Chris was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota with his 3 brothers and border collie! As a child, Chris wanted to be a cartoonist and a soldier and ended up serving in the military. Afterward he moved to Arizona and started working at Hassayampa in 2017. When not playing with his little red dachshund, Chris enjoys portrait painting!

Amazing staff, clean facility and people who genuinely care. We boarded our big dog there for over a week and we got pictures every other day of him having playtime with the staff. They are so sweet and didn't mind some slight crying in the lobby when we dropped him off. If you're looking for a place where they will love you baby like you do while you're gone I highly recommend this resort.

I picked up my fur baby after her stay of 4 days and she was caked in feces from the top of her head, back, and all 4 paws. It took me 4 baths to clean her. She also had no voice because it appears she must have been barking the entire time. She typically does not bark. I have always used Hassayampa Canine Resort since the beginning when it was under different ownership. I WILL NEVER TRUST THEM WITH MY LITTLE LILLIE.

Supper friendly and very supportive of our situation, my cat needed to get the lazer treatment for a spine disease she was recently diagnosed with. They even called for a follow-up the day of treatment just to see how she was doing!

Having read the good reviews and testimonials, we decided to take our 6mo Bernedoodle for a day of play. Our first encounter was with a young girl at the front who was clearly harried. We (mistakenly) thought Jack would be joining puppies in play and asked to watch. This request clearly annoyed her a great deal. However, another employee (Jewells) very nicely escorted us to the grass area where she brought out 3 other puppies and we were able to watch for a short time. Apparently, Jack would have another opportunity to play.although pictures posted that day didn't show him playing again, so we had no way to really know.

We took him again two days later for a couple of hours. He did not want to go in but was left anyway. I left his backpack with them, explaining his lunch and toys were in it. When I picked him up, his backpack was still at the front. When I asked why he hadn't been give lunch, no one had an explanation.they were actually quite clueless. I'm wondering, given the positive reviews dating back to a year or so ago, if they are under new ownership.

My overall feeling about leaving him there for the purpose of puppy play was not positive and we won't be going back. UPDATE. The owner contacted me and apologized and explained there were some staffing issues. He offered another play date where I could observe Jack. So I.am feeling much more comfortable using his services.

Jim and his staff were phenomenal. My wife and I moved to Prescott from Phoenix within the last year so we needed boarding for our lab. Hassayampa Canine is top notch. Exceptional, clean facilities, professional/honest staff, and an all around great environment for the dogs. I would highly recommend this outfit. Also, boarding is climate controlled, fresh water, and plenty of fenced dog runs. Thank you, we'll definitely be back.

If you care about your dog at all, DO NOT take him or her here. We left our 8 month old Border Collie for one night and we truly regret it. He was COMPLETELY soaked in urine, his collar was taken off, and his bed was soaked as well. It smelled like it was used to mop the entire place; we had to drive home with the car windows down because the smell was so horrendous.

They brought him out with a lead wrapped around his neck AND leg. He was extremely dehydrated and his bag of food was almost as full as it was when he got dropped off. We included a new sealed bone to keep him busy, but they couldn't be bothered to give it to him. We got it back still sealed in its package. He hasn't had a bathroom accident in 4 months yet ended up soaked head to toe, and they bring him out like it's no big deal while accusing this sweetheart dog of being aggressive the entire time.

He's also been nervous, flinching at every noise we've made; as if he's 'on edge.' We picked him up three hours ago and he's been asleep for two hours, after eating faster than he ever has. I'm assuming he didn't get a lot of sleep. We gave them our number to call in case there was ANY issues yet they never called. The woman up front gave us a repetitive ear beating, disrespectfully and inaccurately describing our dog in every way.

She also tried to charge us double the rate we were given. I'd highly recommend avoiding Hassayampa Canine at all costs and getting a place that offers webcams. There's definitely a reason this place doesn't offer that service. Here's a couple pictures after we cleaned him and the bed. STAY AWAY from this place, your pup will truly appreciate it.

I am a single dog mom with a very busy schedule. I have been taking my little Tuck Tuck to Hassayampa since he was old enough to go. He absolutely loves being there! He gets to spend the day with warm and loving people that give him lots of love! He cannot wait to get out of the car and is beyond excited! They help me so much! I trust them to take care of Tucker as if he was their own! Very Very pleased with my experience and I know that Tucky is as well!

We love the resort and all the changes and additions that have occurred in the last 5 months. It is a must see for sure! Would recommend going in for a tour and trying out the new day play!
