A great place to get pet Supplies. The folks here are both helpful and kind and they have a great selection of food and treats.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff, and a great selection of healthy pet supplies. A big bonus that they are within a 10 minute walk of my home, so they are also by far the most convenient source of kitty supplies for me.

Exceptionally friendly service! The person who helped me recommended a leather dog toy and my pooch is OBSESSED. I haven't seen her this in love with a toy maybe ever. I asked for a toy that could withstand a super super chewer and boy did they deliver. I highly recommend this store and the Tall Tails leather toys they carry. My dog sleeps with the darn thing!

I buy my bulk dog food there. prices are reasonable for a physical location vs online. People who work there are always happy to see my pups and great them with treats.

There was an older woman with short grey hair and glasses stocking shelves when I brought my dog in. My dog got excited and took one of the treats out of the bin that they keep open on the floor. I told the woman upfront that I was going to buy all of them because I couldn't tell which ones my dog had licked. Right after I said that, the older woman came over and actually got in my face (bent down and was inches from my face) and asked me to stop my dog from mouthing the items.

I wanted to ask her why the hell they would keep them open on the floor if they didn't want the dogs getting in them. I always purchase everything my dog mouths or licks at and really I didn't even have time to correct her behavior because the woman was on my ass so fast. Will be going to Sellwood pet supply from now on. My dog had done this at sellwood and when I tried to buy them they said it was unnecessary. "it happens a lot". one star for how rude the woman was.

I love needing to get dog food when I'm in Southeast because I get to go visit Healthy Pets NW. A very helpful, caring, and lovely family owned small business. Their love of animals and their people is blatantly obvious the second you walk into their store.

Been waiting for their dog wash station to reopen. It finally did but you have to make an appt at least a day in advance, no same day appts available. I arrived and noticed the dryer is no longer there. Would've been nice if the person who took my appt over the phone mentioned that. Not only is there no longer a dryer, they only give you two thin towels to dry your dog with. That's not enough for a larger dog.

I asked for more towels but they charge an extra $1.00 per towel, on top of already raising the dog bath cost from $12 to $15. I don't care about the dollar for another towel in a normal situation, but Customer Service 101 would be for them accommodate and supply extra towels to make up for the absent dryer. I basically drove home with a wet dog in my car.

I don't love this pet store for many reasons. They took way longer to reopen than any other stores during the pandemic, they never have anything I'm looking for, and now on top of the bad bath experience, I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Nice staff, but not very knowledgeable. Product selection is very minimal and a poor use of space. Almost feels empty inside. Also more on the high end. Other Small company stores carry the same products and are more affordable.

My doggo is a picky eater and also has a sensitive stomach. I liked how all of the employees were super patient while we tried and returned a few bags of food before settling on something from Nulo. My dog really liked the turkey flavor and it immediately sat well with his stomach!

Tried to give them business, but was told I couldn't enter the store. Put it online! Then I was told move out of the way because a delivery was coming. Glad I didn't spend money here.

Updating my review. Spoke to another employee and turns out the "store policy" is not "grain-free is the only way." We are all learning here, and have the same goal to do the best we can for our animals.while acknowledging that the research is in-progress in many regards. I appreciated the discussion and the new insights about feeding my puppy and will be back to the store. Nice to know they can order items and I remain committed to supporting local-both pet stores and food companies.

We love this place! They have an excellent selection of dog food, toys, and treats. In non-COVID times, we loved the self-service doggie wash (our dog is not disappointed that they have closed them for the time being :)). I have always felt comfortable asking questions or for advice - the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They are doing great in the time of COVID! I appreciate the curbside pickup option. :)

This is a terrible place to go to find pet food and supplies. Besides the way over priced garbage they "sell", their "service " is insulting! Mom has spent thousands of dollars there. Due to covid -19 and health issues, I had to go there instead. Upon arrival, the snotty bitch behind the counter was very reluctant to provide anything but an angry dismissal, demanding my personal information. Shaken by the her disgusting evil attitude toward me, I quickly gave her my information not my mom's.

She said I wasn't on her computer, and was very dismissive and walked away. She ignored me likeI wasn't worth her time, or whatever she had in her imagination. Well, I have found better pet food elsewhere. Dismiss that store, like she did me, is my advice to anyone who might think of going there.

I love this place and they will keep an order for me in house. I can't wait until they reopen the Hawthorne shop!

My "go to" pet store! Nicest people working, always very helpful. Quick to respond, always willing to go the extra mile. Possibly a tad spendier than one of the big box pretty pet stores but the quality of their more personal service is well worth it.

Have tried to give my dog a bath there several times, and every time, the rules have changed that day and the dog wash is closed. I've never seen anyone using the wash and I think they just don't want to clean it. EVER.

