They did a great cut on my dog I give them that but its very concerning to me that my dog was 100% ok prior to her grooming visit, when my son and I picked her up we noticed she had a very raspy bark as if someone put the restraining harness around her neck to tight while they were grooming her . I called to ask the front desk person if she was barking excessive and she brushed it off by saying I didn't hear your dog bark and contradicted herself by saying she wasn't there anyways. Long story short my dog has a very sore throat and I will not be going back here, I believe they were rough with my dog

I am new to the area and boarded my 14 year old dog here for 1 night. He was well cared for and happy. I have scheduled another stay!

Colleen and her staff always take great care of our two pups when we leave them for boarding. Two walks a day keep them well adjusted and happy, and their grooming service always sends them home clean.

I found their grooming services to be annoying and expensive. I called ahead when setting up my appointment and had a run down of a la cart options provided to me. I specifically said I didn't want a package deal, just nail grinding. I was informed, and confirmed on their website that nail grinding was $15 plus an additional $5 for a groom, which consisted of a brushing. Great, I thought.

When I went for my appointment they had my dog down for a bath, I corrected them and left. When I picked my dog up they charged me $55 because she had a bath, and thought I was crazy for thinking it would be anything less. I told them repeatedly that's not what I wanted or was quoted, but they were very adament that since she received the bath that I pay for it. It was very frustrating. I could have received the exact same services at PetSmart for $30. I will NOT be using them EVER again.

A friend got a dog several years before I did. She toured kennels as if she were choosing a daycare for her children, and then picked Harvard Kennels for her Cocker Spaniel. So when I needed to take my dog somewhere, I just went there. The staff are very professional. They can tell you in great detail how your pet fared while there. There is a vet upstairs, so if any illness or injury happens, they can call you for permission and take care of things. My dog has always been fine here. It's a little more expensive than other local options, but worth it!

Harvard Kennels is an excellent caring kennel for both dogs and cats. I previously had a German Shepherd from the MSPCA who could be dog-aggressive. Harvard took him with no problem where other kennels we looked at did not want to take him. They kept him separated. I recently boarded our older cat who was a stray. Ashley in the office took good care of him in the two weeks he was there.

There was a $1 a day charge to give him our food.no big deal. She was able to tell me how he did during his stay where at first he hissed at the caregivers but then he warmed up to them. The cat boarding area is bright and has a window. Most importantly the cat kennel room smells clean and not like cat urine! Every other cat place I have been to smelled badly. Donna, the owner, John one of the long time caregivers, and Ashley do an excellent job of caring for dogs and cats while their owners are away! Your pet will be well cared for here.

We frequently board our high-strung 8 year old lab (Norman) at Harvard Kennels. The staff is very friendly and clearly love animals. They are able to handle dispensing Norman's medications, and allow Norman to bring along a blanket and his favorite toys. For a little extra money a day, Norman is afforded 1:1 play time 3 times a day. The only criticism is that the office where you drop off your pet also smells like a kennel. However, in the end Norman's reaction to coming to Harvard Kennels tells the true story, if the door to the kennel area is open he will run down the hall (not even saying goodbye!) ready to have some fun.

We have used Harvard kennels for years. They know our dogs and take wonderful care of them. This is the place! There is no other like it and we searched. When we first left our dogs, I was nervous. I called almost every day to check on them and they were always so pleasant. I know it isn't always easy dealing with a pet owner that is crazed but they put my mind at ease and I can now travel out of the country and not worry about them. We have left them for 10 days and they always come home happy and healthy!

Trustworthy, however the kennel is VERY loud and I would only ever let an older and larger dog stay there. It is all cement and the incessant barking of the dogs is deafening. I have a small dog and I let him spend a night there. He never left the kennel I left there for him. His bedding was soaked with urine because he was too scared to go outside of it I assume from all the noise.

We boarded our 1 year old black lab here last September when we went on our honeymoon to Greece. I have to say they did a good job with our "crazy" pup. The first few days he barked a lot but then seemed to settle down and make friends! I would board here again if we had to board. I liked the fact it was part of a vet practice (just in case)! He also had a nice a nice little card that said how his stay went. Would recommend this place to other pet parents!
