbors to take care of your loved ones at home, but often, they are too busy, and you don't like to impose. Our service provides your cat, bird, rabbit, and/or other pets the care they need while you're away - right in your own home.
Happy Tails Pet Services has been in business for nearly 15 years and owner/operator Christine Roberts has been involved with animal care for more than 20. While enrolled in the University of New Hampshire's Animal Science Program, Christine worked as a veterinary technician, where she quickly realized the difficulty most people have when they leave their pets.

This review is being posted as both an almost prior customer and someone who has a family friend who worked for this company and has shared about their time as an employee there. For anyone who has a dog attending this daycare or who is thinking about it, should know that the owner does not have potential customers meet at the daycare location prior to attending, but she goes to their homes.
This is because she does not want customers to see the unfortunate environment that the dogs are expected to spend their full day in which includes small areas of 20-30+ dogs of mixed breeds and different temperaments. This aside, the dogs are spending 5-6 hours per day inside of a car driving around with staff members. I have learned of scenarios where dogs have gotten into aggressive fights to the point of almost death to only be broken up by one staff member who happened to be brave enough to interfere. Lord only knows how often this is happening and how it's handled each time.
I was astonished to hear all this and more. And I couldn't believe how many dog owners were ok with not seeing the facility prior to agreeing for their dog to attend. When asked where the owner is during business hours, I was told typically not on site or aware of what is happening at the facility. If it weren't for some of the animal loving staff that worked here, these animals would be deprived each you think they are being cared for properly. If you care for your animal, you will NOT send them to Happy Tails Pet Services!

I have been using Happy Tails for 16 years. Happy Tails has been with me from when I adopted my rescue yellow lab (who passed away) to my two new dogs. I was a single busy professional when I met Christine and now I am a wife/mom with two kids and still a busy professional. Christine and her team have been the reason why I am able to have such wonderful dogs as part of my family.
I spoke with her before adopting my first dog and knew that I had the care I needed for when life got hectic. Happy Tails has always been there to take exceptional care of my dogs. I trust them fully and my dogs have always flourished in their care. One of my rescue dogs, Chase, came to me very nervous. Christine came to my house, built a relationship with Chase and made sure he got special treatment (he even got to sit in the front seat) when going to daycare.
I often have to call them last minute because of changes to my schedule and they always accommodate. They also have in-home boarding with pick up and drop off from your home, which makes travel so much easier. I know my dogs are safe and happy with Happy Tails. I highly recommend Christine and her team of highly trained staff!

Christine has been in the pet services business for many years. She is a great care-giver to her pets and pets needs. We've been bringing our dog there for many years and her and her staff are above the normal pet care services. Their type of service is that they watch over the dogs to be sure that they are all safe and cared for during their time there.
What service would pick up your dog in the morning and drop off early afternoon and the pets can stay in or go outside during that time; it's better than your dog sitting home for hours and finding not so great surprises when you arrive home. I highly recommend her services for exceptional pet care.

Happy Tails Pet Services, really saved the quality of our lives! Before we found Happy Tails, we could not go anywhere or do anything for any significant length of time. Christine, the owner has approximately two decades of experience and it really shines through! To be honest, we almost did not reach out to Happy Tails because their cost were so low compared to other pet service providers.
After other pet services had turned us away and the three doggy "meet and greets" had "failed" because our dog was too high maintenance and skittish, we decided to give Happy Tails Pet Services a call. Christine knew exactly what to do to ease the anxieties of our dog and was able to not only board her without a problem, but managed to help our dog transition from suburban to city life.
There has been a noticeable and lasting difference in our dogs demeanor since she has spent time at Happy Tails Pet Service! Without the typical transparent, pandering that many other companies ply on, we received the care and attention that our dog truly needed! I, and more importantly - our dog, look forward to a long relationship with happy tails pet service!

Had our dog bordered here while away on a 6 day vacation. Returned home and our dog was dropped off. She had a very large wound that needed immediate medical attention. No note/message/communication from the business about our pet's health, behavior, or well being. Business claimed ignorance. Vet said wound was at least 2 days old. Business did pay for the vet bill. We are no longer doing business with Happy Tails.

We've been sending our dog here for nearly 4 years now twice a week for play dates and on occasion for overnights. Christine and her crew are amazing with out little girl, she has separation anxiety and since becoming a regular with Happy Tails she has stopped being destructive and plays well with other dogs now. Highly recommend for any dog.