For 2 years I've been getting what I need for my Border Collie, Corgi and cat at the WOODSTOCK location. The folks here are friendly & helpful - I've not had a bad customer experience. They almost always offer my dogs a treat when we come in. They carry a good variety of dog/cat foods, treats, leashes and rugs. I see they carry some items for hamsters and birds, too. There's a dogwashing station at the back - so that's kinda cool! Also, you can accumulate points via purchasing to get $ off here and there.

Been coming to this store for many years. Very friendly staffs, great products, and has doggie washing stations. I got a special bowl for my pug (Thank GOD for that) and I can order food specially if not available and the price has been great. Thank you!

Checked out this pet store because online they state they have CBD oil/treats for pets. My cat has some health issues and I wanted to try CBD oil because of it health benefits on animals. After trying to get the attention of a sales rep I asked about it. The CBD oil they claim to sell is not CBD oil, it is hemp oil (which does have benefits, but not what I was looking for).

When I asked the sales person about the oil, they didn't know anything about it and walked away (I was thinking they were going to ask someone), and never came back. I was then approached buy another sales person asking if I needed help, and again I asked about the oil and it's ingredients, said the graph on the side of the case shows it doesn't contain CBD.

This person looked and me, and without saying a word, walked away. So I did my own research online and the product does NOT contain CBD. They are charging nearly $50 a bottle for hemp oil! Needless to say I will not return to this store. Please train your employees to know about the products you sell and don't advertise something that it is not.

The nicest staff. I have three cats and they have been so helpful over the years with all of their needs. They have good rewards programs as well. The foods are a little more expensive than most pet stores but the quality is worth it.

I have been here many times and have had several unsatisfactory experiences. They range from clueless staff to outright rudeness. Not to mention it's products are grossly overpriced. It is in the hood so I keep giving it a chance. Today was the last time. Their rude attitude is just over the top. I would never recommend anyone go there. In fact, I would recommend avoiding it like the plague.

So I have been coming here for awhile, and I called to specialty order a type of raw food, "Steve's raw food" over the phone my first time. Even though they did not carry it, they were happy to get it for me monthly. Since then, I came in with Bella to buy other things. My adopted dog had three pre existing conditions, bad allergies, a large tumor and arthritis.

Since I have solves two of her conditions, with surgery and meds and a special diet. Bella is greeted with a treat each time. I buy her raw bones here, her fancy dry high quality dog food and get her raw food shipped in.as I really like the company and quality of Steve's raw. Here is Bella before her surgery. She is always happy to come to this store with me.

My dog loves everything I have ever bought in this place. Food selection, treats, toys, apparel everything is A+ quality. We love it.

Popped in looking for a joint supplement for my puppy and they were very helpful. They didn't have the one I was looking for but the owner gave me a sample of a brand that I am familiar with and trust to try. I love their selection of natural treats/food. They also had a single raw bone which was awesome since i just needed one for that day. Next time I'm visiting the area I will be sure to shop here.

First of all I'm all for supporting local businesses, so please keep an open mind and still try this place out. HOWEVER I guarantee I will not be returning for some simple reasons; My husband and I walked in and were greeted instantly by a smiling lady, when she asked if we were looking for anything, I expected to be pointed in a direction and a "lemmie know if you have any questions".

That is not what happened. This employee told us about EVERY possible product available, without acknowledging that we didn't want this attention, even going so far as demonstrating the effectiveness on a someone else's pet. (Without further annoying my husband) I hurriedly bought what was suggested so we could leave. After this product proved to be useless, I went back to return it.

I was treated like a nuisance and like I was putting them out of business for asking for my money back. This place teeters between pleasantly smothering someone with costumer service or being a jerk.

I love their dog food selection and knowledgable staff. However, their hours of operation are horrible. Why open at 10 am on weekdays and noon on Sunday? For those of us that need to get our errands finished in the morning, I am usually forced to shop at a different store.

This store is a great addition to the neighborhood. It's conveniently located near a Safeway so I can pop in any time I get groceries. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. My dog always loves coming here and they know her by name. They have made great recommendations for treats for my spoiled girl. Customer service is hit or miss. Last time we had our first bad experience, but maybe it was just an off day.

Clean, well-organized store. Always top quality food and treats. Toy selection is limited, but adequate. I always manage to find something the kids like!;- GREAT staff- always friendly and knowledgable. This is definitely a very neighborhood-geared store, where the staff know the names of the animal 'regulars' that come in, and they always pass some yummy treats to the kids. If something isn't in stock, they will let you when to expect it in. Bathing station in the back, and goodies & supplies for other non-cat/dog pets as well.
